1. Katherin has to have hope , right ? Alexandra is just trying to give her that.

2. Money can do a lot of stuff to people's perceptions of what's strange.

2. Even if Alexandra paid a whole town she would still be trapped in that town and be at risk of being arrestep every time there was someone from out of town in the area.

Sure. That's true but it's better than being in a prison.
