@Uccello Gets it, Zoaroark talking in human form is canon, and I like the fact we got one (gonna like it even more when it's revealed he's a zoroark. People gonna freak). As long as a regular guy doesn't start talking to every pokemon they meet, I can hang with this.

I think "can talk to the dragonite line" is well within pokemon weirdness levels. But then, I'm very "roll with the punches" in terms of rps so maybe my standards are weird?

@Ninian Yeah nah, I've always gone with animal noises. Actually never been in a situation where one of my trainers has been in a position to talk to a non legendary Pokemon. So I guess I don't really know how I'd handle something like Alakazam or Metagross

For all the other characters (sans Celes), I made sure there were lore reasons for the whole talking to humans thing. Celes was initially a joke character in another RP (the only sort-of canon I can even site is that Kangaskhan Kid from that old Indigo episode, or maybe N?), so I made it more as a WTF gimmick than really anything.

If it makes you feel better, she was so young when she was found that she adapted to understanding Dragonites since she was around them, and only them. Really though, Celes talks to Dragonites because she's Celes.

Fair enough! I think the Pokedex says Metagross is pretty much literally a computer so you could probably hook him up to something... at the very least. Or, you know, telepathy for both of them. I'm sure it's possible.

Either way, I'd actually be very surprised if any of that happened in this RP. o-o

I would like to point out that many trainers can "understand" most if not all Pokemon. Most (good) gym leaders and trainers can understand there own at the very least, and any with enough experience can understand the basics of what any Pokemon is saying.

@Uccello I've always felt like all psychic types, especially the evolved ones, have a capacity to telepathically communicate with people. At least, that's what the anime always made me feel.

Anyway, kinda not sure if I should post again. I don't really know which one to have Amber interact with. She's kinda in the Pokemon Center at New Amber being an idiot with how to handle her Snivy, in case anyone wants to head down at the center as well and help out a poor soul.
