[OOC] Fire and Ice: The Ghoul Wars

Found you~ ^.^ Don't think I got the ping, or maybe I deleted it somehow, but here I am. ^.^ Sooo~ Amune, Jareth, and maybe some others, eventually. But gonna start with those two. Jareth doesn't know he has magic, though he knows he's rather lucky (and yeah, it is slightly magical, but it's not any sort of offensive ability).

Anyhow, ghouls are now known, though it's recent. What about magic in general? That's still underground, right, for the most part? I have a loose community. I need to flesh out Amune's background a little more, I think, but her base is the same for this one.

We do need to figure out why Amune is asked to join. Either she and Jareth are caught in an attack, like last time, or she's sought out or whatever...hm. Maybe Nunque saw her, so they send someone to fetch her? Iunno.

@shylarah yeah we can stick with that. The world isn't really a war zone by any means. You can use Fairhaven unit too, with all its magical glory, but it's students and staff likely won't take the stage in this.

@TheMinorFall Hm, maybe. I don't think there's quite so much of an organized mage guild, in this setting. You might have some of the chars show up, but I don't think the school is designed for people with magic. Doesn't mean I won't use the buildings, though.

I guess knowledge of ghouls is fairly new -- and not everyone knows yet, or believes it. Amune thinks it's probably true, but hasn't encountered actual proof. Man, that's going to make a mess of things, since they need to eat and they can only eat human meat...the political and ethical ramifications are complicated. I assume they are pretty rare, though.

Actually, on rereading this, the setting is /very/ close to the anime, and ghouls are widely known by now. I'm a little uncomfortable with fandom done directly. I don't mind characters used so much, but I do prefer the world to be just using elements, instead of copied. So the ghoul history -- the CCG, the Centipede, etc -- that wouldn't really fit. Also the introduction seems to focus primarily on ghouls, and that's not what my impression was of the world. I mean, we can leave it and just go forward, but my preference is ghouls only recently discovered, or known only by those with connections to ghouls, magic, demons, etc. I suppose I can work with it if that's what you really want. *rolls over and over* I'd just have to rework histories and mindsets to match.
