Name: Christopher Caldarella Garland

Appearance: Christopher has a heart-shaped face with a defined and slighty pointed chin. He has deep-set blue-green eyes, spaced evenly apart and fair eyebrows arched nicely following the curved shape of his eyes. His nose is small and round while his closed mouth stretches wide and thin. His hair, naturally dark in color- is slicked backwards giving away a wide forehead with a prominent widow's peak.

Clothing: Christopher owns and normally wears a Black fedora, a couple of white shirts, one black overcoat, dark blue jeans and two sets of dress shoes.
Possessions: He possesses a Rolex watch and a new, black 1951 Cadillac.

Personality: Christopher is a risk-taker as he doesn't shy away from a challenge. In line with being a risk-taker, Christopher is a very competetive person. He is trusting, honest and loyal towards his closest friends. He is a bit sensisitive emotionally and can break down easily.

History: Christopher Caldarella Garland, born only eight years before the Second World War, was raised in an American household in Chicago. His father, James Garland and his mother, Susan Caldarella. His only sibling, born at the roughly the same time as him was his brother, Ronald Caldarella Garland. Christopher and Ronald both did excellent at school, getting great grades and having a good social life. When they were about eleven, both their parents got killed in a serious car accident and had to be taken care of a guardian from the family. Christopher became seriously depressed and his social and school life took a dive after the accident, but his brother, Ronald, kept an eye on him.

When they were about twenty-one, Ronald had been able to graduate from school years prior and get himself a job as a Lawyer in a local law firm. However, Christopher and the events of his parent's death, made him resort to a life of crime. Though not a big time criminal, he mainly stole things and took some small time jobs which paid well, well enough not needing to land a proper job. He decided to move away from his life in Chicago and moved to Cape Freedom to a small flat, but he does keep in touch with his brother.

Lei Feng

Name: Lei Feng "Suicide" Wang
Age: 27
Gender: Male
Appearance: Suicide stands at 5'10", a remarkable height for both his time and circumstance. His lithe, muscular build is often obscured by his thick trench coat. His hair is actually worn in a tight up bun, and is a shiny black. His skin is dusky, but littered with milky scars that crisscross his entire body. His eyes are a flat brown and slanted, with a clean shaven face. When on the job, he wears a bandanna and tinted goggles.

Clothing: Trousers, suspenders, tan trench coat, holsters, dress shirt.
Possessions: A miaodao, assortment of knives, a Browning Hi-Power, tea leaves, tea pot/boiler
Current Wealth: $15 ($150.33 adjusted for inflation)

Personality: One gets a glimpse into Lei Feng's personality when they hear his nickname of "Suicide". Suicide is an absolutely broken individual who has lost all sense of morality and only lives to fight and kill. He sees fighting as a means to test and reaffirm the fragility of human life. He has lost all faith in authority and his fellow man, and believes that the only remotely trustworthy person in life is oneself. He is also extremely dangerous, changing moods at the drop of a coin or a the littlest of things. He is also prone to singing patriotic songs while fights, like Guerilla's Song or The Sword March

History: A veteran of the Second Sino-Japanese War and the Chinese Civil War, Lei Feng has been fighting since the age of thirteen against the Japanese, and then his fellow countrymen. He served with distinction during World War 2 as part of a suicide squad in the National Revolution Army, surviving missions he had no right to survive in the first place. The toll of fighting and the constant loss of friends and allies broke Lei Feng's psyche, leaving him little more than a raving murder machine. He was so effective that he was on of the first to be given guns when supplies came in from the Allied powers.

After WW 2 ended, he was given some help from doctors and was beginning to recover when the Chinese Civil War began anew and he was thrown once more into the fighting. Deciding that it wasn't worth dying for the Kuomintang nor serve the People's Republic, Lei Fang smuggled himself over to America, teaching himself English on the trip.

Once he arrived, it took him a few months to reach Cape Freedom, walking and stealing vehicles to make the trip. Once he arrived he began making a name for himself among the fighting rings of Cape Freedom. This was were he received his nickname, from his wild, reckless, and suicidal fighting style. His fortunes truly began to change when he caught the eye of an ambitious small time family member, and hired to take out a rival. He now offers his services to the highest bidder, but his loyalty is as stable as the full moon is constant.

Alexandra

Name: Alexandra Ivanov

Age: 24

Gender: Female

Appearance: Alexandra is tall and slim, measuring 5'8 and weighing 130 lbs. She has light-brown hair and blue eyes. Unbeknownst to many, she has a scar running from the center of her back down to just above her left hipbone.

Visual Description

Clothing: Typically, Alexandra can be seen wearing a form-fitting dress which ends just around knee level. She also wears nice shoes and gloves to finish off the look.

Possessions: A small enamel brass dagger with orange, green, and maroon decorative figures on the handle and sheath.

Personality: Alexandra is a bit of a hot head. Due to some past traumatic experience, she developed what in the future would be known as Adjustment Disorder and her mood shifts rather quickly, sometimes leading her to blow various situations out of proportion. She is impatient and often blames everyone but herself for whatever misfortune comes her way.

On the flip side, she is for the most part a rational and fair individual and will always favor whatever side she believes is right, despite of personal differences.

History: Alexandra was born into a family who wasn't the wealthiest around town, but they surely weren't the poorest. She's the youngest of three siblings, and it's a given that her two older brothers have always been overprotective of her growing up. Their father, Nikolai, started a small business which over time took off and expanded to something beyond what he had imagined. Naturally, with such an escalation in popularity, Nikolai made some enemies. Unfortunately, it was Alexandra that suffered the most as she was the one kidnapped at the tender age of 14. There was 5 to 6 months of torture, isolation, and other cruelties practiced against her before she was finally rescued. This event led the family move out of Moscow, where they were all originally from, and it was some time later when they finally found themselves in the United States.

Unfortunately, starting over in a new land wasn't easy for anyone. Instead of living a peaceful life like they had hoped, business for the family on this side of the world was filled with nothing but murder and theft. Nikolai and his two eldest were involved with the Slavs from early on in the game. Alexandra, of course, continued school and fully mastered English in no time, although she still had her distinctive accent. A few years later, there was a meeting that quickly turned into a disaster. Nikolai and Andrei, the middle child, were both killed. This left Alexandra, Viktor, and their mother Valeria to fend for themselves. It was during this desperate few weeks that Viktor took it upon himself to take Alexandra along with him to one of the meetings. Even though she was hesitant at first, Alexandra agreed to a trial period to see how she would adjust. Much to her delight, and her mother's dismay, she loved it. From that moment forward, she's been following her late father and brother's footsteps and hasn't looked back since.

Sardines

Name: Cesare "Sardines" Pirone
Age: 31 (DOB February 2, 1920)
Gender: Male
Appearance: Pirone is a thin and poorly dressed man with a bad haircut. Rather than having the stereotypical olive complexion, he is instead pale-skinned and fair-haired. His features are thin and delicate, and his hands are especially long and thin.

Clothing: Pirone wears a cheap and flimsy brown suit, about ten years out of fashion, as well as a flat cap.
Possessions: Pirone owns very little- a change of clothes, a cheap watch, and his pride and joy, an Astra 900 pistol that he carries on him at all times.
Current Wealth: Pirone carries one $10 bill ($94 in 2016), which is literally all the money he has in the world.

Personality: Sardines is an embittered and disillusioned man. He feels that he has been taken advantage of and that life owes him something. As a result he is cynical and mistrusting- no one is going to play him for a chump again. Pirone wants to make it big in life and get what he thinks he is owed, he will not hesitate to use violence to achieve his goals.

History: They say you never get over your first love or your first betrayal. In the case of Cesare Pirone, they were both the same person: Benito Mussolini.

There was never a time in his childhood in Palermo when the name was not uttered. Cesare's father Lorenzo was one of the thousands of disgruntled WWI veterans who supported Mussolini's rise to power- some of Cesare's earliest memories are of his father strutting about the house in his brand new black shirt. From an early age, Cesare was taught to revere and adore Il Duce, that the man in Rome would take care of them and lead Italy to a bright future. Youthful and innocent, Cesare believed it all. On his 18th birthday, determined to do his patriotic duty, Cesare Pirone enlisted in the Blackshirt militia.

He was with the 1st Blackshirt "23rd of March" Division when the war broke out and took part in the Italian invasion of Egypt. While historians would call the battle "inconclusive", the 20-year-old found it all to be a grand adventure, fighting against the British in the name of Il Duce. His enthusiasm was diminished somehwat when the British and Australians regrouped and started hitting back, hard. Then came Bardia. In just a few days from January 3rd to the 5th, Pirone watched as the Australians cracked into their "impenetrable" fortress, swept aside their "unbeatable" troops, and completely destroyed his "eternal" division. Cesare Pirone was among the thousands of Italian soldiers taken prisoner and sent to POW camps in Australia.

Behind the wire at Loveday Camp in the flatlands of South Australia, Pirone had four long years to think. Slowly, he came out of denial and began to understand that Mussolini, the man he had once adored and worshiped, had fooled an entire nation into giving him power and wealth, solely for his own benefit. Pirone came to realize he had been the biggest fool of all, throwing away his youth and vitality on a power-hungry despot. Privately, he resolved never to allow himself to put into that same situation, to instead be the one on top.

Time as a POW left a profound effect on him, and it was a thinner, wiser, and far more bitter man who was repatriated back to Italy in 1945. Upon return to his homeland, he discovered that both of his parents had been killed in the 1943 Allied bombings of Palermo. With nowhere to go, he scraped together enough money to get on a steamer to Spain, and lived there from 1945-1950, doing various odd jobs and migrant work, still dreaming of bigger things. One night, at the end of the olive harvest and with plenty of pesetas in his pocket, Cesare purchased an Astra pistol from a pawnshop. To this day, he is not sure what he intended to do with it that night, but he remembers a quote by Mao- "Power grows from the barrel of a gun." And so he keeps the pistol near, dreaming of the day when he will use it to become wealthy and respected.

After five years, it was becoming clear that Spain was not the place to become somebody, and Franco reminded him too much of Mussolini and the bitter disappointments there. Technically not a legal citizen of Spain, it was simple for Pirone to board another ship, this one bound for America, the land of opportunity.

Arriving in Cape Freedom required almost all of his money. Living in a cheap hovel, Pirone can only afford cans of sardines to eat, which earned him the nickname "Sardines" from his neighbors. And so, cleaning his gun and opening another can of smoked fish, Sardines Pirone bides his time, waiting and dreaming for his opportunity to become someone, to never be used again. . .
