The Doctor groaned and rolled over on his bed, He felt like he had been trampled on by Judoon . He was achy and rather tired. He sat up gasping, his Pyjama's drenched in sweet, his stomach was aching as well. He slowly forced himself out of bed and went to go and have a shower and grab something to eat, He didn't even want to eat, but he knew he should to avoid it seeming obvious he wasn't hungry. He sighed and barely could finish. He yawned and walked into the console room when he was done. He coughed as he did. His head felt all fuzzy. He officially hated this.
He had been feeling ill for days, but he hadn't told Donna. He didn't want her to worry about him. Plus he knew that there was still a lot to do. He sighed leaning on the console thinking, he wished at least he didn't have a headache, It was making it hard to think. Even when he tried to have breaks there just wasn't the time for them. Something always roused him from his rest, He was sure he really did need one, but he couldn't stop. At least Donna was still asleep for now and wouldn't notice he was coughing and feeling ill at the moment.
The Doctor wasn't sure how much longer he could even hide it for, He was sweating and looking pale. He wasn't sure how much longer he could carry on when he couldn't barely focus.
He coughed more and went to go and get some water hoping to at least sooth his cough, Sleeping earlier than usual and a lot more was bound to get suspicious to Donna. He sipped more of his water before going back to the console and trying to seem less ill. He was looking at something on the screen which caught his attention, There was something interesting going on, he waited for Donna to wake before he started up the TARDIS. He hoped he wasn't going to sound like he was losing his voice. That was always a give a way that he wasn't well.
"Hello Donna. Sleep well?" He was smiling a bit, though it was almost not a real smile as he just felt terrible. He did hate lying to his friend, but he found it hard to admit he was ill , he had never succeeded in being open about such things.
He waited to see if she had noticed anything off about him. He hoped that she wouldn't, he was sure he would already have a fever, He went back to the console and pulled down several levers and pressed buttons. He knew he had barely been able to finish what he was eating lately as well. He didn't want to throw up so he was trying to avoid food, but since he knew Donna would find that strange he had done his best to eat something. Today had been the hardest as he had woken up feeling sick to his stomach, which he knew he would probably regret it later. When he had reached the destination, He had landed the TARDIS.
He coughed more and rubbed his head, There was still so much to do. "Allons-y," he said. Though he barely was able to shout it this time. Sleeping and resting was boring and he wanted to explore the planet they had just set foot on. He wasn't counting on getting injured or anything bad happening. Even if he was ill, he knew he wasn't going to stop, he had been carrying on for days when he was ill. He was sure Donna hadn't noticed then, though it had been less obvious that the time lord wasn't well, then it was slowly becoming. He wasn't keen on the medicines that he would be forced to take either.
He was so tired, but the universe always needed him.
