Sure, he'll probably end up killing mindless nulls or even civilians turned against their will in the chaos, that's just the world the RP takes place within, but Metanoia is inexorably drawn towards beings who have committed atrocities so as to punish them, and he'd probably be able to find experienced vampires in the crowds who have done so many evils to other beings.

"Atrocities" can be quite subjective. If he's the god of regret, surely creatures with no regrets can fly under his radar. Also, given that he's telegraphing his location quite clearly, these "experienced" vampires should be very adept at avoiding persecution. It's like a big gory game of Pac Man.

I personally don't think they can avoid being hunted by a god. They're way below his personal power level. Metanoia's followers and the vampires would be balanced out more, but no, they can't just blithely hide from a deity.

On the other hand, all that hunting will take time. He'll be distracted, but he'll find them. They aren't that good at cloaking themselves that a god won't get to them.

Not hiding precisely as much as running. Vampires are the scourge of society in every imaginable way, and even the freshest of them (the born ones, anyway) have to be experts in avoiding persecution just to survive. He can't be every place at once. Just like I said, it's like a really absurd version of Pac Man.

I'd also like to turn the eye back to Metanoia, who is currently involving himself in the focused persecution and genocide of a specific race. HMMMM.

Also, Caesilinus is huge and there are parts that are fortified. I am ruling 60% of the mortal population dead, as efforts were concentrated on gates, walls and strategic points like the temple. The poorer and merchant quarters are way more intact. There's a huge mortal population there and while they can't put up a fight for long, they can certainly last longer than a day.

They can declare victory, but there's lots of 'mopping up' to do in there.

All I'm looking for is a population majority, even a slight one, so 60% is fine by me. That's enough for Vaslonya to annex the joint. Killing absolutely everyone wouldn't be totally productive, either.

Metanoia is killing vampires right now because they're killing other sentient beings. He's of the belief that vampires don't have to do that in order to survive. Therefore, vampires that kill and turn others against their will get it coming to them. He'd do the same to any other race, whether it's human, elf, dwarf, etc.

Currently debating whether he should continue the fight, or if he should head downstairs to make sure the Derevi mother's rescue of her family doesn't turn against the world.

Is this still open for newcomers? I was thinking of creating a representation of political chaos, usurpers, revolution and instability.

I say 'representation' for a reason: is it possible for me to, rather than being a deity, be a figment of a rule of nature? E.g. a small figment of the physical law of entropy. This figment would be at the same power level (and be balanced in all ways with) as other deities.

Of course, if this violates the atmosphere of this RP, I could play the son of the very powerful deity of chaos, who has long ago (in the Ventu age) gone into a very, very deep sleep- they would probably not wake up during the RP, because that would unbalance matters in my favour.

Or I could just say that I'm a deity of the above mentioned domains. It really depends on what you think might ruin the tone.

EDIT: Um...after looking through the CS thread again, I cannot see any deity that shares more than one of the same domains. You're allowed to have small overlap with other deities, right?
