Yeah, I'm still here. Sorry that I haven't been posting much over the last few days. I have multiple responsibilities on another site as well, and this weekend was the last debate meet of the season in addition to the Super Bowl (Which I don't watch, but am forced to attend family parties for anyway.).

TL;DR

The last few days have been busy.

But, I should be able to get things regulated again now, so my activity should hopefully rise again. An Alistair post detailing his wakeup in the morning should be up within the next hour or two.

The ice storm knocked out my internet, so I am forced to use some of my phone's data to post this. We should have a different internet provider install their shiznick sometime tomorrow, so expect a post then. For now, I am stuck trying to find something appealing to do, since the computer took up most of my time.

I miss the PC gaming age where one didn't quite need the internet to play the games he/she bought with their (parents') hard earned cash.

here's my upper classman... I'll add a list of his teammates and their semblances along with a team name later.

Age: 20, 3rd year student.

Weapons: Valkou
Nic’s weapon of choice is a custom made long sword that’s edge is a dust actualizer (similar to the palm of Addica’s gloves). This gives his blade the ability to either become super-heated (through the use of red dust) or to become something of a bladed Taser (if used in conjunction with ?yellow? dust). Further Nic’s sword has the ability to transform into a high powered assault rifle capable of firing dust infused rounds and a special self-manufactured round designed by Nic. Further the blade of the sword becomes an extendable bayonet for the rifle. The maximum fire rate of Valkou is 24 rounds a second meaning that it can empty it’s 60 round cartridges in a matter of 2 and half seconds (Nic normally carries 6 additional clips on his belt, one of which is loaded with rounds that are infused with red dust, resulting in an explosive impact. The other rounds are custom made solid yellow dust and an impact based ignition trigger. These rounds are similar to getting hit by 60,000 volts of electricity.)

Equipment:
Armor: C.A.D.S or Cads
C.A.D.S. is short for Condensing Armor Deployment System. Cads name originate from it's original design of central hubs, over the last few years Nic has upgraded it to the point that the name is basically outdated and only kept for sentimental reasons. Now the armor takes the form of a cape when inactive and when activated the armor forms a form-fitting heavy duty armor that covers the entire body (from the neck down including the tops of the hands, but not the fingers as well as the top of the feet). Total armor deployment time averages around 4 seconds, retraction time is slightly longer at 6 seconds.
Despite the form-fittingness of the armor it is incredibly heavy duty and can take large amounts of damage before cracking or breaking.
On a side note this armor system was designed by Nic and is what Addica’s arm guards are based on.

Semblance: Center of Attention
Nic’s semblance attracts the attention of individuals he focuses on (at this point his range is about 30 feet or a little over 9 meters). Not only does it draw their focus but he can use it to draw attacks towards him as well as ranged projectiles, this can even go as far as defying physics and forcing a bullet to curve it’s path so as to head towards him rather than an ally.
As such Nic’s semblance was nearly useless in prep school where all training and bouts were done in one on one fights. As such he had to relay completely on his own natural skill and ability. Having no usable combat semblance Nic placed 47th in combat out of his graduating class of 243, barely making the top 50.
Outside of combat though Nic found that his semblance was useful for drawing teachers’ attention in class, making him a natural favorite of teachers. Or drawing attention away from his friends so that they didn’t get into trouble. Ultimately though he was able to use it to get in with the right people and to help make him a show in to Beacon. Once he got to Beacon he used his semblance to quickly make new friends.
Note this does not change the temperament of those whose attention he attracts.

Hobbies: Nic’s primary hobby is weapon and armor design. He also enjoys spending time with his friends and team. Nic also enjoys cooking.

Nic was born the heir to Nystrom Defense Contracting, one of the top defense contracting firms in all of Vytal. His childhood was filled with learning of different languages, proper etiquette, musical instruments and lessons about business. None of this really appealed to Nic and it was only when his Uncle Gerhart Nystrom, the younger brother of his father, came home from hunting grimm that Nic became truly excited. So it was no shock to any of the family that when Gerhart was killed in action by a grimm that Nic took it harder than anyone else. Nic decided shortly after that he wanted to be a hunter like his uncle, and have his own tales of glory. Even if it meant dying young as his uncle had. So two short years later at the age of 12 he told his parents of his plans. They both immediately shut him down and told him that he would not be attending any of the numerous hunter preparatory school rather he was going to attend an academy devoted to academics. His parents had their reasons, namely that Nic was the sole heir to the Nystrom family and secondly that they didn’t want him dying like his uncle had. They wanted a full life for their son.
Nic being only 12 did not understand these reasons nor would he have cared had he been capable of understanding. As soon as his parents denied him the permission to become a hunter Nic began forging the documents that would allow his admission into Lantern Academy, one of the lesser known academies in Vale. He used the false name Nicholas Gearhart and using his allowance had fake ID and everything else made for him. Upon his acceptance he planned his escape. In the middle of the night he gathered all his money (little over 500 lien) as well as extra clothes and the final piece, the key to his uncle’s apartment, which the family still owned and had not been touched since his death. Although no one paid the utilities for the apartment anymore so Nic would have to deal with no water, electricity or heat. Other than having a roof over his head it was basically a homeless existence that Nic was looking forward to as he attended Lantern. He arrived in Vale almost 6 month before Lantern’s classes started, it was one afternoon well he was walking through the streets that he saw a group of guys beating two younger children, grabbing a pipe off the ground of the alley Nic attacked one of them causing the others to run. As the children thanked him and introduced themselves and explained their circumstances to him he couldn’t help but feeling selfish as neither of them had parents. So he decided to adapt his story to make himself fit in with them better, telling them that his parents were dead and that they (not his uncle) had been the hunters that had inspired him to become one himself. He also stretched the 6 months of his leaving alone and “homeless” to a 6 years. He let the two crash in the apartment he was squatting in and the three soon became friends. He then convinced them both to also attend Lantern, and much to all’s surprise both managed to get in. They spent the year together but the year’s close brought Nic’s graduation and his acceptance into Beacon. As well as a pledge from Addica and Bree to meet him there in 3 years.
Nic left shortly before he had to for Beacon to go home to his parents, he may have made it through Lantern without them but he didn’t have the money to attend Beacon on his own. Arriving home he found out that his father had passed away. His mother gave him a letter that his father had left for him. The letter told Nic that his father had accepted his choice of becoming a hunter although he was still leaving the company in Nic’s hands. In his absence Nic’s mother had been running the company and she agreed to keep running it and to finance his schooling on the condition that when he graduated he would personally run the company. Nic agreed but knew that he would eventually leaving the company in the hands of a board of trustees.
Arriving at Beacon Nic made it through the entrance exam and team placement for finding out about Bree’s death. Nic blamed himself for her death thinking that if he hadn’t left early to visit his parent he could have been there to save her. Despite depression at the beginning of the year Nic managed to become team leader and has since led a successful team. He also began sending Addica money under the guise that he had a part time job (which he has never had), this money is what helped to fund Addica’s weapon, armor and the purchase of his phone.
Personality: Nic is a strong and confidant leader. He radiates confidence and is willing die to protect his teammates as he as shown on many occasions. Nic is incredibly smart and kind but he as a serious side that he only lets out when the situation demands it. His teammates are some of the few that have seen this serious side with any frequency.

Appearance: Nic has neck length blonde hair and blue eyes, on the streets he wore whatever he could afford now days he wears a much nicer attire that is almost always semi-formal, which he accents with a heavy black cloak with gold dream.

I don't think anything but a chain gun can fire that fast without exploding. Also, I'm not entirely sure if 60,000 volts is a lot or completely useless, so maybe putting it in amps would be better. Since those are what matter. :p

I know that is way more than enough to kill a person. at least 3 or more times over.

I'm almost certain that voltage is totally non-fatal and non-damaging, but I'm not an electrician sooo. :p

I will say however, generating 3,600,000 volts of electricity within 2.5 seconds via long range bullet barrage is probably pretty overkill, even for dust.

I'd assume 3,600,000 would be more than enough. 60k might cut it too, but if a 9volt has enough, then idk. Fucking Edison laws and shit.

I mean... I guess it's not too bad. I think compared to the average bullet, being struck by a taser bullet probably isn't too bad. Especially in a world where dodging bullets is something Beacon freshmen can do. It's more the fire rate and the fact he can have 60 explosions out in under 3 seconds that makes it too much. That's like, leveling a house before people react to the first 'bang'.
