Scouting was not something that this teenage girl was thrilled about. Nick Fury, Director of SHIELD had this time assigned her on a scouting mission to northern half of Colorado that has had talk and supposed photographic evidence of extraterrestrial activity. He made it clear that she was not to engage unless fired upon, not to go near said activity, and most importantly, contact HQ of said activity mentioned and await further orders. Not liking said orders the armored teen knew better than to disobey them unless said orders were stupid or had no time to do said orders. As the daughter of Iron Man and could have chosen to live a somewhat normal life, however she chose not to. She wanted to be part of her father's team, To be with the people she called family and cared for.
So basically the only good side to all this was that she could fly the skies and in her red and silver suit. It was much like the MRK-3 and MRK-4 models, only she made it to suit her and her scouting missions. Sure the young Stark made some others to aid her if SHIELD couldn't make it in time. Though flying made up for the boring part of the mission. This was both boring, yet nerve wrecking really. Not only was this her third mission but this was the first mission that she could do this herself.
Taking a deep breath, she examined her HUD screen and her surroundings. "Jarvis?" The female called the A.I that helped operate the suit.
"Yes ma'am? Is there something you require?" Jarvis asked the teen with curiosity.
Continuing her flight path, her eyes darting every which direction to keep an eye out for anything. She felt she would miss something even though Jarvis could tell her anytime it could come up. "No. Not really. How is the search on your end?"
"Nothing to report ma'am." Jarvis replied.
"I'm stumped, I don't think there is anything around here. How long have we out here for?"
"Half an hour ma'am."
"Really?! It's felt like hours!" The young Stark declared with a groan. Moving her body, she leaned to where she put her feet under her and lowered the power in the repulsors to the point she was hovering. She hands at her sides to make she that she wasnt going to go anywhere. "Just great..." Looking around at the different scenery around her. "Well. Fury said that they would check every half hour." Then it clicked. "Wait. Shouldn't they have called already?"
"Would you like me to call your father, ma'am?" The A.I asked.
"Yeah. Go ahead and do that. I'm sure he's on the Helicarrier." The armored teen began to laugh a little at the thought of the mental image of the famous Tony Stark freaking out in his head as he paced around the main deck.
"Calling now." Jarvis said simply, On the left, of the HUD, an image appeared of her father with the world 'Calling...' above it. While hovering, she looked around until some unknown force had slammed into her back. The teen was surprised by this sudden attack that, they started to descend rapidly. Even the A.I had not seen this coming as if it magically happened. Either way, this red and silver armored teen was going to fight back.
"Screw all calls Jarvis! Send a Distress beacon!" the teen shouted as she was hearing the rush of the wind while they were descending. The A.I did so without a word. "Flares!" The suit did as it was told as the suit shifted some of the metal at her thighs, flares shooting out, causing the unknown to curse in some, unknown language which gave her a clue that this thing that she was fighting was indeed sentient. Feeling the lifting from her back, Turning her body to see the unknown creature. However it was gone. Going to land and landing, she took out a tube from her suit and ignited it. A red flare shot up into the sky.
"According to my scanners ma'am. we are certainly in the clear. Would you like me to continue broadcasting the distress beacon?"
"No. Turn it off. I am sure that they will have someone on the way." The beacon was turned off as ordered, however within a few minutes, she received a call.
<"We got your distress beacon. Are you alright?"> A male voice asked, sounding like one that was strict and serious but caring for what he believes in as well as the people he leads.
"Yeah. I'm alright Fury, whatever attacked me is gone. couldn't get a good look at it to see what exactly attacked me."
<"I've sent Black Widow and Hawkeye. Stay there and await further orders. Is that clear?"> This male dubbed as Fury asked.
"Yes sir." And the call was cut. After a few minutes of waiting, the armored teen heard an unusual sound that caught her attention and turned to see what it was. What she found was a strange looking circular portal. It was odd to see such a thing. "Jarvis?"
"It seems to be some sort of strange portal ma'am. However it does not seem to be possible."
"Obviously it is possible if its right there." The teen told the A.I dryly. Trying to examine the portal more, her thoughts drifted till she caught a A.I sounding voice. "Behind you!" The A.I sounded alarmed. But before the armored teen could react, she was pushed into the portal, her suit's systems shutting down. What felt like a few seconds was her falling on something, or more like, someone. What she didnt know was that she landed on a villain.
