Its a bit heavy. I've offered two of the three cs's to a very good player I know so will wait for a response to them but if he says no then the free cs sheets are anybodies taking.

Forget I ever thought of quitting. As long as I have players who genuinely want to play (and enjoy doing so) I will never surrender!

Lets make this the best roleplay ever. Ooorah!!!

Glad to hear it Lord Pie! If it gets real bad I shall launch second wave of recruitment we did number more than 8 to start so we should be ok if we can get that flow rolling IC. I know theres more I can do to help with that and I intend to do so.

That being said I have dinner right now so will be back later. Is anyone interested in playing a second character seeing as we suddenly have a few cs's spare? As I said I am waiting for a response on john mcintyre and anna but they may well be available.

I probably wouldn’t object to running a second character (happy with any really), so will wait and see if any are taken. Also I suppose the now ‘empty’ characters can always be the first casualties of the RP if things get awful hostile with the mission.

Ok. Was gunna post this IC but I am ridiculously tired and shall be asleep soon.

Buses are heavily dependent on computers to co-ordinate their various systems, the data from which will have been wiped by The Blackout. What this means is that even if the lighting, the pneumatic suspension and the power steering systems are operational they will not activate. The vehicle would be drivable but only just (this would be true of lots of vehicles unfortunately). Due to our criminal/army friends visiting overnight it also be low on fuel, not that you need much for your current mission and a resourceful team should be able to find more.

If you wanted to make use of the vehicle long term as a sort of base of operations your team should have the skills to fix it up and even upgrade it if they're willing to put in a little time. I would defo recommend upgrading it if that is the plan however as a bus isn't exactly low profile and those things are flimsy as hell, not to mention there'd be something of an excess of chairs...

I likes buses, but I dislike them as a rolling HQ for several reasons. A few mentioned by Hail, and a few others such as the fact that they have poor handling, ill-equip speed, and obviously a size issue. That, and they are ridiculously band-wagoned as a rolling HQ in movies. XD

I think we should get something(s) smaller for long term.We could roll in a team of Smart Cars and just use solar panels all through the day and buzz around like a bunch of eco-friendly UN activists. XD

In all seriousness though, we could get one or more adequate vehicles with all the pros we need, and less of the cons the bus has with it.

Alright – well I will make the condition of the bus much clearer in my next post. If the next person to post wanted to do something about checking the fuel tanks and realising there is basically no fuel?

I figure the bus is a temporary – get out of the city easily and towards the objective. When we stop and recon the place from there we could look for another temp setup? Some nearby abandoned petrol station or something of the like? Maybe with a garage attached...?

Ok thats cool. I'm going to leave plans in terms of what to do and how up to you guys. Ultimately I had planned to just gen the environment, run the npcs and provide the plot. How you guys react to what is provided is totally up to you. I may (as I've said) make a character at some point but i feel now is not the time for introducing new characters.

Speaking of characters. The three "empty" characters are up for the taking by any of you who want to play them. It'll be more or less first come first serve who gets who although feel free to discuss it.

i'm totally down to continue, even if i dearly loved all the characters who dropped, but done is done, and who knows? we may get new members assigned to the team to shore up the losses if the gm gets tired of running all the dropped ones.

Sorry I haven't posted yet, I know I keep saying things, and giving reasons, but it is just the honest truth. My dog has been on meds, my parents were planning a trip, and then they called it off and began fighting, then they made up and planned it again, and I have been in a pit of depression for weeks now, and just ugh... I will post as soon as possible, no more then two days from now, I promise. I really promise. Even if I have ot beat my little head against the laptop and make a chicken scratch post of blood, I will have one for you.

I'm glad your happy to continue. In terms of recruitment. I want to at least complete the first mission before launching another recruitment session but I do plan to recruit more people. In the meantime the dropped characters are available for anyone to take on if desired.

i just wanna point out one little thing.
the UK has always been far from the front lines
(paraphrased) um, correct me if i'm wrong, but i doubt the IRA would agree with that point. just sayin.

Lol. A very valid point there Azariel although I think it was a different variety of front line being referred to. If we expand the definition of front line to include IRAesque activities then practically the whole world is a battlefield. That is definitely true in this setting. Corporate black ops working in the shadows, hackers hiding in the code and activists shouting in the streets. A highly combustive mix to be sure and bound to blow up soon if it hasn't already!

!!!BOOOOM!!!

In other news I am going to do a post for anna whilst the idea is fresh on my mind. It's not something that'll move plot forwards as such but I feel it would fit her character and I guess character building can be considered a plot. :)

That is very true - but I was referring really to the kind of bigger conflicts and more 'open war', killing each other in the streets and that kind of thing. I'm sure Syrians, Libyans, Serbians ect would agree with my statement when compared to 'the troubles' with Ireland and what not :p (and further, the inhabitants of countries who have been corporately taken over in the RPs history).

Though I suppose considering it's a giant lawless blackout type thing (as far as we are aware do far), that it wasn't particularly appropriate to refer to it as a 'frontline' situation.

Edit - ah yeah, what Hail said ^ =p
