Just got my first post up! I was going to make it much longer (split with stuff going on in the southern part of Cordonova) but I've got work bright and early in the morning.

While I love reading posts, (why else should one even play by post?) Wouldn't it be convenient to add a very short summary, just two or three sentences at the end of each post, maybe in a hider? This is a tried and good method I have seen used to great effect.

FINALLY finished my sheet, after taking 5ever, though I'll probably do a few tweaks to the history section later on.

Is there a difference between the Ambrusian Order (the heretic burners) and Fiorentianism proper? Just trying to get it right, cuz my next post involves some sweet infidel burning action.

Alrighty; Fiorentianism is the name of the religion, like Christianity. The Ambrusian Church is the name of the dominant religious sect, in the same way that Catholicism or Protestantism are denominations of Christianity.
However, on Antova, the Ambrusians are the only real Fiorentinan hierarchy of note. There aren't any other religious institutions comparable enough to take notice. So the terms Ambrusian Church and "Fiorentianism proper" can be used interchangeably.

So, before I start my intro post: The part about the Timlukids preparing for war in the OP is just for flavor or are they actually preparing a Jihad-by-another-name? And if yes, would my kingdom, being at the border know enough to start preparing to defend itself?

There are many different tribes and principalities within the Timlukid world, and cooperation is decentralized, sporadic. At the moment, there is no all-out Jihad brewing, but skirmishes between the east and west aren't uncommon. There very well could be a few maverick sultans arrayed against you, but that'd hardly be the entirety of the Timluks' might.
For now, just note that tensions across the border are high - not unusually - and there may be multiple clans at the forefront. Their number and makeup come down to good your spies/scouts are. I'll do some POVs through the Timluk perspective now and then, but I'm leaving a bit of the opening stages to the players.
