I was going to have the people from the Albany mission return to Lost Haven. Chris will be waiting for them, while Icon should be returning from his encounter with Aurelia. If FacePunch wants Thunderbolt and Boom present at the rendezvous point (i.e. the building that Chris bought), I am more than happy to write them in (or he can make a post after I get my post up).

Captain america does not exist in this setting and never did, nor was there ever any comic book relating to him. She's her own thing.

That is something that has been a subject of some degree of tension. Originally there was to be none of that (at least none of the 'real world' superhero comics) it doesn't make sense after all as this world had its own actual heroes and villains such as Lady Liberty and others from those old days to begin with. Dedonus started doing it though, you may notice that I have always completely avoided it and commented several times over the years that it isn't a thing....

I would also add that nitemareshape has expressed agreement with me on the fact that it cheapens the immersion of a separate world substantially.

At the same time I would note that I don't inherently have issues with comic books and such in the game world but why would there be spider man comics? Why would there be Captain America comics? Why would there be superman?

There should be Icon comics, Lady Liberty comics, ect. Hell I've referenced and so have a few others more self contained universe stuff, like the in universe movie about the Good Doctor and Lady Liberty and the other WW 2 era supers, which was specifically noted to be the latest in a long line of that sort of thing.

@Raptorman You see I kinda agree with you, I suggested the possibility for there to be an in IC Comic House called Night Hound comics. That would publish Heroes as they gained popularity.

And while I don't see the problem with there being Spider Man Comics, I don't think DC or Marvel should be as gigantic as they are in our Universe. We already have Superheroes darting about so they become less fiction and more fact, making them less of an escape from our daily lives. Now a Fantastical Spider Man set in a world of might and magic could be something the average citizens goes for. Placing Superheroes in straight up fantasy settings or high science fiction. That I could see as a more believable approach.

I think Marvel and DC would absolutely exist; they would just be far less popular since they're selling a "fake" version of something people can get every day. I also don't think in-universe comics of this world's contemporary heroes would be terribly popular, either, since they're guilty of the same thing. If I'm an Icon fanboy, maybe I want to read Icon comics, but if I'm just an average Joe who loves Icon then I only care about his real adventures. Comics based on real world heroes probably feel trite and cash-grabby to most people.

EDIT: However, comics of Lady Liberty's WWII adventures? Those I could see being popular, since so much time has passed and those adventures have ascended to legend status.
