Morana was decidedly disappointed. All that work was for nothing. The Assassins had simply let their compatriot hang. Oh sure, she had killed that one novitiate that was hoping to help out his brother but all the experienced Assassins had decided it wasn't worth it to rescue their brother. That was cold, quite cold. She was certainly glad she wasn't an Assassin. If she ended up getting caught by the city guards the Templars would pull some strings to get her out at the very least. Then again, the Assassin Order was a bunch of ruthless murderers bent on creating anarchy. They were completely against progress, science and just about everything that would help humanity. If it hadn't been for the Assassin's the world would already be a better place; Blasted villains!
Moving from rooftop to rooftop, Morana followed the good king home ensuring that there would be no Assassin reprisal in the form of an ambush. She had to stop when the group got to the moat. Crossing that wasn't so easy and the bridge leading towards the portcullis was a red zone, anyone not wearing castle regalia was immediately arrested and every visitor, cart or wagon moving over the bridge was searched extensively. Even she couldn't get across that bridge and she was a Templar! No, instead, she had to use a sally gate, one that was well guarded by Templar agents and sheer suicide for any Assassin foolish enough to approach it.
With the King safe, Morana withdrew, climbing back down to street level which she didn't risk getting shot at by archers. There were guards on the rooftops and they did not look well upon those moving across the clay shingles. Ordinary guards couldn't tell Templars from Assassins, both orders were fairly unknown to the common populace. That's why she had to be every bit as careful as one of those infernal assassins.
