Introduction
Welcome to the PJO: New Heroes OOC, we are an AU existing outside of the current canon. While we do have specific story arcs, much of the fate and history of this RP will be based on the choices of you, the players. We hope you will find your stay an enjoyable one. We welcome anybody who is interested in joining our little party here. Any questions about the RP can be asked here in the OOC or else sent to a GM through PM. We look forward to rp'ing with all of you.
Rules
1. Don't be a jerk. Criticism is fine; swearing and other forms of offensiveness is not.
1a. People aren't going to like each other, that is natural. Bullying is not natural, and certainly not allowed. You have up to 2 responses each to each other when an argument is starting before you have to take the argument to PM. Should it escalate, be the better person and step away. If the other person doesn't seem to realize it's an argument, don't act like it's not one, tell them in PM that you feel it is. Otherwise, ask a GM to step in and sort things out.
2. If you don't agree with someone or something, go ahead and tell them. Keep it civil and polite, then they won't be upset (If they read rules 1. and 1a.). They might even appreciate the criticism. If you can't agree on a topic, then get a GM involved to sort things out. GM's have the last word. If you can't agree with the decision then take it to PM, taking up pages with arguments will NOT be tolerated.
3. Start out with a child of the Greek or Roman Gods, you will be unclaimed and new to camp at first. Do not spam the thread (or a GM) asking if you can start with a Child of a Primordial, Giant, or Titan. Further characters and what level they can be at will be decided by the GM(s) based off your activity and performance.
4. Keep the characters at some level of logic. Meaning; I do not want to see every child of Ares or Mars running around with shape-shifting powers because 'Frank Zhang had it!'. Keep your abilities relative to your Godly Parent. Also keep in mind that a new camper will not know much about using their powers, thus not being terribly strong in them or knowing unique ways to use them.
4a. You will have to train to get better at something be it; Swordplay, Powers, Fighting in general. You don't just go to sleep one day, then wake up the next with unimaginable powers. Use logic here.
5. Keep in mind that once you join, every character is property of you and the rp. Meaning if you get Kicked, Banned, Leave, or just up and disappear then your character belongs to the GM(s). Not that we particularly want your character... but we need to keep things moving and avoid the RP dying because you disappear. You're more than welcome to pick them back up if you come back (and they're not dead. Also only if you're allowed back.)
6. Multiple characters/NPC creation is allowed, but only if the GM(s) think you can handle Multiple characters/NPCs. (See rule 3 for an idea of what we will be looking at).
7. The focus of this RP will be on the story, character development, and fun. Meaning that we are not focused on Killing, Raping, or else murdering other people. Therefore, permission must be obtained from the person controlling a character to kill their character. The other way around is to ask the Head GM to agree to the action to kill said character.
8. Keep it PG-17 here. Meaning not too much gore and keep those adult themes to a minimum. Your private stuff... fade to black here. If you want to continue, then take it to PM.
9. Respect your GM's, we are trying to keep everything fun for all of you. Even if you don't like us, please be respectful. Disrespectful people towards the GMs (i.e. being openly rude, ignoring their ruling, etc.) will be shown no mercy. Same can be said if you are found to be rude towards your fellow RP'ers.
10. Please don't go off and do something rash without first asking a GM. Such as running away and becoming evil, otherwise you might cause that character's death very quickly. Something that we would all wish to avoid, no? If you want to do something major/make an enemy, go message the head GM. He can and will be happy to help him, just know that it may be a while before you get to start being a big baddie.
Timeline to Date
Current Year= 2015
It has been many years since the world last saw conflict, an era of peace that has yet to be witnessed has settled. Advancements are made everyday, people are happy, and everything seems to be fine and dandy for the mortal world.
The same can not be said for the descendents of the Gods. The Demigods of Camp Half-Blood and Camp Jupiter have long since been waging a war in the shadows. Destroying the monsters that make things go bump in the night. However, thanks to the cooperation between camps, this war has remained in the shadows. Keeping the mortal world safe from perils that had preceeded the era of peace.
However, things are stirring in this world of ours. Change rides on the wind for this era of peace. Leaving only one question:
Where will you be when change comes knocking.
Character Creation
This section is here to make it plain what is considered OP, what is expected of a first character, and toss in some additional information.
Your character will be considered OP if...
1. You start off with a full-range of powers and abilities.
2. You use powers outside of your Parent's sphere of influence without a good reason, and GM permission.
3. You start using 'autohit' abilities.
4. You start off as a 'Master Swordsman' or whatever without good reasoning and GM permission. Sorry, you're not Percy Jackson. You're going to have to train IC-wise to be able to defeat some of the veterans. (That being said, if your character grew up taking Kenjutsu/Swordplay lessons. I can allow them to be pretty good at it.)
5. You already know all about your parents and your abilities when you first arrive. Because you won't.
First Character...
1. You're new to camp. You just arrived and don't know your parents or anything about your abilities. You're unclaimed. This is here to ensure somebody doesn't show up and try to kill us all with their amazing abilities. Its to keep it fun, as I don't know many of you yet.
2. You can't use your powers for obvious reasons, not knowing about them and whatnot. You'll learn at camp, don't worry.
3. The powers you do learn at first will be weak, hard to use, and nothing fancy. You're learning the basics at this point, so its not like you're immdiately going to start whipping hurricanes out of your ass. That being said, the more you train at camp the more you learn to do with them. This will be reflected in your CS, do not have all your powers in your CS at first. Merely have the basics there, then you will learn new stuff. You don't have to update the CS each time you learn a new skill, but please do. It will be much, much appreciated.
4. Weapons are handed out at camp. You do not enter with them without a good, GM-Approved reason.
5. Keep it logical for a newbie. Don't want to see any supermen coming into camp, or I will bust out the Kyrptonite.
6. We leave it up to you on how your character learns about camp and arrives. Be it from a Satyr picking you up to you being chased in by monsters, up to you. That being said, if you wish to be brought in by another Demigod, please message a GM and state such intentions. We will see what can be arranged. Yes, this leaves some room for your character to learn a thing or two about the camp and being a Demi-God. Though not too much, as you are still unclaimed.
6a. Romans, unfortunately, don't have this much creativity. As remember, Romans go to the Wolf House where they are tested by Lupa before being sent to Camp Jupiter. So your entrance to camp is kind of locked in there. Though if you are chased by monsters or have peaceful journey is up to you.
Other...
1. Multiple characters/making NPCs is allowed. You are allowed to have one Roman and one Greek from the start. After that, GM(s) will decide if you are granted me characters based off activity and performance. Feel free to try for it though, and if you're denied then please just shoot a message to a GM and politely ask why. We will explain our reasoning and help you out. If there is an issue with the reason, as opposed to arguing and starting something, message the Head GM who will go and make a final call.
2. Your first character must be the child of a Roman or Greek God, after that you can make children of Titans. Though remember, we can and will deny you that character if we think you can't handle it. Other mythologies may be included later on, and I will make it known if and when they are.
3. For your skills and abilities, you are not good and great at everything. You will be average at somethings at first, and even bad at some. Be sure to note the negative traits as well as the good.
4. When making an NPC, just note its an NPC in the post that has the CS, but otherwise fill out the character sheet. Makes it easy to know who the NPC and whatnot. Organizational things like that.

A little thing we have decided to do is have a skype chat for the RP. Just a thing were we can all get to know each other a bit better, and just have fun. You will be able to join once your character has been accepted. If you're interested in joining, the message jason.aronson4 (Me), rusty_lloyd (Rusty), or mickymou53 (Expllo) to be added.
