Asim almost had to suppress a smile as the princess lowered her voice. His father had always told him that the pony's were to soft, in body and heart. How they could never survive the harsh environment and constant threat of predators. How 'the woods would eat them alive'. It appears his father was a bit wrong. These pony's, their leaders at least, seemed to have some more iron-bark in their blood than most of the deer gave them credit for.
But alas that was not the point. He was not 'untrusting' of the Shape-changer, as the ponys or other races present may be. He was 'un-nerved' by her. As embarrassing as that would be to admit, it would take to long to explain. The Shape-Changers were...Oh what the pony phrase be...something of a 'ghost story' for them. To Asim, meeting a shape changer was more like meeting a ghost rather than 'threatening beast' or 'dangerous race'. But that would take far too long to properly communicate. He bowed his head replied "I will take this into account."
He turned his head and watched, with slight amusement at how quickly the others began warm to the unlikely reveal. "Your breed continues to surprise me Princess. I shall do my best to fallow your example." At least that was what Asim said, though he wasn't so sure he would do exactly as the princess suggested. Oh he may talk to her about the trees and such...but about being a Shaman...Telling a Ka'eela anything about his cultural position before he knew her better. Until he was sure that she was not a 'Ka'eela' as he understood them, keeping things like that would be priority.
