The twins snuggled up and each one rest their head on one of Alyss's shoulders before falling fast asleep. "They haven't been able to sleep well since you've been here," Zahara said, letting Kenna sit at the foot of the bed. Alyss hugged both girls close, tears forming in her eyes. Why couldn't she remember this and who was the bastard that stole it from her?

Donovan swallowed, as the girls fell asleep. He had been trying hard to be everything they needed, but it appeared that no one could be a subsitute for a kids mother. For the first time, he really and truly considered what it would have been like if Alyss hadn't woken, if she had instead entered a living death, and he shuddered. a world without Alyss just wasn't possible.

"We should get the photo album" He said"might be helpful"

"I figured you might think of that," Zahara said, pulling one of the large photo albums out of a backpack.

"well, then, open it" Donovan said, "I always forget just how big they are"

Zahara nodded and opened it, handing the album over to Donovan so he could show Alyss the pictures.

Donovan shifted, holding the album so Alyss could see

Alyss looked through the pictures, frowning when she didn't see any for Kenna's birth until Kenna was a few months old. "Why don't we have any of Kenna's earlier pictures?" She asked, looking to Donovan.

"Because we were hiding from my mother, and then when we went back...well, she had attacked the different packs in the area, thinking we-i was hiding amoung them I guess. After being changed to a wolf, I wasn't technically her blood anymore, so she couldn't track me like that. One thing let to another, amd we now, thanks to Pakuna and Melaine, have a truce between our kinds" Donovan said, "so we didn't have a chance to take photos until everything had died down"

"Oh... Why is she so tiny here? Cally and Ceyleigh look almost twice her size even as newborns," Alyss said.

"Halfling births aren't exactly easy" Donovan said softly, "she was premature." He said

Alyss nodded and continued flipping through the album, seeing some new children occasionally. The girls were still snuggled against her when she was finished and she looked to Donovan. "Can I go home?" She asked.

Donovan looked to Pakuna who shrugged then nodded "sure" Donovan said

"I'll go and get the paperwork started," Zahara said, starting out and leaving Jordan with Pakuna.

Pakuna took Jordan's hand, "it will take a little while for the paperwork to be sorted"

Zahara walked back a while later and had a small bag with her. "I packed some clothes that should fit you before I came here," Zahara said, setting the clothes on the bed. Alyss nodded and gently moved the twins, finding it difficult to lift even one of them. Just how long had she been asleep? "Can you help me mom?" She asked and Zahara scooped up both girls.

Donovan took the photo album, putting it aside

Alyss sat up and then blushed. "C-Can you go so I can get dressed?" She asked, looking to both Donovan and Pakuna.

Donovan nodded, "I'll go take the album, and your gear to the car" Even though he didn't know where the car was, he could find it easily enough following Zahara, and the kids scents.

Pakuna headed to the door

Zahara gave Alyss a hug and then helped her get dressed, waking the girls up. A nurse then wheeled Alyss out of the hospital in a wheel chair with the twins sitting on Kenna's lap. "Alright boys, let's go and get some ice cream and pickles," Zahara said, helping Alyss into the car and buckling the kids in.

Donovan clambered into the car, buckling in.

Pakuna watched over, looking about, uneasy.
