The coolest fact I know (should probably say I am Ugandan) is that on my Mum's side are relations to the Royal Family of Buganda (Province in Uganda). So theoretically if I wait long enough and a lot of people die I could be King of Buganda.
Goldmarble said Father's side:
Finnish Farmers.
German Farmers.
Mother's Side:
British, not really sure what they did.
British, possibly nobles, more likely highwaymen.
Boring family is boring.

Behemian? So east german Roma? Those guys where numerous as hell.
Blitzkrieg said When my grandpa died, I inherited all his family history stuff. My last name: originally: "Töllner" was an occupational name for a collector of tolls or customs levies in the Northern Germanic dialects. Records I have seen place us a a poor noble family operating the ferry system across the Rhine. We eventually became part of Prussia and like our entire family history is littered with Prussian Military Officers.
We came to the US after the civil war and took land in Nebraska as part of the homestead act. An argument in the late 1800's resulted in the entire family moving to Oklahoma except one of the sons named "Peter", who went on his own to Wisconsin.

It's pretty likely then, since you're family seems to have been there for many generations.
Hellis said Mothers side has been here for at least 700 years according to research. Prolly more. So very likely.

Norwegians were considered Danes at the time, raiding in the west. You could have had an ancestor looting an Irish church. I may or may not have Norse blood, I doubt it though. I do know a majority of my English blood is Anglo-Saxon as is my last name. Everything is pretty jumbled up there since Britain was invaded so much. That's so cool. I wish I knew more about how far back my roots go in the different countries blood lines come from.

It's in my experience that white and red mushrooms are totally safe to eat and should be consumed at every opportunity for good luck, no questions asked.
