Sheran tends to be rather closed in, she doesn't like socializing too much with her Inner Sphere compatriots, as she often feels like she is getting things wrong, or will say the wrong thing. She is utterly loyal to her Commander, and will take a shot for him if she had too, she will always rush to his side to save him or else lose what honor she has earned back. Though she is somewhat aggressive as well, but what helps keep this aggression down is when she has been given missions where direct combat is not suitable especially for the light mech she uses. Though Due to this they also decided they shouldn't cripple her instead giving her a light mech with heavy weapons capable of tearing apart mechs larger than her own.

Pilot Biography:
She had the fairly typical upbringing of a Trueborn Clanner, growing up with her Sibko, rivalry among them, and even finding some intimate moments. She was the best of her Sibko though, she outclassed the rest of them in her expertise with a Mech. Though this was all true her brashness cost her a high ranking appointment. Instead she was put back in a star, and given a rather powerful yet light mech. She excelled in combat, and kept to this mech even when she was appointed leader of her Star after the former leader's death.

For years she fought the Inner Sphere alongside her clan bretheren tearing through lines, and defeating all the enemies that fought against her Star, though she lost some warriors in the process she was always on the upside. That was until Garret came to her planet. She fought with him fiercely, destroying most of his lance in the process killing two of Garret's pilots herself. That was until Garret got the upper hand and blew off one of her mech' legs effectively disabling her. He claimed her as a bondswoman, she found herself under his command, as feeling obliged by honor followed his every order.

She fought for him for three years, wearing the three bond chords that bound her to him. He cut one after she showed him her prowess in combat, and she began to feel a deep respect for the man, even if he had odd ways of doing things. She had often suggested coupling which he turned down, and further confused her as she felt it would be to their mutal benefit. She found herself growing more, and more accustomed to Inner Sphere social life to the point that she could pull off some things as long as she didn't talk. Now she waits with her Commander to fight the Word of Blake, a new challenge. One she hoped to prove herself worthy of another chord cut with.

Pilot Psychological Profile:
A warrior through-and-through, Garret would have been better suited to life in the Clans rather than in the Inner Sphere. He puts honor above most other things (within reason - it is convenient to forego it at times), and refuses to accept the notion of waging total war. Civilians, in his mind, do not deserve to be killed without first granting consent by means of taking up arms.

He isn't one to keep his mouth shut, and will comment on any and all circumstances as he sees fit, though he can't quite be considered 'loud-mouthed'. He accepts shit-talking so long as he's able to dish it out himself, but there is a line. Crossing that line is a surefire way for others to be docked pay, be sent to clean the sanitation pipes, or otherwise be yelled at.

Garret fancies himself to be a fairly decent leader and prides himself on being able to keep a ship as big as Mycroft's Marauders running smoothly as long as it has. Sometimes this goes to his head a bit, and comes across as him being condescending towards other, lower ranked officials within the organization, even though they're necessary to complete the paperwork he would otherwise refuse to touch.

He very much dislikes being disturbed during his down time by anybody he doesn't see as being a friend, and as such, most people had better have a damn good reason for bothering him in his quarters.

Garret is known for having berserker-like tendencies in combat, and has on more than one occasion continued to fight on foot after his mech has been disabled.

Pilot Biography:
Garret Mycroft was born to a middle class family on Tharkad. He had a relatively uneventful childhood, with both of his parents working full time jobs, and was a slightly below average student during his education at a private academy, not due to a lack of effort but due to a lack of mathematical and scientific talent.

Given his lack of academic talents, his prospects for a decent career were slim, and as a result he opted to join the military for training as a Battlemech pilot at the age of 20. Years of ass kissing, scrubbing toilets, and running simulations between guard duty in his standard issue UrbanMech permitted him to advance in rank relatively quickly over the years, until striking the rank of Hauptmann at 26. His interest in administrative duties was lacking, and as such, he was never able to move beyond that rank, which he was perfectly fine with - as moving any further up would take him away from piloting duties.

In 3062, Garret was stationed on Kentares IV in a 'peacekeeping' role, where he witnessed the execution of almost the entire Dresari family in person. Major disillusionment with the then-leader of the Lyran Alliance, Katherine Steiner-Davion, and her brutal methods led Mycroft to defect to the Dresari rebel forces and commandeering a set of dropships in the process. The rebellion was over in a flash, and upon the death of Lord Marcus Roland, Garret Mycroft took his stolen Lyran equipment and left the system.

A number of high risk stock trades based on his insider knowledge of the Lyran Alliance military permitted him to gather a respectable amount of capital quickly, and by the end of 3062, he had officially started Mycroft's Marauders, a small mercenary company that would remain fairly obscure for a number of years. Some lucrative jobs passed his way periodically, but generally they were taken up by larger and more reputable companies.

In 3064, after having built up a sufficiently good reputation, Mycroft's Marauders were hired to take on a defense job on a heavily forested Earthlike planet just within the borders of Clan space. Garret personally headed the effort to defend the facility, which was suspected to be on the verge of coming under attack by Clan Jade Falcon. Upon arrival of Clan forces, Garret issued a batchall to the attackers, who had been made up of a much larger force than had been anticipated. A Trial of Possession would take place between their leader's personal Star and Garret's own Lance using nothing but the equipment they had on them at the time, to prevent foul play. The conditions were set such that were Garret to be defeated, Clan Jade Falcon would be permitted to take the facility and planet relatively peacefully - and were the Clanners to be defeated, they would acknowledge the Draconis Combine's ownership of the planet and give their leader to Garret as a bondsman.

The Trial took place at night. Rather than permit the Jade Falcon forces to have the element of surprise, Garret ordered that the surrounding forest be burned to the ground, and the light from the ensuing inferno prevented effective camouflage and night vision usage. The first shots fired were from Clan forces, and one of Garret's three lancemates went up in flames instantly. No ejection pod was recovered. Having given away their positions, four of the Clan mechs received crippling hits, killing two of the pilots. The Star leader, having miraculously avoided all incoming fire, personally took down Garret's two remaining lancemates with a single CERPPC shot to the cockpit each before having one of its legs torn off and falling into a river. The Trial was complete, and as agreed, the remaining Jade Falcon forces departed.

Successful completion of the job yielded both a substantial boost to Mycroft's Marauders' reputation, and one Bondswoman, Sheran Pryde, who would go on to become one of Garret's most trusted advisers and a rather decent (if uncultured) friend in the coming years.

Pilot Psychological Profile: Ansgar is an old, tried and true hand in the art of warfare, and has had the dubious pleasure of having served with the DEST Commandos for twenty solid years, and served with the Draconis Military for six years prior to that. This tends to, understandably, give him a very tired outlook on life. Not to say it is pessimistic, but he tends to realism. The old man has given up considering retiring anytime soon, fully prepared to die on the field of battle for a cause he doesn't really believe in, for credits that aren't really worth the effort. He often times reminisces openly about his days as a DEST Commando, sharing war stories and providing hard learned lessons to those willing to hear them, and possibly spare them the pain of learning the hard way as he had. But, in his own words, "Some lessons, kiddies, are only learned at the Academy of Hard Knocks.", in other words, learned the hard way.

Ansgar has no ego to speak of, as is to say, he doesn't walk around strutting his stuff and trying to impress anyone with tales of his past deeds. He's seen and done things most kids he works with couldn't imagine, and shouldn't readily imagine either, and prefers to spend his off time quietly enjoying a cigar and a drink, staring out into the nothingness of space and letting his mind drift blankly. He has no line that is to not be crossed, as far as anyone has ever tried, although he tends to grow oddly quiet when the discussion shifts to relationships.

Unlike Clanners, and more honorable soldiers, Ansgar has literally zero qualms about going to any means necessary to win the war. From using civilians as targets of convenience to bait out enemy forces, bombing and assassinating key targets, or even resorting to chemical, biological, or radiological warfare, the former Commando hasn't ever lost sleep over what he's done. In a fight, he is the perfect picture of a calm, collected operator, knowing full well when to withdraw, flank, or otherwise fight as dirty as need be to win. In other words, the perfect thing for most Clanners to hate.

Pilot Biography: Born on the Combine homeworld of Luthien, to a heritage of military service, it was of little surprise that Ansgar would be raised as a perfect heir to the family tradition of military service. His parents would take him out and train him in physical and mental exercises as he grew up, alongside his academic training, and it would be of no surprise when he 'voluntarily' joined the Draconis Combine Mustered Soldierly as a Mech Warrior, as his family tradition would dictate. Of course, the family was beaming with pride at this, regardless of how Ansgar would have actually felt.

For the first seven years of his service he would rotate through the various corps of the DCMS, unwittingly following in the path of Ansgar's father, who was retired DEST, and would learn to operate and use most Draconis Combine equipment and vehicles, as well as those of their supposed allies as well, before being approached by the Internal Security Force with his new assignment. DEST, the number now scrubbed from the annals of history, needed a new body and Ansgar fit the bill rather nicely. So, accepting his new tasking, Ansgar was assigned to the role that would define his approach to warfare in life.

For twenty years, Ansgar would engage in actions that, should they have been public knowledge, would have been damning at best. From stealing corporate secrets and raiding Clan Tech from their owners, to assassinations and, for lack of nicer words, terrorist acts against vital targets that proved problematic to conventional solutions, the DEST team and Ansgar would eventually form a bond tighter than most, something noticed by the ISF. The tightly bonded team would eventually be sent into an impossible situation, intended to remove a now problematic part of the DEST. On Ansgar's twenty year anniversary of his entry into the DEST Commandos he would leave, presumed dead by the ISF.

Ansgar took his personal Mk. II Infiltrator, and his equipment, with him to rotate through various mercenary companies and organizations, often times working for the Draconis Combine that left him for dead. He held no qualms with the majority, just the ISF, and believed he could do more good now from outside than from within. Ansgar openly shared his experience with many he worked with, often times training groups of Battle Armor teams within various groups, and would eventually find himself in the employ of Mycroft's Marauders, something of an odd name. Ansgar would serve them as faithfully as he had any other, and anyone willing to learn from an old man in the world of warfare, well, all the better, right?

Pilot Psychological Profile:
A bondswoman of the Ghost Bears indicates that Michelle is a reserved and observant individual; favouring tactics over brute force. Her determination in continually arming her favourite armaments on her 'Mech harmonises with the usual role she leans towards; flanking an enemy unit.

Her Ghost Bear upbringing seem to make for cold first contact; feeling as though newcomers or new battle-tactics are untrustworthy and inefficient until proof has been earned through Victory. This also applies to day-to-day habits; should her routine be interrupted-- there will be much disappointment and frustration.

Interruptions made by her colleagues does not seem to affect her mood. In fact, it seems to enhance it.

Pilot Biography:

She was among other trueborns waiting for their turn to prove their worth in the frozen tundra. Michelle was born from a mix of the Bloodname eugenics that specialises in piloting 'Mechs. This resulted her to appear as though she is a normal humanoid or Freeborn. She successfully passed her test and was quickly assigned to undertake missions for the clan, as a Mech Warrior.

She was stationed across a variety of the Clan's worlds-- constantly hopping from one and another, battle by battle. Her encounters from these battles quickly forged her style of taking down an opponent, which was to follow an off-route site when her team was under fire and flank the opponent with heavy lasers firing at the enemy to force them to retreat. While her tactics generally do not work against well-organised 'Mech formations, she also employs the same principles when engaging an enemy head on by widening the frontline so that the enemy is forced to fire either fire at her or the barraging Star.

Many years of successful battles now slung onto her belt. She took her combat ability proudly and continued to serve the Clan and Ghost Bears until one battle came where misfortune struck-- this was an unprecedented event by Michelle's bold plan to take three mechs away from the entire Star and move as a "mobile frontline" with the other two heavy 'Mechs taking turns flanking and hit-n-running. She was among the three. Her tenacity and skill was able to suppress Mycroft's forces effectively. Thus, a Trial of Possession ensued. Should Mycroft was able to destroy at least one 'Mech in the mobile assault, they would allow them to retreat safely and evacuate the area. However, during one of the phases of switching between flanks, Michelle's unit was caught within a minefield resulting in catastrophic damage in her mech, while destroying the other two. The resulting end of the story was Michelle taken captive as a Bondswoman to Mycroft.

Was it her first taste of defeat that made it so bitter? Perhaps she'd beat herself to that. The cost of two clansmen that immediately fulfilled the Trial of Possession in favour of the IS and she was not sent forth in great conflict down as a scout to improve her situational awareness under orders of Mycroft, her newly sworn Master. Her reluctance to undertake the order was overshadowed by her shame. Perhaps if she did have noticed the landmines it wouldn't have been this way. Two clansmen would've survived and it would've saved her pride. She held on to her patience and began to undertake her own Great Work in the process. She endured this trial for two months before finally taking seat back to her repaired 'Mech under the command of Mycroft and her new allies.

Nathaniel Wallace

Pilot Appearance:
Nathaniel is very much a small man, at least compared to the normal military types he serves with nowadays. Standing at five feet and seven inches in height while weighing a measly hundred and forty-eight pounds, Nate is far from the imposing military type one expects to be pilot a ‘mech. With his short, brown hair and very thin stubble of similar color framing a thin face seemingly made more of bone than muscle and skin, Nate is very much the stereotype of a nerdy mechanic. Though, his form is not to be taken for granted as much of his body is muscle from training and he can very well handle a foe of similar size and even a few of greater.

Pilot Name: Nathaniel Brent Wallace

Pilot Age: 26

Pilot Psychological Profile:
”I’ve always looked at those Battlemechs in wonder, the pilots of them in a shining light like one would expect a hero in a story to possess. I knew I was wrong, but the idea of glory and honor are intoxicating and your name being known a wonder to your self-esteem.”

Nate, while not disillusioned towards the reality that being a ‘Mech pilot is a dangerous and taxing job where honor and glory are not common place, seeks to gain some version of glory while maintaining his own version of honor in his life. While kind, one should not expect that Nate is open to everybody or willing to spare the life anybody who kills innocents, or anybody for that matter. He views his own job as a curse and a blessing, protecting those who cannot protect themselves yet having to kill. Even after his few years of piloting, Nate feels out of place and sick knowing he has killed somebody.Though, it is not to be taken as weakness as he often does get caught up in the action, often seeming less like his usual reserved self and a more open and vicious man when in combat.

Nate treats everybody as better than himself, an odd idea when faced with people who treat him as an equal anyways. Extreme optimism is something of a norm for Nate, though it has been known to get on people’s nerves, as he commonly has a view that only the best outcome will happen for the world no matter its current state. He is a man who is near impossible to anger, often apologizing instead when a person starts yelling at him for a mistake or simply to belittle him.

Pilot Experience: Rookie

Pilot Biography:
Born on Solaris VII, Nate was no stranger to the sights of ‘Mechs and often amused of becoming a MechWarrior of his own right. Though, coming from a poor family known more for being mechanics than fighters, he held no real chance at having become a fighter as he wished. Instead, he spent his time by his Father’s side, learning the ins and outs of ‘Mech repair and maintenance and often looking at them and their pilots in wonder. Even having seen the MechWarriors treating him and his Father as nothing more than help, nothing more than the scum who repair their ‘Mechs, Nate saw the Warriors as heroes, aspired to be like them in almost every aspect.

As such, Nate spent his time learning as much about the ‘Mechs as he could possibly cram in between helping his Father and home life in hopes of eventually becoming a member of Lyran Guards who were stationed on Solaris. His dreams, for that was what he knew them to be, were constantly put down by his Family for he had to follow the family business and repair ‘Mechs, not go out and die like an idiot. His grades in schooling were near perfect, though he never really tried much to get a high grade in any of his classes.

It was around the time he turned twenty-two that he had first piloted a ‘Mech, though it was only as a practice pilot for a Warrior in the arena. To say that Nate did even decently would’ve been a stretch, his ‘Mech coming out with many hits which would’ve left his ‘Mech crippled or destroyed. Yet, he was exhilarated with the outcome, it was far better than he had ever expected or be told he could’ve done. It wasn’t long before he become a common scene in training runs of ‘Mechs, though he was often being used solely for the purpose of a free dummy to beat on. He learned from the training, his length in the battles increasing till he could almost hold his own.

That was when he was noticed as a potential Warrior, taking up a small time sponsorship to start in the low ranking Arenas. For the most part, he did well enough to bring back a few wins and some cash for his family. He worked his way up for nearly four years to get into a Class Three Arena, though his time there would be short as his plans changed and the then twenty-six year old left and joined Mycroft’s Marauders through MercNet, a suggestion given to him by a sponsor at the time.
