Agreed, Macabre. That was an exciting character creation experience. Truly an excellent character building exercise.

I'll definitely keep this in mind if I ever get the knack to run a RP again, that's for sure.

Also, @beyond visions, I like the fact that we're not starting off at the very beginning of the quest, and that we're actually a week into it. I think that was a brilliant idea, most people genuinely start so as to introduce everyone, but here, we already know one another by a week in. Haven't had that happen before either.

@MacabreFox I love all the positive feedback. I'm feeling like I'm on cloud nine right now, and I was not even quite sure about the character relationship, but I stuck with it anyways. Yeah, I like to have my roleplays set up right before some drama, not orchestrated for some meet and greets.

Just a curious question, how does Floure perform her fortune-tellings? With a tarot deck? Rune-reading? Geomancy? Pendulums?

It all really depends on her client and what method is available to her at the time. She was taught multiple methods and has dabbled in many others including, fire reading, scrying in a bowl of water/mirror, reading of regular playing cards, reading tea leaves even up to the movement of birds and clouds.

She tends to favor methods which require the least amount of tools and prep time, so it is always readily available to her and she can earn coin at any given time. She's most skilled at palm reading and she uses it to figure out what makes someone who they are, their characteristics, emotional habits, their way of dealing with others and the world around them. It's not that handy when you need straight up, direct and clear cut answers. If she needs answers fast let's say to know which direction she should go she's been known to throw the old coin. She uses three coins for this method thrown into a circle.

I have to say and I'm not trying to be a real fortune teller here nor state the obvious but.....
The characters and all the work that has been put into this by everyone really makes me feel like this is becoming something special. This is a kind of story and group of writers you don't come across every day. We could just well be the golden bunch who create something we'll be really proud of later down the line. A roleplay you'll remember for a long time after it's done. In all my time of roleplay that has only happened once but my gut tells me this could become the second time. So I'm crazy excited and will get to work on my relationship sheet right away!

P.S It seems you can either be in love with Floure or hate her guts. It was incredibly fun to read and I love seeing how other characters view her.

Splendid! I do tarot reading, and palm reading as a hobby IRL, so I was just curious, but don't worry, I won't hold anything against you! Though, I think I will mention that Floure did a palm reading for her.

Aww, yes, I agree! I'm surprised at how well this is coming together. I'm interested in seeing how Floure views everyone already, and more importantly, to get started. I feel that there is a lot of drama brewing already since we have the Character Relationships up, and I really can't wait for Grace to be in action. RPs where everyone is putting in considerable effort are the best experiences I have, I'm sure none of us will be disappointed.

@dreamingflowers@MacabreFox

I take both of your comments to heart, and I'm actually a little stunned that you think so. Although I have always anticipated in this happening, it feels unreal to have this much support. So thank you :)
I do feel a bit of some pressure with the first post, especially with me doing things a lot differently than I normally do which will be reveal quite soon. I will say that all the characters have been perhaps the best bunch I have ever seen because they are all so far different, thus foretelling immensely unique character interaction.

@MacabreFox

I'm fashinated by it too and I've read a lot about the many methods of divination used by cultures from all over. About a year and a half ago I started a diploma course to study a deck of Italian oracle cards. It is the national deck used there and very well known, La Vera Sibilla. From the structure I can tell it's mostly likely based on regular playing cards. I found it to be the right time and it's something that brings me closer to my Italian roots too.

I'm sorry this relationship sheet is taking me forever. I keep rewriting it trying to improve it but I think I'll just write and keep what I write instead of deleting it again.

That would probably be best! Don't think too much about it, maybe just your general impressions from Floure's pov (:

@Deserted@MacabreFox@dreamingflowers@The New Yorker@Fetzen

Alright guys, I just submitted the first post, and I don’t usually do this but for the scenario to play out well, I’m going to have to clarify a short order. The order will be 1st post- me (which is obviously already posted), 2nd post- @dreamingflowers, 3rd post- me again, and then @MacabreFox. The rest can jump in from there.

Awesome first post! The music really added to the atmosphere and it made the scene more alive, if that makes any sense.

Is there a particular reaction you need from Floure for this scenario? Would she let him take the drug or would she take it from him? If she let's him use it will she stay with him until the effects are gone?

@dreamingflowers Thank you, I've decided to do something I that I believed adds more depth which is adding in the music. Throughout the roleplay with different scenes and such, I'll insert a new track. As, for what Floure can do, well she can snatch away his bag or allow him to use it. If she decides to allow him to use it, she can stay with him or not, its your choice. Just make sure she doesn't leave the scene just yet.

@beyond visions So in regards to sleeping arrangements, do we all sleep under one tent, or do we have separate tents? What's the set-up on this?

@MacabreFox To me, I don't imagine any specific sleeping arrangements, rather some are in tents while others simply lying on mats. I had Emmett's post assume Floure was on a mat, thus giving reason how he could bump her. Hope that is a bit of help to you. I'm hoping to have the next post out pretty soon.

It does yes, although one more question...

What kind of desert are we in? Is it like the Sahara? Pure sand? Or are there tiny shrubs and cactus about?

@MacabreFox

I would say tiny shrubs and cactus, there is a bit of Mother Nature in there, a remnant.

All right, I'll get on my first post for Grace then (:

@beyond visions Just to clarify, did Emmett take the Desert Flower? Because I see an emphasis for it, I'm not sure if you meant the kiss or the flower...?

@MacabreFox Definitely the kiss because in the first post he had already shoved the flower into his bag, thus hiding it.

Right, that's what I thought. Just wasn't sure by the implication. Anywho, I'm almost done with my post, it'll be up here shortly.

EDIT: Post is up.
