Arthur Pendragon

Character Image Goes Here - Not applicable at this time

Age: 10
Eye Color: Blue
Hair Color: Blond
Height: 4'2”
Weight: 70 lbs.
Physique: Scrawny and almost sickly looking
Complexion: Caucasian
Immunities:
Weaknesses: He is not quick to anger, but when Arthur is angry he can be blinded by his rage. Not listening to reason or logic until he feels he has gotten his revenge

Titles & Feats: None

Basic Personality: Arthur is a bit cocky and has grandiose visions of what his future will be like when he isn't a slave anymore (he's also an optimist, can you tell?) He has learned to hide this though, as he's been punished in the past for acting out of line.

Psychological/Social Issues: Arthur was betrayed in his last life. That betrayal lingers and makes it hard for him to fully trust anyone.

Appearance: Arthur is a small, unassuming boy. His head is shaved and he wears very similar clothes to all the other children, no one would ever expect anything from him. When away from his watchers he often has a grin on his face, thinking of life when he is no longer a slave.

Natural Abilities:

Swordplay - Arthur is fairly handy with a sword, but he does not display this skill in public. He wouldn't want to be one of those poor children in the arena. Arthur doubts his ability to kill one of his fellow child slaves.

Evasion - Arthur doesn't like fighting if he doesn't have to. He can usually avoid a blow if he sees it coming. This doesn't work if he doesn't see it coming or an opponent is tricky and attacks from two places at once.

Power:

Teleportation - Arthur can teleport short distances, it works better if he can see his destination.

Companion: None

Relations: Merlin

Maximum age is 12. So she needs to be 12.

"Arcane Arts" is not a specific enough power set. You need to be specific about the spells that she can cast. At this time, seeing as they are kids who don't really remember their past life, they wouldn't remember much about their powers either. She will have one spell at this time. When the Great Time Skip occurs later, the characters will be much older and therefore, the relationship building that they do now is crucial for events in the future. Say, if they choose to reunite later. They may not even recognize each other all that much because last they remember is that they were all bald prepubescent kids lol. But yes, by then, they should have more powers/spells unlocked.

Edit: I added both Merlin and Arthur to taken characters.

Edit2: Updated Ruler of Vanor and Vanor Motto.

For some reason I didn't double check and assumed it was 7~14 age range. But it's been corrected.

As for the Power, let's start off with Merlin's iconic shapeshifting, albeit toned down quite a few steps.

Hope this is good enough.

Edgar Allen Poe

Character Image Goes Here - Not applicable at this time

Age: 12
Eye Color: Dark Brown
Hair Color: Shaved bald.
Height: 4'10"
Weight: 90lb
Physique: Edgar is a skinny, gaunt child, with weedy limbs and clearly defined ribs.
Complexion: His skin is pale and his face is sallow, almost giving the impression of ill health.
Immunities: None to speak of.
Weaknesses: Edgar is insatiably curious, particularly with regards to mysteries or puzzles that defy solving. He sees a mystery as a challenge, and is driven to solve them by any means necessary, often sticking his nose into places where he probably shouldn't.

Titles & Feats: None, as he's a 12 year old slave.

Basic Personality: Poe is almost disturbingly grim for a child of his age, prone to pessimism and all things macabre. This being said, he's not all depression and sadness, as he also has a great fondness for black comedy and laconic wit. Underneath the rain clouds, he's actually a very caring, compassionate boy who'd like to see everyone get a fair deal - he just knows it's not likely to happen.

Psychological/Social Issues: Experiences some fairly severe depressive episodes, and is slow to form deep connections with others.

Appearance: Edgar is thin and lanky, with pale white skin and well-defined ribs. His face is gaunt and sallow, with heavy dark circles under his eyes - he almost gives the impression of ill health or fever, even at his most healthy.

Natural Abilities:

Telltale: Edgar can hear the heartbeats of anyone nearby him, in a radius of about ten feet, and detect any irregularities in them. The sound can't be dampened or obstructed, and he's even capable of recognizing the heartbeats of people he spends a lot of time with.

Darkness Held Dominion: Edgar has limited night-vision, being able to see more or less clearly in very low-light conditions (for example, he could see perfectly in a small room lit only by a single candle). He does, however, need some light source in order to see, and it doesn't work as well with starlight/moonlight.

Power:

Nevermore: Black birds of all kinds - Ravens, crows, sparrows, and so forth - are susceptible to Edgar's will. He has a limited ability to command them, from tasks as complicated as "Bring this to so-and-so" to as simple as 'attack'. He has no power to summon or call such birds, however, and his influence over them can't overpower their natural instincts - with the exception of his familiar Usher, they'll eventually leave to seek food (though if domesticated, they may be convinced to stick around).

Companion: "Usher", A jet-black male raven that follows him wherever he goes and is also subject to his powers.

Relations:

That's what I've got so far. Let me know what you think! I wasn't sure if characters based on real-world people were allowed magical powers, but I hope Edgar's low powered enough and themed well enough to work.

I dunno, I also like the BBC's "Adventure's of Merlin" one. But Disney Merlin...hmmmm

Dancing broomsticks and killing a witch with a bacteria...yeah, Disney.

Merlin and Edgar Allen Poe are approved. I apologize for taking so long to approve. I just finally found a moment to sit at my computer. I change state this Saturday so I've been packing up and cleaning out my room for the preparation.

@vosenedich@vosenedichNow as for starting slave roles, I can see Merlin and Poe having similar jobs lol. I can see Merlin being tasked in the library. I also see Poe tasked in the library as well. But he can always bee a birdkeeper. This game has technology as high as steampunk but we can always use the Game of Thrones message system, ie. birds. :)

I think I'd like to have Poe in the library with Merlin, mainly because bird-keeping for him wouldn't even be a full-time job. He could still probably do it on the side, but like, he'd just have to run out and yell at them every so often. No training required. :p

Bram Stoker

Character Image Goes Here - Not applicable at this time

Age:11
Eye Color: Brown
Hair Color: Brown
Height:5'2"
Weight:106 lb.
Physique: Pretty scrawny, but average limb length and such
Complexion:Light
Immunities:Nothing, really
Weaknesses:Extremely paranoid of supernatural occurrences, and comes up with contingency plans for such events. This can be distracting in combat.

Titles & Feats: Nothing

Basic Personality: Bram is a paranoid young child, who fears most things. He can become extremely violent when enraged, which isn't that often. Keeps a cool head when it comes to day to day situations

Psychological/Social Issues: Is very wary upon first meeting of anyone, and has a fear of vampires.

Appearance: Bram is nothing special in appearance. He is of an average build, with shaven brown hair and brown eyes, He could easily blend into a crowd of people, should he choose.(and were he not in slave clothes)

Natural Abilities:

Specter Detector: Can tell if someone is undead (Vampires, ghosts, etc.) Can see usually invisible entities.

Transylvania Twist: Is decent at acrobatics

Power:

Teleportation - Arthur can teleport short distances, it works better if he can see his destination.

Companion: None

Relations: Merlin

You give him enhanced healing and then you give him teleportation. Those two abilities are nowhere near similar. Regeneration would have to be an ability if your "power" doesn't support for it being a natural ability.

First of all, I love that you chose Bram Stoker and are going with the vampire theme. :) I love unexpected character choices, and I'm not downplaying anyone who chose a character to be expected. I chose a pretty cliche one myself. I just love how people are choosing writers because they aren't often chosen. I like how you're going with the vampire hunter theme. The only thing that I thought was random out of your choices was the acrobatics, but...seeing as acrobatics is a human ability, I cannot say no. lol He could just be gifted. Having said this, Bram Stoker is approved.

We have two hot heads on the team, him and Arthur lol.

***Special Note: Bram doesn't know about the existence of vampires because that would tie into him remembering who he is I feel. He doesn't have to worry about vampires for awhile. But that doesn't mean when we do the huge time skip that he didn't become a vampire hunter during that time. But just for now as a child who barely remembers who he is, let's just keep the vampire stuff like...unknown. He can still be a spirit detector but just nah...

Now slave role, because he does talk to spirits, which are things people don't normally see. I can see him working somewhere where he can't creep people out such as a wine cellar or doing some duty away from others such as stable hand lol.

We so far have:

1. Pit Fighter
2. Library Staff
3. Library Staff
4. Where ever you decide to have him
5. Arthur...I can see Crassus liking Arthur because of his secret kingly-air that he gives off. His charisma. So I can see Arthur working almost like a squire to Crassus.

Also, I can see him not liking working in the cellar because of his paranoia

@duskshine749@vosenedich@TheWizardLizard@ShaggyDoo0@AdobeFlash

Hey everyone,

I'm just keeping you all up-to-date on my activity. I'm going to start designing the IC right now. It's late here, and I've been out-processing all day, so I'll see if I can get most of this done tonight. But I'm going to be working on it, and I'm just letting you all know it's under construction. The IC is going to map out Aiwren only in the case that your characters may be sent to the store under Overseer watch to fetch supplies for whatever job you're working *hint**hint*.

Otherwise, you will also find the manor mapped out for your exploration. Some places are prohibited, which I'm sure those places will appeal to the curious type, but if you get caught, you will be beaten. Marcus Crassus is a GM-played character only for story purposes. There are some Overseers that you guys are free to create, but as soon as you name them, they'll become common characters that other players should know. You can't just pretend they don't exist, and I'll update those Overseer NPCs as they are created. If you create more NPCs, then those named NPCs will be added under the list as well. Just let me know when you do this because from now until Saturday, I'm going to be running around. I believe only Thursday and Friday I'll finally be out-processed and chilling until I fly out.

Do not use NPCs in order to get your character special favors that could alter the plot. That's not what they're there for. Their purpose is just to enrich your posts. Leave the plot elements to me. I may drop some characters things that need to be investigated and it'll be up to you whether you choose to do so or not. Some things have consequences - mostly positive and not always negative. If you didn't notice the clue, then it'll be fine. I will work with you lol.

But if you need to read how this arc is supposed to go just refer to the second post of the OOC. I summarized it there.

Final words, while you guys are waiting for the IC to go up, please discuss character relations. If you think your character would get along with so-and-so, dislike so-and-so, create a rivalry with so-and-so, be protective of so-and-so, etc. Then you can create those opinions and add them to your character sheets only if they're approved by both parties.

Edit-Added Info: So after I post this standard IC post, there is going to be a big banquet starting out the game and your characters are going to see some very important historical figures there.
