Mechwarrior, Muting the Word.
The year is 3067, the Inner Sphere is in Turmoil as Terra launches invasions on every House, and Sector. The Hand of Blake has taken control of Comstar, and begun it's Jihad to take it's ideology to every corner of the Universe. The Draconis Combine seeing this as a time when all the firepower that can be gathered to defend their planets should be. So they called upon Mercenaries, whoever they can get to fight the Blakists, and even the mercenaries that are fighting for the Word of Blake. The trials of combat to come will be long, and arduous. Only the most skilled and experienced pilots will survive, and go on to be heros.
You are one of those Mercenaries, an employee Mycroft's Marauders you are one of two lances under Commander Garret Mycroft, and hired to defend five planets within the Draconis Combine against the incoming Word of Blake Jihad. Things will be tough, but everyone under Garret has the thick skin, and experience to survive if they play their cards right. Will you survive? Will you go down in history as a Mechwarrior of the highest quality? A hero among Heros?
Welcome to the Battletech Universe on RPG, in this RP we will be playing as a team of Mech Pilots known as Mechwarriors to combat a threat to the entire Galaxy, the Word of Blake. Commander Garret Mycroft has been given a series of planets Land's End, Kopekty, Hongor, and Abagnar to defend at all costs by the Draconis Combine. With a strong faith in the veterans in his lances, and his ability to train the rookies he took the contract. The battles to come can be stressful, and pilots may come, and go. Your character may die in combat if they act foolishly.
There will be some restrictions mechwise, and each mech will be up to a "inspection" by myself as GM to see if I believe it would be too OP to play with. There are three mechs that are immediately being banned from being PC controled, Daishis, Atlas, and Battle Master are all three not allowed, at least not immediately. Armaments would need to be stock, or some kind of variant that makes sense for the Mech in question so as to not have anyone being overpowered.
