Leo stood up, nose bloody and broken, body covered in bruises and marks. He'd pretended to pass out, in order to get his father's abusive movements away from him. Thankfully, it had worked, and the older man had now left the house, in order to get some booze. Swallowing, the young man shimmed down the drainpipe and out into the back yard, looking over himself. It was dark, late at night, and snowing heavily, but he knew he had to escape, knew he had to get free, get to his best friends.
And he was going to get there, he just had to hope she'd let him in.. If not her, then her parents. He could feel the small amount of energy he had in reserve pushing him onwards the closer he got to her house, and when he was just a few doors away, he ran the last little distance, raising his fist and knocking on her door for an answer.
It was only now that the fact he was stood on their doorway, 11:30pm at night, coated in blood, snow and bruises, he looked a mess. He didn't actually know if he'd be allowed inside, allowed to see his best friend.. He knew her parents well, but would they be willing to let him stay a night or two? He didn't know if they would, but even letting him dry off would be good.
The door was opened a second later by someone, and hoping no tears would fall, or that he'd end up sobbing, he spoke softly, croakily. "Hi."
So, I thought it'd be interesting to try out an RP based around Best Friends growing closer then they already are, following Leo moving in with (Your Character) after being kicked out of his home for being gay. This could work from the ages of 16-25 for the characters, and will not be romantic, nor mature.
The primary focus will be around the struggles of the two to be accepted in society, due to his sexuality and her (Whatever you want. Her sexuality, he being albino, disfigured, scarred, having a stammer, whatever). They'll face challenges, accusations, hate, fear and all manner of things throughout the RP. These can be as dark as you wish. (For example, if you wanted the female to have suffered sexual abuse, then you can. Just do not sexualise it, or see it as a bit of a laugh, as others I've role-played with have done in the past.)
The secondary focus is obviously going to be around them becoming more like siblings, as time goes on. He can either actually be adopted into her family, or they can just begin to refer to each other as "brother" and "sister".
My only requirement is that (your character) is an only child, in order to allow the sibling ship to bloom much stronger.
