Just an idea, but..

We could loot an ancient tomb or something.. Aelin would surely like a new instrument. Like. An enchanted harp. Or a flute.

If you wish. Don't go too far in front of us, you don't want an elephant-size bear attacking you in the woods, there's no way you can kill it alone because it's not a simple animal of huge size. Also, it won't venture into the oasis we are in, because it's a magical place in a way.
So you'll have to go up the hills to spot even the tracks of it.

I think I know a way for us to kill it, but it won't be all sword and ax hack-a-thon, there will be team work and magic involved. It's gonna include something from the dungeon we're going to enter.

Also, you might make others suspicious because you're leaving on your own. But that's up to others.
