Mine is too direct, and I have trouble with how to approach dialogue, so I just mimic other peoples' formats.

@Jedly is a good reminder that I need to start reading as much as I did as a kid. That'd be a hell of a benefit to my writing.

I am having so much Nostalgia right now. my very first guy had white hair, used a katana, and I wanted Air to be his element, but I got Water instead. I think I named him something generic like Alex Wolf. That was 8 years ago... Damn I'm old. Anyways, Totally gonna join, working on CS tonight.

That's one of my problems too. It bothers me that I only have a tiny handful of words for any given thing. It feels very restricting.

@Azereiah yeah, I feel you. I usually carry around a thesaurus for those moments, but I always have this fear in my writing that I'm going the Tolkien way and describing way too much till I do a bare minimum. I'm bringing my A game for this or though.

@KuramaaaZWell, thankfully RPs provide writers with the chance to refine their skills, but also experience how other people format and utilize their style.

@AzereiahYeah, been reading a lot more recently. Might chalk up a reason as all of the free time I have now that it's summer, but personal interest and a lack of choice in genres is also there. As @Inertia said, synonyms are suuuuuuuper useful.

Just an update; there will be a minor timeskip to the following day, near the end of classes, which will still give way to lunch.
It will be a short day as anothre skip will occur but this time for a month. After said skip... There will be a combat test for all first year students, followed by a 'necessary evil' they will partake.
