Personality: Stoic, aloof, and detached. All words that describe Itenori well. He’s not a sociable boy, and he hates making idle conversation more than anything in the world. His focus is on doing his job and doing his job well. Anyone that tries to strike up a conversation on anything less than important is going to get shut down, and anyone that gets in the way of him getting work done is likely to take a bolt to the face.

While neither cruel nor merciless, Itenori is efficient and quite used to killing to a certain degree. He won’t hesitate to make a lethal strike or even underhanded tactics, within reason. He isn’t beyond working with others, either, though he won’t make any overtures towards being their buddy.



History: Itenori’s mother died about 2 years after his birth. He was then left to his father to take care of. His father wasn’t a cruel man or a negligent one, but he wasn’t a warm one. He took care of Itenori’s primary needs, and then he left him to his own devices. Itenori would tell you most of his early memories involve about as much of his dad as of his mom. But there was one moment where Itenosuke truly invested himself in Itenori’s upbringing. The Ryoshi clan had a tradition; the father taught their son(s) to hunt, including the use of a knife and a bow of their choosing. This was how Itenosuke had learned, and how his father and grandfather before him had etc. However, the Ryoshi clan tradition also instructed the father to refuse to feed their child once they had learned their basic skills. It was expected that Ryoshi children would feed themselves in order to demonstrate they had learned what they had been taught. And Itenori was no exception.

Any notions of compassion and idealism faded quickly from Itenori’s mind given that his meals depended on his success. He became a deadly shot with a crossbow, and became an adept survivalist from an early age. It was because of this training he excelled at a number of his classes at the academy. In fact, he often found he had to practise extra quickly in order to keep going. After all, he couldn’t afford to take his time there, as he had to hunt when he could. While he made for an excellent little soldier, he certainly never connected with anyone during his time speeding from lessons to hunts.
