Plus my character's passive magic disruption may cause more than one major problem.

Nah he usually goes easy on us the first couple missions.

They were usually in an epic battle, one legion supporting the Lich's husband and wishing to be released, the other supporting the Lich and wishing to live again. Really, they were trapped in the cave, some people would come and become trapped too, but *shrugs*

The cavern was in a state of perpetual civil war between Maurie and her Husband Florence. Maurie was hoping to one day revive the Imperium, while Florence had resigned to their fate of being doomed to the caverns and sought death to end it. With the aid of Kouri's group Florence was defeated and the Imperium reborn. Also: Dean got a sick hammer.

Edit: Again. watch for Kad.

Would it be possible to get a sampling of what the combat and magic looks like? I'm not exactly an experienced RPer, so it'd be good if I could get an idea~

Coupla other questions:

1) What's the speed of these RPs like? How often will we have the opportunity to post?
2) How will the missions be organized? How many players on a mission? And, will each mission have a separate thread?

Sometimes.

I almost had a character die from random rolls when a bunch of mining explosives we were unaware of went off without warning. *shrugs* Sometimes the dice are crappy, I lucked out, just barely, though.

Bluntly Athos?

Both.

Player actions, direct or otherwise, will definitely have an effect, such as when I had a Goblin of mine jump from an exploding keep with a dead body as his landing platform. He died. Thoroughly.

And then there are the rarer occasions when someone dies simply because the dice picks them out of a pool of victims :p and then puts them back in the pool and holds their head under the surface with a smile.
