Yes, but they're basically hit-scan weapons in BoT's case---mostly because he fires them at 99.9 percent the speed of light (as is the case of even modern particle accelerators).

That's why I don't only have lasers. Just one of the many in the bag of tricks called the ASF.

The way I see it;

If something weighs 2k tons, it can lift 2k tons, but that doesn't mean it could walk up to something else that weighs 2k tons and lift it. It's -very- busy carrying itself.

Sure. But we should consider hard and fast limits on magic too.

There's already rules on that. Generally the stronger it is, the more time it takes to charge. This is offset by how many powers you have as well, more powers = more charge time for each individual.

Your tier also comes into play.

Comparison:
Erde, a character with one focused power. Most actions are immediate and as natural as moving your arm.

Ysolda, a character with a mile long list. Can cast them immediately but has a limiter on the number of times it can be cast before recharging.
