Personality:Positive Traits -
Loyal. Jieun is extremely loyal to her friends and those she considers family. So loyal to the point where she won't call them out if they do something wrong. She will stick by them through thick and thin, no matter what it costs her. So long as she has her friends, nothing else matters. Many have compared her loyalty to that of a dog. Even though her friends may not always be right, she has a strong feeling of support and allegance to them.
She is also
brave, around her friends. When she is around them, she becomes a whole new person. The timid, shy Jieun is no more. If danger arises, she will go and challenge it head on. She will fight fires, burglars, or even tackle down someone who dares to put a hand on any of her friends. She will not hesitate to defend anyone close to her, physically or verbally. If given the choice to jump into a burning building with a chance that only two people, including herself could get out, she would sacrifice herself to save two of her friends. Her bravery knows no limits, which could be both her best trait and worst downfall.
Negative Trait -
Insecure. Jieun is very, very insecure. Due to not having friends for a lot of her life and often being picked on, she demands constant attention and compliments from those who are her friends. When she doesn't get the compliments she craves, she gets crabby and very easy to agitate. She doesn't like seeing her friends compliment and give other people attention, and she can be extremely clingy. This often drives people away, but those that stay are in for a hell of a ride. If she thinks they aren't giving her enough attention, she will very often lash out at them, yelling and kicking and screaming for them to notice her. On the flip side, if someone compliments her makeup that day, or her hairstyle, she will enjoy it. However, she will also become to expect it more. Her tolerance for that person will wear thinner faster if they don't keep up the compliments, and if they don't notice small things like a change in her hairstyle, she will drop them quicker than you can say "called it".
She is also
sassy around her friends, both to them, and to anyone else. Her words can have quite a venemous undertone, and be passive-aggressive. She is quite lively and bold, full of spirit, but cheeky. She feels that, because she is the Real Kings Leader, she's tough and knows it all, and if people don't respect her, they get sass and cheek. She is not above making jokes at other peoples expense, and is definitely not above making snarky remarks about people.
Place of Origin:Gyeryong - South Korea
History:Childhood:Jieun was born into a middle-class family, consisting of her mother and father. She was their first child, and only child at the time. Since her father was in the military, she didn't see him often, and her mother often spoiled her. Growing up in the small town, she was taught how to speak in both Chungcheong dialect and the standard Seoul dialect. During her childhood, Jieun went to a standard school and didn't really get education forced on her. Her mother encouraged her to do what she wanted in life, and so long as her grades were stable, she wouldn't be forced to take any extra classes on weekends or on obscene hours of the day. At the age of 8, her parents brought her younger brother into the world. At first, she wasn't particularly fond of him, as he was a very loud baby. Over time, he started to grow on her.
Early Adolescence:During the first few double-figure years of life, Jieun got rather attached to her brother, more so than her parents. Their attention had shifted from her to him, and as the youngest, he got away with a lot more than she did. This angered her, and she started rebelling in her own way. She started skipping out on school classes to dance, causing her grades to slip. When approached by her mother about it, she would always retaliate with the fact that her mother had told her to pursue what she wanted to do. At the time, that was dancing. She convinced her mother to enroll her in a dance class on weekends so she could make friends and do what she loved, so long as she got her grades back up. Jieun was excited to start the dance class, since she was sure her skills were superior, and she would get a lot of attention from the other students there.
However, she was wrong. In the grand scheme of things, her skills were sub-par. She would get picked on often for almost anything that people could come up with. Her looks, her dancing, her grades, her family, the lot. The few times someone befriended her, it wouldn't be long before the rumours got their attention and pulled them away, along with her constant need for attention. She drifted further and further away from her family, getting to the point where she would go days without speaking to them. After a few months of that, she pulled herself out of the dance classes and started teaching herself. By that point, her younger brother was old enough to understand what was going on, and he was the only family member who gave her attention.
Adolescence - Present:Disgraced with how often Jieun was skipping classes, and how low she had allowed her grades to fall, her parents sent her to Sevit Academy in Seoul. A boarding school so she would be unable to skip so often. She was distraught to have to move so far from her brother, and the fact that her parents disowned her because they didn't think she was smart enough. She was smart. She just didn't pay attention in classes. After that, she made a promise to herself that she'd never allow her grades to rise, as a way to spite her parents. She developed a love for shopping and writing stories in coffee shops. Rather than becoming a dancer, she started slowly looking more into modelling, and decided that she wanted to become a model.
