Jade lowered herself into the ground and began walking, water still spraying at the flames. She felt the wind blow out of no where and turned, a grin forming on her face as she saw Aphrodite and Dark. "Aphrodite!!" She waved with one hand before turning completely and walking over to them, giving herself a small break from the fire. "Hey you're ok!! I'm sorry for what happened the other day I should've helped but I completely froze."

Kyo disengaged himself from yet another injured man, feeling dizzy from the amount of white magic he had exuded. Taking a deep breath, he straightened himself up as Dark and Aphrodite landed.

"How are you feeling?" he asked in a concerned voice after making his way over to the group. "Any information on the sick fucks who did this to you? Have you heard from Ivy?"

His tenuous link between Ivy and Aphrodite was the beating the two girls had handed to him and Dark under Balthazar's watchful eye. Their skill had inculcated in him a sense of respect to their prowess and in turn, he felt as if Aphrodite saw something in the two of them: perseverance. Although Aphrodite was now a larger part of his life due to the nature of her relationship with Dark, Ivy had always remained cold and distant. Regardless, he still found himself dealing with anxiety as he imagined the terrible ordeal she was probably going through now. Either that or she was already dead.

"I'm fine, I'm fine, I just need to be more careful next time. As of Ivy, I got nothing, can't even create a telepathic link with her, therefore I can't sense her at all."

Kent looks over at Caistlin, who seems to be asking if he was a guardian. "No, I'm not. He is though." Nodding his towards Dark, he escorts the child to her parents while Dark deals with Caistlin.

"What Kent says is correct, I'm the only Guardian here at the moment. The shopping area usually isn't our jurisdiction, cause you know. The whole anti-wanderer committee and what not. I'm Dark Disciple, you're clearly here to help and not talk. So I say we get business and let the healers continue with their work, while we deal with the flames."

With that Dark and Aphrodite fly off, Dark using his dark magic and control of fire to extinguish the flames, and Aphrodite using her telekinesis to create shock waves to blow out the flames.

"I - well, never mind..." Caist watched the two fly off to deal with the task at hand. There were going to be some questions, but that obviously wasn't going to happen, at lwast not right now. Persistent, and curious as to what a Guardian might know about what the hell just happened, he decided to stick around. He followed after the two, enclosing large areas of the fire in airless telekenetic bubbles, smothering the flames.

Jade frowned hearing that there was no news of Ivy, a knot forming in her stomach as she remembered what had happened. She took off, back to what she had been doing before, but using much more force, focusing on the water to help clear her mind.

Jacob nodded at the other student who approached him. "Name's Jacob Rockwell. White Mage and telepath." Sighing, he looked around and shrugged. "Alright, brotha, looks like its just you and me in this hellhole. Hope we meet someone else out there." Rolling his arms in circles, he took a step forward and started running directly for ground zero.
/Jacob has left scenario 22/

#23

After a little bit of running, Jacob caught a glimpse of a few vaguely Wanderers putting out fires and helping a group of injured people, many of whom were grievously injured. Jogging up to the first person he saw going unattended, he ripped off his jacket and got to work, focusing less on the hellscape around them and more on treating the casualty's wounds. "Don't you worry, you're gonna make it out of this." After sealing up the most life-threatening wounds, he moved to the next one. "Get those other cuts looked at in a little bit. Don't let them get infected and you'll be better off than me." Lifting up his pant leg, he winked at the person he'd just helped and moved on to the next one. "Same as I said to him, just keep it clean and don't take an infection lightly."

Jesse stiffled a laugh as the other white mage charged off, ready to dive into the fray. Perhaps the two of them would get along, Jesse wondered making sure to stick close to Jacob as he ran, though it wasn't exactly the easiest endeavor. Jacob seemed to be in rather good shape. Jesse, not so much. The school quickly disappeared behind them as they moved closer and closer towards the hellscape before them.

Exit 22

Enter 23

Jesse parted from Jacob immediately as they found the injured. "Charos," Jesse commanded, the deathly apparition appearing by his side. The being would gather the nearest injured, prioritizing the heavily injured. Jesse set up shop by an elderly man who's legs had been sheared off by debris, Jesse could only guess. "Now don't worry," Jesse said softly, putting a hand against the man's head, holding him down slightly. "We're gonna get you back together..." He nearly whispered, placing his hand above the oozing stumps. Tendrils of white energy wrapped around the wound and slowly reached out, taking a hold of the severed limbs and began dragging them back to their owner. "You'll be able to walk again, I promise you." Jesse smiled gently at the man, looking him directly in the eyes as the tendrils began to pull the severed parts back together and reattach the legs in full. When the process was done, he turned to find Charos waiting patiently with another person, this time a middle aged woman, whose face was horribly charred.

"Thank you Charos, carry on." Jesse said flatly, laying the woman down on a clear patch of ground. The deep scars and melted skin slowly began to return to their original state, the process already beginning to drain him. He wouldn't have enough energy to take care of the horribly maimed and the less-so injured. "Charos," Jesse instructed as the being brought forth a young man who had a deep gouge in his leg that leaked like a broken faucet. "Please bring him and others like him to the man I met earlier." Jesse looked toward Jacob then, yelling to the man "My summon is going to bring you injured! I'm going to focus on people who have been dismembered or similarly injured and I don't have enough energy to help everyone else as well." Jesse could only hope the other white mage would be able to help those he could not as he moved on to another man whose leg had been separated at the knee. His shirt was already smeared in the blood of the injured, the red standing out against his white collared shirt. 'I must look like a mad surgeon' he sighed, closing his eyes to focus.

"Hey Dark, are they friends of yours?" Kent bellows as he points over to Marx and Jacob, Dark glances over and lets out a sigh.

"Nope." Dark says lazily, at least they are doing something useful, so he doesn't mind their company.

Kent nods his head, unconvinced by his friend's response, and carries on with the healing process. He looks around at the large group in front of him, claps his hands then extends them in front of him, a surge of energy shoots from his hands and the group heals up instantly.

Dark and Aphrodite on fire patrol, are pairing up pretty well extinguishing the flames. Dark decided it would be a good idea to use his dark magic and form two giant fans and have them wave back and forth.

"Just another form of training."

Aphrodite started to use her black magic combined with her telekinesis, creating large streams of water, dousing the inferno in front of her.

Hearing Kent shout something, Jade turns and looks to see what happened. She sees Jacob and some other guy join them in healing and turns her attention back to the fire. She pushes herself off of the ground and begins to form a layer of water under her. After it's covered a few feet, she begins flying over the flames, the water following her. It covers a good area like a blanket while the far end begins to fall, making water crash down on to the flames, extinguishing the rest of them.

Scenario 23

Ashlynn was surprised by Mei using pure fire as a form of propulsion. "You and Kyo. You were hanging around him more than investigating. Are you two a thing?", she said as she flew her way to the mall of Ceteris.

She then landed, taking in the sights and sounds and smells of destruction. Ashlynn then tended to several wounded; even though she was not a primary White Mage, she did what she could.

"This'll only hurt for a moment", she said as white wisps of light seeped into the wounds.

Raphael glanced over at the others, failing to suppress a small smile even in the grimness of the situation. The scene they found themselves in was devastating and yet, despite hostilities between the two races, humans and wanderers were working together. The healed humans genuinely seemed grateful and his companions seemed dedicated to their role as emergency respondents.

"Hey," he said, approaching an exhausted Kyo. "There's a group that's hanging back about a block away. I think the others have it covered here. Do you want to come with me?"

"Sure, let's go." replied Kyo firmly, getting back up to his feet and following Raphael as the two headed towards the unattended area.

Mei gave Ashlynn a confused look. "What? No! I had no idea what was going on, and I was looking for answers! No one's doing a great job explaining what's going on. Like, at all." She tried to land beside Ashlynn. Easier said than done. Experimental flight always meant a crash landing. As she approached the ground, Mei tried to hover and slowly lower herself down. Again, very Iron Man.

However, it did not go as well. Without thinking, she tried only stopping one jet of flame at a time. This caused her to propel forward several feet away until she finally killed all of the jets at once, skidding a couple feet on her knees. Gritting her teeth, she slowly got to her feet. Shaky landing, yeah, but it seemed like a reliable enough form of transportation. Or at least it did until the fatigue caught up with her, forcing Mei back onto her knees.

They were bare and bloody, her jeans ripped from the skidding. She sat back on her rear, placing her hands to her knees. Creating the magical equivalent of band-aids, she healed over the reasonably nasty scrapes and cleaned them. It was about this time that she noticed she was barefoot. The flames must have melted her shoes from her feet. Great. It was also then that she took in the entire scene before her.

This was worse than she imagined. While there were several taking care of the burning wreck before her, it was still very much a terrifying scene. Bodies of the injured lay out before her, with what looked like white mages tending to them. Standing up again, she slowly walked towards Ashlynn, taking care where she stepped. "I know a little white magic..." she told her.
Caist continued to follow Dark and Aphrodite, smothering flames as he went. There were more thought patterns in the area. More reinforcements, by the looks of it.

"Hey...Dark, did you guys find anything out at the lab?" Kent asks while mending a man's broken arm.

"Recollective thoughts, that's about it. Who's Kyo with?"

"Huh, oh that's Raphael, he can't verbally speak, so he uses telepathy to speak with us."

"Got ya, where'd you guys meet?"

"Here actually, when I was finishing up at home I heard the explosion go off and rushed over immediately, he beat me here and we have just been going at it, healing everyone and preventing the fire from spreading."

Dark nods his head in approval, looking over at the direction Raphael and Kyo, wondering where those two are going, but he can't think about it too much as the fire starts to intense in another area. He extinguishes those flames and looks over at the rest, and notice they are now in a smoldering wasteland, finally defeating the fire. A few black mages create a cyclone in the air to vent out the smoke in the area, the fresh air welcomes them and they all take deep breaths, filling their lungs and letting out a satisfying sigh.

Jade let herself down to the ground and wiped the sweat off her forehead, breathing deeply. "Are any ambulances coming? I'm not up for being here when the cops show up. They'll immediately blame us." She spoke to Dark and Kent as she walked up to them. "How's Cancer, by the way? Was he still out when you left him?"

Ashlynn sucked air into her teeth after watching Mei's landing. "Good", she said, focused on the survivors.

After a period of constantly healing not-too-serious-injuries, she groaned. "God, healing is so much more tiring than fighting."

Mei tended to what injuries she could. She would have been much more useful putting out the fire, but by the time she decided to give up on handing out magical band-aids, the others had killed the fire. She turned to Ashlynn as she was treating a few minor scrapes. "Depends on the injury, I guess...many of these are fairly easy."
Once the flames had been extinguished, Caist returned to his investigation of the area. The source of the blast had to be somewhere. This wasn't a traditional explosion, so point of origin may not be so discernible. Even still, he swept the smoldering ruins, looking for anything that might help.

The duo eventually reached a huddled group of men and women who seemed to be discussing something with urgency, their backs turned towards Kyo and Raphael.

"Excuse me," called out Raphael, a gentle cadence to his voice so as to not alarm them. "We're here to help. Is anyone injured?"

The group whirled around with a strange mixture of fear and frenetic energy, eyeing the two Wanderers with apprehension and distrust.

"Stay back!" warned the ostensible ring-leader, a frail-looking man with trembling hands.

"It's OK!" reassured Kyo. "If there's anyone hurt, we can heal them."

"I said stay back!" he yelled, producing a gun from his blackened coat pocket. The man lifted it up and pointed it straight at the two, immediately causing them to stop advancing.

"Stay here, Kyo. They might be more friendly if I go in first." reasoned Raphael, halting Kyo with his outstretched arm. Kyo nodded his approval of the idea and with this go-ahead signal, Raphael began to cautiously step towards the group of humans. "Sir, please put the gun down."

The man did not reply. Instead, his eyes widened and the gun stopped shaking as his muscles tightened. Raphael raised both of his hands up in the universal symbol of surrendering, hoping that the man with the gun would be assuaged.

"We just want to-"

Raphael gasped sharply and fell hard on his back as a bullet ripped through his abdomen and rocketed out of the other side. He gripped the wound tightly as Kyo scrambled forwards and landed on his knees next to him, flinging an arm upwards and creating a telekinetic sphere. Unfortunately, healing the injured had exhausted him and this barrier was nowhere near its usual strength. The continued volley of bullets, from more than one gunman, impacted hard against the barrier and dented it, continuously reducing it in size until both Kyo and Raphael were dangerously close to execution by firing squad.

The shot could be heard throughout the area. Dark's eyes widen as he knew where it came from.

"Kyo!" he screamed as he darted towards the sound with Aphrodite and Kent beside him. He spots them first, and sees that Kyo's barrier won't be able to hold much longer. He creates a dome around them with his dark magic, straining to hold on as the bullets bounce off. Aphrodite flicks her wrists and the gunmen's arms suspend in the air and they release their weapons. Kent teleports inside the barrier and quickly begins to heal Raphael, hoping he made it in time.

Jade sprinted after the others towards the gun shots, her heart pounding a million times per minute. She slid to a stop and gasped as she saw Raphael and Kyo in a small sphere before Dark put up his own barrier around them. Her eyes narrowed as she glared at the group that had shot the two, her hands raising and shooting out spheres of dark magic towards them. She barely gave them time to react; As soon as the spheres reached them, they expanded and engulfed them, then lifted a good twenty feet into the air. The spheres began to fill with water rapidly, a smirk forming on Jade's lips as she watched the people inside go from panic to fear in seconds. She closed her hand into a fist slowly and the spheres did the same, becoming smaller ever so slowly, to give them a sense of claustrophobia.

"Stay put", Ashlynn said to her last 'patient'. She flew to the noise of the gunshots and landed next to Jade, watching her drown humans in over-sized hamster balls.

She whistled. "Jesus. That's a neat trick", said Ashlynn, surprised at Jade's prowess. Ivy must have taught her well in Black Magic. Seems like being vicious was one of the things she was taught as well.
