Google is cleverer than one would think. Speaking as someone fond of tech and related fields, it is possible to filter such things. It's how Safe Search works. Similar algorithms can be applied to methods used to check on the content of a site using Adsense.

TL:DR

Google can search images, and searching URLs is even easier.

Hue. Google's been scanning images for at least a year now. You can now search by dragging pictures over into the Google Images box! XD

It takes more than just one man to bring down an entire website. Took an entire forum to do that. I'm not that influential.

I think the main point made is maybe a few less extreme pictures. We don't need mutilation pictures: which have come up twice now.

As for the tasteful images: It's a simple case of don't. As much as I'm sure you get a chuckle out of them, other people are forced to see otherwise distasteful images that are not in the slightest bit amusing or funny for others: all whilst becoming a part of the problem that caused Ads to be lost last time.

I'm just trying to politely say don't be stupid with images: this is by no means just you, but it has gone too far a couple times now.

Yeah, while this is to everyone, the majority of the worrisome pictures have been posted by you, Lucy. But I wouldn't want you as my Co-GM if I didn't appreciate your ideas/writing/humor/etc., and I won't go into a big spiel about public opinion and consideration and blah blah, so let's just all please keep from posting offensive images. Hiders are always useful when one wants to keep people from seeing things that might be offensive to them. I don't mind the images Lucius put out (I was just having a bad day and I didn't appreciate the fetish when it presented itself, though I still don't), I just feel the simple solution would have been a hider in which would have been directed to Irish, so that we all knew it wasn't quite tasteful in regards to other people who haven't really known Lucy that well. *Cough*

I draw the line when it borders into 'Saw' territory. I can deal with 'The Walking Dead' and stuff like that, but when we get into 'Repo, The Genetic Opera' and shit, I get queasy as all hell and won't be able to get those images out of my head for a year or two. I'm a pansy when it comes to horror and gore =( but I still like watching them in the moment—it's afterwards that I regret touching anything horror related. I stay up till 6 in the morning and I get to that point where I need to either use the bathroom or get a drink... I bolt from one room to the other until I can get to the safety of a light, and even then I do my best not to look in anything mirror related. If some entity wants to kill me, I'd rather I not see them and it be quick, so it's like, "Oh, maybe there was a robber in my house and not some demon lady ready to devour my soul and shit."

But, Nef hath spoken, so we shall all abide our master lest we want duh whip. I fear Nef's wrath. =(

EDIT: Though, I do think we should also be very careful what we post, in terms of images. One person might not make a difference, but I'd rather not risk getting RPG's funding taken away again. It's okay if we're risking the innocence of certain people's minds, but now we're risking the funding of our site (PUNNY LOL). Mahz had to pay for this out of his pocket prior, and I'm sure he doesn't have all the money in the world to run a website, feed himself, and pay his rent, so if Adsense gets taken, then we don't know how long RPG is going to stay up again.
