Speaking of which, I have added a character list to the OP.

"-" Denotes a human character, and "|" means it's an Alter Ego. I will add to this list as characters are accepted. Also, I will be including new information fairly soon, hopefully.

Edit: New information added to the first post, it's just a small edit for now but, um, yeah.

Though I don't particularly want to enmesh myself in this ugly dispute, it can be noted that I too have a Western preference and outlook but I can adapt my character to better suit the theme, I'm not inflexible and I have no aggressive problem with Vita's authority, I do not see her making any unreasonable demands, and I don't care if there are similarities with existing fiction.

From a relatively neutral standpoint then I observe that Faygote and Timeshe are being unreasonably hostile and defensive. If this perception gets a reply, especially from Faygote, I can only assume that you wish to indignantly continue the conflict (you've said 'bye' or 'I'm leaving' now more than once) rather than actually stand up for yourself against somebody doing something you see as wrong.

Also, as I've stated, really your character is fine, as I'm fine with Western characters as long as they're not the majority given the setting, and his Alter Ego's personality needs to reflect his own a little bit more completely.

After that's done the character will be perfectly acceptable.

Human Bio:
Name: Kawaguchi Reo
Age: 18
Gender: Female
Appearance: "You want help with your homework, Mio?"
Personality: Reo is, by all accounts, the perfect student: unfailingly polite, works hard and on time, and on top of that highly intelligent. About the only thing to question is her lack of friends and social engagements. She's certainly never rude... but she never seems to get close to anybody. All in all, she's actually quite lonely and would love to actually be able to share her feelings with people. Instead, she just keeps to herself. She's warmer with her sister, but that's still not really close enough...
Backstory: When the old student council president moved school, halfway through the previous year, Reo was elected to take her place. Thus, a student in her sister's class falling into a coma has required her attention: even though she may not have known the girl except in passing, her position demands at least some attention.
Skills: Excellent academic ability; like her younger sister she studies hard... but unlike Mio, Reo hasn't dropped below the top ten of the national rankings for her entire career. On top of this, she's very good at finding things in a library due to a part-time job.
Alter Ego: Radiant Blossoming Apparition

Alter Ego Bio:
Name: Radiant Blossoming Apparition
Gender: Female
Appearance: Radiant Blossoming Apparition shares Reo's overall body type: tall, leggy, and with at least some figure. On the other hand... she's got much, much, much longer hair, and if it wasn't for her ability, it would be constantly trailing along the ground for over a metre. Instead, the white strands do double-duty as clothing, taking the shape of a swimsuit and generally keeping out of the way.
Personality: Much like Reo underneath her cold façade, Radiant wants to be close to people. Very close, and she doesn't handle rejection well. Given that she's also a hard worker... well, it tends to lead to dogged persistence in trying to get other people to like her, even if this means being clingy and disturbingly friendly. She doesn't take rejection well at all, though it's rather more violent than Reo's 'go eat icecream and study' response.
Weapon(s): The Spear of Learning: Also known as an enormous, green-and-gold fountain pen. It's mostly used for stabbing, and has no real exceptional abilities beside also being useful for secondary duty as the pen it is.
Abilities: Her hair? It can be controlled, and reinforced to the point it can pull duty as armour and weapon at the same time. When she's fighting, it definitely does not spend time wrapped around her body: the full enormous length unravels at once, giving her plenty of range--and something else to wield her pen in. Or stab people with. Or try and catch weapons with. It's handy, to say the least.

Alright, personality adjustment for my character who, by the way, is Australian.

Personality Ironclad is everything Gregory is not; whereas the boy is hospitable, his Alter Ego is troublesome. While Greg withstands conflict, Ironclad seeks it. Human tact and rationality is replaced by an iron will and nerves of steel. This warrior spirit is quick to pick a fight and brutal to its enemies. Additionally, Ironclad is somewhat of a bully. Even among friends' egos Ironclad can be cantankerous and unpleasant, always trying to hurt someone mentally if not physically. These traits make Ironclad seem heartless and cruel—a monster.

However, Ironclad isn't entirely a battle-craving brawler. He's also somewhat accepting deep within, and can make steadfast allies or even get along with a foe that surrendered to him. His confidence rivals his loyalty in terms of strength, and despite his intimidating appearance he can be rather humorous. When fighting without any of his weapons -which is rare- Ironclad uses a distinctive kickboxing style. Finally, he talks with an exaggerated version of Greg's own Australian accent.

I was thinking of making a guy who is very effeminate and when he is in his alter ego he became a woman, until I saw that part that they have to be of the exact same gender, is it truly, truly necessary or can I stay with this concept?

It's necessary for them to be the same gender as they are a reflection of the human self.

While there are certain ways to interpret this that would allow for your idea, I honestly feel it is very difficult to write that properly with respect for the real-life condition.

However, you could have the Alter Ego easily mistaken for being female if you so desired.

Human Bio:

Name: Migata Kano

Age: 17

Gender: Male

Appearance: Since I’m in love with Kagerou Project right now…

He is a muscular slender guy who stands at 1.63 m. He has cat like eyes and often wears a black hoodie, even above his school uniform.

Personality: He is very kind, but at the same time he jokes about everything and everyone. A complete tease who hardly takes anything seriously, he hates when things get too serious and no matter how tense the mood is, he’ll always try to lighten it up with a joke, often of sexual origin, which has also got him quite a few punches to the face. He is also quite the flirter and, while his flirting isn't to be taken seriously, he knows how to work his way down to a woman’s heart. He has little to no experience with women, though, well, not in actual sentimental relationship. Before, in middle school, he was often surrounded by women because many thought of him as cute. His social circles have become shorter after he entered high school, due to him losing his cute traits from before and being a little more of an ass than before. Now, he hangs around occasionally with someone.

He is known to have many effeminate traits, like the way he talks, stands or with his corporal language. Many think he swings the other way, but he does not, he only says that he is more in touch with his feminine self, and that is the reason to why he is so good when it comes to women, and prefers to be around them more than he prefers being around men. Many loathe him, others are jealous of him and other BOYS think he’d be rather good dating material. He has a slight complex regarding his height.

Backstory: He was born into a family who was expecting a baby girl and where his father was long gone. Even though he was born a boy, he was accepted all the same, but growing among nothing but women was harsh and took its toll on his personality, hence why he seems so effeminate at times.

His family owns a shrine and they were expecting a girl to become the next miko(priestess) of the shrine, to finally make his older sister retire, since his middle sister was unwilling to take up on such a job. Since he was born, his face, with the right haircut, looked exactly like a woman’s, so he became, well, more like was forced by his sister to become, a ‘priestess’ until he was old enough for his male traits to be too overbearing to continue deceiving the audience.

Now his life has been fairly normal.

Skills: He has a silver tongue, often talking people into doing things he wants. He is an excellent dancer, not only in classical shrine dances, but also in modern ones as well as a great singer. He is also a master actor and with the correct materials he can disguise as anything, even as a woman (Not so surprising).

Alter Ego: Scarlet Thorne

Alter Ego Bio:

Name: Scarlet Thorn

Gender: Male

Appearance: Now, a little genderbend and…

As Kano's Alter Ego, he retains his face, but with a much more female-like in appearance, not only in body, but as well in clothing. He is more slender and shorter, his hair is a little longer than the original's and his face are much more refined, more lady like. He retains his cat like eyes.

Personality: While Kano has effeminate mannerisms, Scarlet Thorn might as well be a girl. His teasing target are boys mainly, and with his androgynous appearance he often tries to trick them into doing things to him. Anyone who has been unlucky enough as to try and cop a feel from him had an ugly surprise waiting for them, and a whole ten minutes of a laughing Scarlet Thorn. His jokes are very aggressive in nature and often get him in problems. Even if he likes to tease boys he can’t stand being around them more than the time necessary to tease them a little and prefers much more the company of girls, but Scarlet Thorn is as flirty and well acquainted with women as Kano, but he always goes for keepers to try and get a girlfriend. He can't stand being called short, you do so and you get a punch to the face

Weapon(s): ‘Chains of Desire’ A pair of deep black chains he can take out of his hoodie to restrain his opponent. Nearly indestructible and with a cute reddish pink glow. Scarlet Thorn often teases others that to be able to break from them one must give in to his desires, when in reality it is just necessary to punch him and he’ll lose control of this.

‘Scarlet Gauntlets and Scarlet Knee Armour’ A pair of deep black gauntlets and knee protectors made out of reinforced metal, which also glow with a reddish pink colour. He can make spikes appear on them to make attacks more effective.

Abilities: Master of hand-to-hand combat, his fighting style makes it seem as if he were dancing. Super human speed and regenerative factor. He is also able to use his voice as a distractor, shouting (or singing) with such a loud voice anyone’s eardrums would explode, but he is limited to use this ability only 2 times in the same hour.
