Centuries ago, the Jade Emperor invited, no, demanded that all the animals come to his birthday. He announced that they would race across a river to his palace on January 9th, and the winners would be assigned guard duty over the Heavenly Gate, to make sure that deities didnโt sneak down to the mortal world. Of course, the animals all got excited and couldnโt wait for January 9th.
The Cat and the Rat had been neighbors, and never really got along. The Cat would always bully the Rat, and the Rat was too afraid to say anything, but quietly plotted revenge. The day before the race, the Cat ordered the Rat to tell him and keep him informed about when he would be leaving to the race the next day. The Rat promised to tell the Cat, but on the morning of January 9th, he was so excited that he left without informing the cat.
No matter how early he was, the Rat was unable to cross the swift current of the river. Seeing the Ox start to cross, the Rat jumped into the Oxโs ear. The gentle Ox didnโt mind it, and started running towards the Jade Emperor's palace. When the palace gates came into sight, the Rat jumped off and scampered to the feet of the Emperor, winning first place.
Meanwhile, the poor Cat slept through the whole thing.
Did the Rat accidentally โforgetโ, or was it on purpose?
Modern Day
A small quaint town in America is home to one of the mostโฆ unique, boarding schools. Their total student count still under two-hundred, they advertised like mad for anyone who wanted to apply. While their class curriculum was lacking for subjects such as Mathematics, English and Sciences, their extra-curricular programs were borderlining the best in the continent.
While most schools had clubs such as a study group, student council, one or two sports teams and maybe even a few odd ones like an anime club, this school had them all. How they had the money to fund all the clubs was unknown, but one thing was for certain. Their clubs were astounding. Their Chemistry club had an unlimited amount of chemicals and top-quality lab equipment, whilst their Archery club had enough arrows to single-handedly win a war.
Their Astrology clubโฆ It has the most interesting lore books, ranging from western to eastern astrology. A telescope that rivals the ones seen in astrology centers. Even maps of constellations posted around the room, and a constellation projector itself. Horoscope calculators, compatibility charts, you name it, and they probably have it.
Rules
1/ Post your CS in the OOC first, and wait to be approved before putting it into the Character tab.
2/ If youโre going to drop out or be inactive, let me know.
3/ No godmodding or controlling other peopleโs characters (Unless they explicitly state itโs okay).
4/ Post length can be anything suited for Casual.
5/ Thereโs no rule to how often you can post, but try not to do it an insane amount.
6/ Donโt ignore the guideline on the CS or else you most likely wonโt be accepted.
7/ You can have up to two characters, but only one character per zodiac.
8/ If you want to reserve an animal and can't get a CS up right away, let me know and I'll save it for you for 24 hours. After that it'll become available again.

Since the Zodiac run on a year rotation, technically there should be only one zodiac per age (Like a Rabbit would be 17, so an Ox cannot be 17) but for the sake of this RP that doesn't apply.
