“I think that Red Rain is right about seeing what the boss's deal is,” Lexi added, pursing her lip in thought. It could be literally anything, and she didn't want them to suffer casualties because of recklessness. “I can cover you from bullet fire for a few minutes if you have an idea about drawing out the boss's abilities.” She projected an image of what she meant rather than mentally speaking it, figuring that it would be faster. Really, it wouldn't be hard. A cone of fast-flowing air that countered the momentum of the bullets flying through the air. But, it had the potential to be exhausting because of the fact that each bullet strained at her control over the air with their own turbulence.
The boss apparently grew tired of waiting, though it had only been a minute at most, as he suddenly spoke up and interrupted their mental huddle. “Come on already! Aren't you supposed to be superheroes or something?!” he shouted, firing off a shot towards the wall. Motioning his goons to fan out and begin looking for the heroes, he continued. “I hope you didn't come here to play hide-n-seek!" Before they actually moved, most of the goons glanced a little apprehensively at the flying specter, half expecting it to kill them all considering none of their bullets actually worked on it. It wasn't really moving, however, so most of the goons decided that it was relatively harmless, especially compared to what their boss would be like if they didn't listen to him and get moving. So, they spread out a little to see if they could wrap around the heroes or try and get the jump on them.
“Geist? Can you tell what they're doing?” Lexi asked as she waited for Red Rain's response, the sound of people moving easy to pick up to her. Her ability to feel changes in the air meant that sounds were easier for her to receive, though she wasn't exactly sure that she “heard” them. “If they're moving around, we have to act soon. Especially if they're trying to get away. If you're ready to go, Red Rain, just give me a heads up and I'll cover you.”
