Fio Mal-Rai
"Got it, Lancer!"
With that, Fio was off. The streets weren't entirely empty, given that the town was large enough to have some kind of nightlife. But it was sparse enough that battlefields would have to be chosen wisely, while at the same time being populated sufficiently that it would be hard to simply assault someone on the streets. Excellent. If this pattern continued, Fio certainly had an advantage in terms of getting the drop on people.
As she walked, however, something caught her eye, her senses as a magus immediately tuning to one point. It was hard not to notice, really... it felt like some sort of... oppressive sensation, coating her very being to the core like clinging slime. Needless to say, it was unpleasant. Tracing the feeling back to its source, Fio's eyes fell onto an empty alleyway. Frowning, she approached.
"Lancer, keep an eye out. There's something strange here," she said, glancing back over her shoulder. As she approached the source of that clinging oppression, it only grew stronger. A non-magus might even have collapsed at this point. Some weak magi may have as well. Luckily for Fio, she was made of sterner stuff then that.
And there it was.
A magic sigil, sickly green, emblazoned on the wall. Something like this, already? She'd barely had to look, this was brazen! And yet... it looked difficult to analyze. Something about it made her mind... swim trying to trace patterns. Hmph. Still, she was a Magus Hunter. Something like this shouldn't be any challenge for her!
Saber
For a few moments, Saber was silent. Yes, indeed... the secrecy of the war was absolutely necessary. But... if it could be maintained with the slaying of innocents, wasn't that something to strive for? Of course, sometimes death was necessary. But if they could avoid its necessity, then they would not have to kill innocent people who were simply caught in the middle of something they did not understand. Certainly, this seemed the best course of action to the dark-haired girl. After her contemplation, she looked back up towards her Master.
"... Very well, Einzbern-sama," she began, "I will endeavor to ensure no innocent lives must be destroyed to keep our actions a secret."
After a moment's pause, she considered the next course of action.
"... What is our next move, Einzbern-sama?"
