Tell me what I need to fix. :P
Name: Alyss E. Delaeseris
Appearance: Reaching a height of about five feet and nine inches, and weighing only one-hundred and twenty-four pounds, Alyss sports a lithe and graceful form, with pale skin, outlined by Raven-black, flowing hair that reachs down to her waist. Her face holds fair, elegant features, that give her a soft, yet experienced look. Her eyes are a deep ocean-blue.
History: Alyss was quiet, eccentric, and to most, an easy target. As she grew up, the community around her cruelly pressed in on her, kids her age and older tormenting her relentlessly, and her adopted parents beating her because of their own frustrations. By the time she was nine, her parents had tried to kill her, forcing her to run away, though she did so not out of fear, but simply to survive, as her body and mind were already numb.
As more years passed, what had once been verbal torment, and quick blows became savage beatings, often times leaving her unconscious in a small pool of her own blood...She always woke up alone, because nobody bothered to help her. As it became more and more frequent, she became better and better at hiding, sleeping on roofs, or rural locations. Every time she slept, she dreamt of revenge...No longer being the prey, stepped on and kicked around....She wanted them to feel the pain of years of torment they had caused.
By the time she was fourteen, her mind was dark enough to be akin to an Abyss, though deep down, she harbored something she no longer understood...A longing to love, and be loved. A few months into her fourteenth year, she found two things she had wanted...And something she could have never dreamed of; A friend.
Alyss sat quietly, her legs dangling over the edge of the roof, and the rain pattering all around her, soaking her small frame, seeming to wash away all her worry. She looked out to the horizon, where she could see the moon rising, half-hidden by the thick overcast. She smiled as she looked at it, feeling a sense of connection and longing as she watched it's ascension. As she looked onward, her gaze unwavering, save for the occasional blink, she heard a soft splash...too heavy to be a raindrop. She whirled around, her survival instincts from a hundred beatings kicking in. She was on her feet, and away from the edge in less than a second. Her eyes went wider as they registered the sight they beheld. Three boys, all older by at least two years, and taller by atleast six inches...and all wearing sadistic grins on cruel faces.
"Hey, guys. Look who it is." the one on the right said, advancing as to grab her.
She lashed out, clawing him across the face, her sharp nails leaving crimson trails. He stumbled back, a look of surprise on his face, which quickly contorted into a mask of rage. The other two seemed to feed off his anger.
"You bitch!" The wounded one screamed. "I'm gonna' make you regret that!"
He stepped forward, launching a heavy blow, the other two stepping forward as well. Alyss easily dodged the blow, which simply seemed to anger him further. As she tried to get away, she stumbled into the other two, who had moved around her, and now held her, each of them grasping an arm in an iron-like grip, leaving Alyss as an easy target for the wounded boy.
For the next few minutes, Alyss was numb, feeling the dull thud as the boy hit her again and again....But she didn't feel any of it. And as her mind drifted past her mortal coil, in a darkness she called the Void, there was a new aura...a new being. She could feel it...and...it's sadness. But more than that, it's rage. Somehow she knew it knew what was happening to her, and she could feel it reaching out to her. Without another thought...she reached for it. Not even a moment later, emotions, feelings, thoughts, and images rushed over her...not her own. His. And then she was brought back to reality, looking down at the bloodied water at her feet. The boy had stopped, but the other two still held her firmly. All three of them were talking of something...something she had been threatened by before. She could feel the beings rage as it too seemed to here what they said. She knew what was going to happen next. She could sense his thoughts. She looked up at the boy, pity in her eyes, followed by a smile. He looked at her confused, and then angry.
"Fuckin'...I'll give you something to laugh about!" He said in a rough, angry voice.
She watched the boy as he pulled back to throw a heavy punch, grinning all the while. As he began to swing, a blur of motion passed by him, and his grin turned into a frightened, painstricken grimmace. He was missing his arm. A moment later, and he was missing his head too, which rolled to the side of the roof, at the feet of one of the other boys, who promptly screamed, and took off, only to be cut down by a whirling scythe as a tall, shadowy figure appeared, cloaked in black, one hand barely visible holding the scythe. The other boy was shaking, but still held onto Alyss, trying to push her closer to the edge.
"I-I'll throw her. I mean i-" He said, unable to finish the sentence as Alyss brought her knee up into his crotch.
As he lost his grip, stumbling back, she planted a kick into his chest, sending him over the edge. Watching him plummet, only to hit the ground with a bone crunching splatter, she felt something a-kin to pity...maybe even remorse, but in the end, it was them or her. She would have been a fool to believe they would just walk away, letting her live. She turned around, coming face-to-face with her rescuer. He was tall, and his form all but obscured by a large cloak and hood. After a moment of silence, he drew back the hood, showing a face with fair features, and eyes the same color as hers. His hair too, was similar to her own. If he was five inches shorter, and quite a bit less masculine in nature, they might perfectly resemble each-other. As she looked at him, she noticed tattoos that snaked up his neck, ending where the head was met.
"Who are you?" She asked, sincerely curious. She felt emotions she had buried long ago rising up once again in the pressence of this stranger, who seemed to be now bonded to her.
He looked as if he didn't know himself, looking down for a moment, before returning his gaze to Alyss. "I am...Your friend." He said, as if by some sudden realization.
For the first time in Alyss' waking memory, she cried, not out of fear or pain, but out of happiness, clinging to her friend in a desparate embrace. She didn't know what she was feeling...but she knew that she liked it, and she didn't want it to go away.
"My name is Raen Delaeseris Elvarasi...And I promise I will never leave you, Alyss." He whispered, returning the embrace.
It was apparent to Alyss at that moment that he too felt something, yet seemed a stranger to it, same as her...And that he too didn't want to let it go, what ever he might be...he was her friend, and that was all that mattered to her.
From that point on, she was never alone, or scared, as Raen stood by her side, the two seeming to think, act, and behave in the same way. Never did it occur to either of them to disagree with one another, or fight...It just seemed too absurd to think about. Alyss was no longer haunted by the constant threat of violence or abuse from others, and though she kept her impenetrable emotional and mental shell, that only Raen could go beyond, she found herself drawing away from the tainted darkness that had dominated her heart, finding a new kind of darkness; one embodying calm and silence.
After a few more years, jumping from place to place, traveling freely, working in whatever capacity they could, they found themselves somewhere they both didn't even think about; The Library. Soon enough, they were working in Intelligence, and soon after, as mercenaries.
Personality: Alyss is shy, and eccentric, taking to darkness more than light, and silence more than sound. She tries to shut others out, confiding in and trusting Raen alone. She rarely speaks with others, and even more rarely without a reason.
Branch: Mercenary, Intelligence
Holder: Knight
Spirit:
Name: Raen D. Elvarasi
Appearance: Standing six feet and four inches tall, Raen is very human in appearance, though lithe and graceful for a male. In many ways, he has similar features to Alyss, though more masculine, such as the color and length of his hair, and the color of his skin. Though, his eyes are of a darker shade, taking on a crimson/hazel, with a spark of silver. He typically is seen wearing a black hooded cloak that masks his entire form. When he doesn't don his shadowy shroud, he is wearing only a pair of black pants that reach down to his ankles, as well as foot and hand wraps, similarly black. His whole body, save for his face and head are covered in runic tattoos, that form around the Raven-like wings on his back, the feathers themselves etched in the strange designs. The tattoos form a dragon on his right arm, and a wolf on his left. The patterns elsewhere take on no such semblance, and seem random. So far, nobody has been able to decipher the runes.
Personality: Raen shares a similar personality as Alyss, preferring only to talk with her, ignoring other Spirits and their holders. He never wanders far from Alyss, even in combat.
Weapons/Spells:
Raevashii: A large, straight-shafted scythe sporting two blades; one on either end facing opposite directions. It is made from a dark, twisting metal, etched in runes that take on a dark blue hue.
Active - Dark Fury: Raen empowers Raevashii. Each stroke will also send out a wave of dark energy in the form of a scythe-like blade, traveling at a speed of (200%) of Raen's AGI - Four turn duration - Eight turn cooldown.
Dark Guardian: Raen's stats are passively increased by (10% - Rounded down) when defending Alyss, while also being able to instantly travel to her(Only usable when Alyss is in danger. I.E.: Being attacked, charged at, or approached by a potential threat).
Active - Aegis: Raen forms a protective shield around Alyss, negating any damage that would be done to her for that turn. Also works against mental assaults - Can last up to two turns - can only be used once per mission
Dark Synergy: Alyss and Raen Align their thoughts, emotions...their very essence', and fuse together, working in complete harmony. They share all bonuses, and all weaknesses. Raen's form becomes the protective outer shell, forming a dark, winged armour that encases Alyss' form completely while giving her complete mobility and flexibility. In this form, they are able to wield Raevashii, though the scythe forms as two smaller, single-bladed scythes of similar design. The runes on one scythe remain their normal blue, while the ones on the other radiate a deep violet - Can last up to sixteen turns. If active after six turns, effective stats will be reduced by 10% per turn. If active for sixteen turns, you will pass out. Debuff lasts four turns. - Can only be activated once
Active - Infinite Rage: Raevashii is shattered, exploding outward, followed by a massive energy blast. Damage is based on SPI and POW(POW for Shards and SPI for energy), while the speed is based on AGI - Immediately ends Dark Synergy, and reduces effective stats by 50% for four turns. If stat reduction reaches 100%, you will pass out - Can only be activated during Dark Synergy.
