@AzereiahDrago waved his hand in the air as John pointed out his loss. His back was rather sore and standing was not something he wanted to do at the moment.

"Agreed. Nice ground." Drago coughed once then rolled over to his stomach. His bright blue eyes looked over John. "But that was still uncool."

The he flopped his head back on the ground to wait for the teacher to call the class over. He could hear the other students wrapping up. But hopefully there'd be sometime for him to just lay here.

Studying her opponent, Athena almost rolled her eyes. The change in the air had gone unnoticed by the younger girl, as she was still rather unskilled. She knew that Clara had done something, even if it wasn't what she had wanted or anticipated. But she just didn't know what the older girl had done. It would be unwise if she rushed into this, and she wasn't much for combat, but it seemed like she would have to make the first offensive move.

Her first idea was to steal an attack. If someone happened to be nearby, it would be rather easy to manipulate the air to bring their fireball or water spray in her opponents direction. Alas, there was no such thing in a reasonable distance, and she was pretty sure she wouldn't make any friends that way. Perhaps...

Rocking back and forth on her feet slightly, Athena contemplated her move. Perhaps it would be possible to split up the components in the air, and send a raw gust of pure oxygen at Clara. Would it hurt her? She didn't know. Was it even doable? With her limited skills, it may not be. Taking a steady breath, the younger girl pulled some of the air towards herself, focusing intently. It didn't seem like her opponent was in any rush to attack, so she was safe. Of course, in the real world she wouldn't have the beauty of taking her time.

After a few moments of bumbling about with the air, she realised it wasn't doable for someone of her skill. Giving up on the separation tactic, Athena sent the air straight for the older girls ear. There was no point going for the face, but if the ear of a person was hit by a large gust of air, it was almost a given that they'd lose their balance.

Sophia coughed when a cloud of smoke surrounded her head. Of course, this left her wide open to an attack while she was distracted, feeling a hit come to her left side, she moved with it. It still hurt, but she's glad she didn't try to hold her ground. Stumbling to the side, she kept coughing, finally covering her face and trying to breath through her clothes. "Holy... Peyton, that was awesome," she gasped, still trying to recover and figure out where the other girl had gotten off to.

There was no way she could get an actually good hit in in this smoke and she knew she just needed to defend herself and make sure Peyton couldn't get a lot more hits in. Things seemed to be ending around her and it sounded like the teacher was moving around the room, getting ready to call the end of class. Thank goodness, she didn't want to have to keep fighting Peyton, she'd much rather go out to get drinks then do this. Maybe they could all go out somewhere after classes today. "If you don't kill me, lets hang out after this."

"Yeah, not gonna bother denying it. Pretty ratty of me, huh?"

John was looking up, staring into one of the overhead ceiling lights. Some moths had gathered around the bulb - apparently they didn't realize it was still light out. Something about this place seemed a little bit overcharged, maybe a little too powerful in comparison to the mundane places he'd been, and it was keeping the smallest creatures from ever ceasing moving. Perhaps it had to do with the number of people playing with elemental magic on a regular basis.

Drago appeared to not be bothering getting up, which was good, because John wasn't feeling particularly energetic at that moment. He flopped backwards onto the floor and placed his hat over his face, crossing one leg over the other. The dances of the moths in the light had brought a tune to his mind, and he found himself quietly humming as the lights played tricks on his eyes between the fibers of his straw hat. Outside the gym, a single, small cloud began to darken slightly in response.

Julia glanced at the clock. The class would be let out soon and Julia had to win this fight. Her eyes narrowed at her opponent and she attacked like a wildcat. Her feet fled across the distance between the two competitors. Her dark eyes were narrowed on no one but the younger girl. She acted like she was going to jump to attack the girl but at the last moment she slid down across the floor. She bounced up now standing behind the girl. She aimed a punch at the stomach, but then realized her fatal mistake. Her weak ankle was sitting in a pile of ash. It wasn't firm footing. Julia needed to move and move fast, but throwing that punch had unbalanced her. Julia struggled to find her balance, and would only manage to block any punches that came her way.

Peyton cleared the smoke from her throat and smiled as it began to disappear. "We totally should," She responded and looked over her shoulder as the teacher was wrapping up the rest of class. "You were pretty good at this too though," She said and lightly hit Sophia on the upper arm. She was getting antsy to get out of this class. "I'm just ready for the day to be over." They walked back over to the bleachers and started gathering their things. Peyton reached into her bag and sighed audibly when her fingertips brushed against the smooth surface of her egg.

Startled Lynx flinched, only to see the attack miss. Knowing this she turned to to her opponent, formed a storm cloud behinds her, low enough that the cloud was 2 inches off the ground, then dissipated the hardened ash and let the girl fall backwards on to the soft cloud. This took a minute or to but Lynx was proud of herself.

Sophia couldn't stop grinning when she realized that Peyton wasn't going to try to take off and not be her friend. She shrugged when she said she was good. "Thanks, but you should really see me with a bow and arrow. I'm much better with that. Should we see if anyone else wants to go out?" She thinks it would be good if they all got along, especially if they'll be training with and against each other. "Anyone want to go out?" She asks to the people around her, it's not like she's worried about anyone hearing specifically what she has said. But the more people the better, she supposes.

John had stopped paying any attention to Drago, who appeared to be very much enjoying the floor. Did he seriously fall asleep after that kind of landing? That was, in all honesty, extremely impressive. The humming continued for a couple minutes, and the darkened cloud in the skies far above the gymnasium continued to grow until John was distracted by a question that seemed to him to be quite reasonable.

"Anyone want to go out?", asked one of the other students. The cloud almost instantly returned to its normal hue and calmed itself as John considered the question, as though it had never darkened in the first place.

He gave his answer as he pried himself off of the floor and grabbed his bag, whose familiar weight reminded him of the presence of his egg. It was always present, and it always slightly twitched when he moved it, but it was good to know where it was at all times. "I'm in. Any ideas where we could go?"

Lynx directed her attention else where " I'm in!"
