Not going t be able to get a post up today, Mother's Day and all that. Quick question though, does Third Eye only work on other Super abilities or will it work on mundane skills (I.e. Languages, Carpentry, being amazing at Mortal Kombat...).

I presume that the limitation is that you can only mimic one skill at a time? So if Gareth is in a tussle and decides he wants to copy his foes ability, he'd forget all the Mortal Kombat combos?

I'm going to say that only super abilities can be copied and when he copies them, he won't be perfect at them. You can sort of imagine it like getting a new super power every time you want but suddenly not knowing what the hell you're doing with them. His body will know what it's doing, but he, himself, won't. Sort of like a child who doesn't know his own strength. Though it won't be like that every time. Let's say he really likes Soleil's Sound ability and like to copy that from her, after a while he could be pretty adept at her skills (he could never reach the same full potential that Soleil will be able, but he could be decent at all of things).

Does that make sense? (Not just talking to Nev here. Feel free to call me out on bullshit or something.)

Well speaking as the guy who made the power. The limitation comes more in the amount of analysis required. The eyes are designed to analyze things, the power copying is just a useful side bonus in a sense. Theoretically you could do a perfect copy, but it'd take a while to analyze and process the information to know how to do it. And yeah you can only copy one power at a time. Plus it's not like you can just analyze the user, you have to actually see the power in action and observe it for a little bit of time, getting hit would obviously speed up that process but then you would have to get hit with the power.

Let me know if I'm not being clear on something though.

Oh most definitely, it analyzes structures and things it deems "supernatural." Normal physical abilities wouldn't be able to be analyzed.

Just feel like I should mention, with the way I envisioned the power you'd have to actively be scanning with the eyes to actually mimic a power. It wouldn't really make sense to be able to analyze a memory unless you had photographic memory, the only analysis has to be done at the time you see the power in action.
