Hey guys, Lmpkio here once again. It's been awhile since I pitched up for creating a RP, so I might as well explain what I have planned. Some of you may be familiar with the RP named Heroes Rise - An Overwatch Inspired RP, which is a RP I was extremely hyped for, going so far as to helping the GM out with recruitment and suggestions for the players. Both the characters and posts put in the IC were very well detailed and quite enjoyable to read by all members alike. You can take a look by pressing this link.
However, recently some unfortunate news had been released by the GM. He states that the RP will be closed, basically due for him having to force himself to make a post (worse part being just before our first action). It was really unfortunate for this to happen, with quite a few dedicated players (including myself) wanting to continue. However, I especially, along with a few others, would hate to waste such a RP opportunity be flushed down the toilet. So with the GM not minding to use this idea for one of our own RPs, I've decided to toss my hat into the ring to once again become a GM and perhaps reboot the RP.
For those who are new to seeing this RP, here's basically the rules provided from the old site (which I plan to use most, if not all, of the info provided):
The plan is to simply continue from the last point in the RP, basically to continue from the briefing from the leader of the Sentinels and go about on the mission at hand, instead of completely going for a take two. Old players can then get back into the action, and also allow new players to experience action quite quickly in the beginning. The leader, Archangel, will be changed to my design and fitting, being most likely very different from the GM's original version. Will be accepting Co-GM spots right away, and will be picking those who have had experience with such from other RPs. Active people is a must, yaddi yaddi ya, and so on.
I'll also slightly change the CS sheet as well, probably getting rid of the Likes, Dislikes, and Habits n Quirks (they should be included in the personality anyways) if you guys vote on it being deleted from the CS. Optional for older players to keep it, but rather it's simply optional. Newer players aren't required to do this. Also, you won't be restricted to using real-life-looking characters. Anime pics are perfectly fine with me.
Sounds good no?
But I'm not quite finished yet.
You see, I've also been thinking of another version of this RP. It's basically the same thing, but also combining multiversal elements into it. Basically, you can play as a character of video game fiction (movie fictional characters I personally think wouldn't fit as well) and make he/her be part of the group at hand. Pick any character from the video game multiverse, as long as they aren't too strong, or simply nerf them to a reasonable degree at the start (they will get stronger as the RP progresses). The only limit to picking your characters? Simply, don't pick Overwatch characters (because c'mon, let's make this a little more original and diverse huh?). But in regards of storyline, it'll work pretty much the same way as the Heroes Rise RP, but with some new features and possibly locations added in as well.
For example, I plan for it to have different "ranks". Casuals and newcomers will be in their own team ranks, but say the more stronger and more-experienced fighters, the Elites, will be on a higher scale of rank and authority and participate on different, and more dangerous, missions. This was kind of a thing regarding a previous Multiverse RP I had that had command positions and so on. (In case your wondering, that RP failed simply due to heavy Speedposting, along with the idea coming from yet another previous RP I took command of, about warping through one multiverse to the other, which ultimately got confusing and simply not as fun, hence the lack of fun).
So what do I call this then? Multiwatch? Nah, I'll call it Legacy Unit, something a little more original no?
However, I'll be unable to run two RPs at once. I'll have to have you guys vote on this. Either go with the Heroes Rise RP, or go with my original Legacy Unit RP? Once I feel that enough people have voted, I will announce the winner and prepare the winning RP accordingly. Keep in mind, while I can immediately start up Heroes Rise, I'll have to brainstorm a little more with Legacy Unit (help is highly appreciated if you want to) and make a separate interest check later on regarding on the plans for it. Again, this depends on which RP wins. But regardless, it is simply up to you lovely people to choose.
So don't be shy, pick your destiny. I will be happy with either one. :)
