Brent Ignia and Lily Meadows
[Route 701]@Ninian @Light LordLily kind of felt crowded now, suddenly she was the center of attention.
"Really, I'm fine, don't worry..." She said, then heard the others talk about Telepathy.
"Telepathy... I've heard of that before too... it's really rare for a Pokemon to be able to use that though..." She thought as she remembered some of the lessons her mother had taught her after Trainers School every day.
Brent continued to look at his PokeGear, partially to keep track of time, partially to keep his mind at ease on something.
"4:53, we're making some good time at least. We should reach the Pokemon Center soon!" He said, looking to everyone.
"Time really seems to fly by here in Viore, you gotta make every minute count. At least that's what my dad says." He finished.
They kept walking for a bit, neither saying a word. It was peaceful out, nothing but the bird Pokemon chirping and the breeze blowing. Then, in an instant, that silence was shattered by a loud crack from the woods next to them.
"Okay... I heard that... but what was that?" Said Brent, looking into the forest with Lily. A small form was racing between the trees, chased closely behind by some kind of large bat-like creature. It finally burst from the treeline, turning in midair in front of them to face its follower, firing off an Energy Ball at its attacker, causing it to fall to the ground out of sight.
"What Pokemon is that?" Asked Lily, holding up the Pokedex.
"Shaymin, the Gratitude Pokemon. It can dissolve toxins in the air to instantly transform ruined land into a lush field of flowers. In Viore, it is considered one of ten sacred Legendary Pokemon." It replied. The Shaymin before them seemed beat up, with scrapes, bruises, and maybe even burn marks covering it. It seemed exhausted as well.
"They're after me... I can't let them catch me..."Once more Lily heard the words in her head. She looked now to the Shaymin before her, was it her the messages had come from? She was about to ask it when suddenly some sort of fiery attack burst from the treeline, slamming into the Shaymin. In a small explosion and dust cloud in the aftermath, the Shaymin almost fell to the ground, only to be caught by Lily, who was now on her knees with the small Pokemon in her lap.
The dust settled, and soon the assailants came into view. Two Dragon Type Pokemon, a Haxorus and a Dragalge. The thing that Shaymin had shot down before now re-emerged from the underbrush, revealed to be a Crobat. To top it all off, two people entered behind the Pokemon, each dressed in what could only be described as Knight Armor, but with high tech military equipment such as goggles, earpieces, and tactical boots.
"We've finally got it cornered, took us long enough..." Said one, obviously male with a strong, commanding voice.
"Yeah, but now we've got a bunch of kids to deal with... Leader won't like that." Said the other, quite distinguishably Female. The Male looked at the group.
"Look here, kids. Hand over the Shaymin and you won't be in a world of hurt. You have no clue who you'd be dealing with should you resist."Lily stood up now, holding the injured Shaymin in her arms. It was shaking, eyes closed. It was clear they had evil intent with this Pokemon.
"No... no way! I won't let people like you hurt such an innocent Pokemon!" Chikorita stood up in front of her trainer.
<I may not be strong, but I'll still protect Lily from you!> She growled.
"Well, if Lily says no, so do I!" Said Brent, standing alongside her. His Cyndaquil ignited its flame.
<Come at me, I'll tear you a new one or two!>The two armored individuals looked at each other, then looked forward again.
"Your choice, kid. Dragalge! Crobat, get ready." She commanded.
"Haxorus, no mercy." He ordered.
Brooks
[Route 701]He finally made his way back to the main path of Route 701, looking around frantically.
"Where, where are they?!" He said, looking back and forth. A loud crash in the distance caught his attention, it was a good ways away, but his Noivern was overhead circling.
"Alright, let's hurry partner!" He said, his Feraligatr keeping pace with him as they ran.
