Personality: Born of Lord Forrester, his only son and heir, Howland Forrester was tutored to be a lord, honorable, kind, and just, he still carries these traits.
Howland is a brave and stubborn lad, often too stubborn to run when faced with a bad situation, to temper this, he listens very well to orders.
He is kind, charitable, and zealous, considering the feeling that one gets from helping others to be greater than the one than he gets from the coin in his pocket.
He has green dreams, and is a warg, often getting drunk in an attempt to overpower the dreams, his companion, a snow cat which he calls "Unfrey", because she disemboweled a Frey recruit for attempting a coup, is the only animal he can warg into, and he cannot even control when it happens.
Bio: Howland Forrester was born to Lord Warren Forrester, as his lat child, and only son. From birth, Howland was expected to hold Ironwrath, and was tutored by his father, a famed warrior, in the art of sword and diplomacy.
However, as he aged, Howland felt like there was too much pressure put on him, his sisters, the only people he felt he could confide in, left to be married, one by one, until he was alone.
It was not a very good environment for young Howland.
He spiraled into depression and hedonism, becoming known as Howland the purple due to the wine stains that often appeared on his shirts. His father finally gave up on Howland, himself becoming more and more stressed with the situation.
Lord Forrester perished on his fourtieth nameday, found slumped over his desk, a quill still in hand, with a small pile of completed letters, and a much larger pile of received letters.
As a result, Howland was thrust into a Lordship, becoming more and more angered with his lot in life.
Eventually during one of his drunken stupors, he raped one of the court Septas, she later died due to accidental wounds caused by this. He was captured by lord Stark, gelded, and sent to the wall, his uncle becoming the new lord of Ironrath.
The loss of his manhood left Howland feeling somewhat bitter towards the Starks, and he soon collapsed back into drunkenness, more and more known by his nickname.
Howland was eventually given First Ranger status by Tyron Lannister due to his skill with blade and with following orders. This led Howland to ease up on his hedonistic lifestyle, but not by much.
Eventually he began to experience green dreams, and he bonded with a snow cat as his companion, Tyron wasn't pleased by this, as he assumed that Howland might a fled to the wildlings, but he never did, and still serves faithfully.
"The Stranger will enjoy the sacrifice I make of you."
Name: Daenys Targaryen
Age: 30
Heir: Aerys Targaryen
Personality: Ruthless, ambitious, and cruel, Daenys Targaryen is among the most hated men in the Seven Kingdoms. It is often said that when a Targaryen is born, the seven flip a coin to see whether they'd be great, or insane, Daenys is the latter.
Daenys is prideful in his appearence, avoiding battle to not hurt his "Beauty". He is so prideful that he considers the rest of the world sinful for not conforming to his standards. He is a patron of the arts, a skilled singer and songwriter, and enjoys fine poetry, considering himself a hero of the kind seen in poetry, such as Aegon the Sixth.
Daenys hates his family, considering one half sinful and the other stupid, his brother falling into the latter category. Daenys has no friends, if you think he's your friend, run.
Daenys is Homosexual, though he has never found a man who meets his very high standards, though he does seem to look at Lord Tyrell in an odd way.
Biography: Born a Paternal twin of Aegon the Tenth, Daenys was always strange, dressing like a girl and singing about how he wanted a handsome prince to rescue him from his responsibility.
Of course, his father, Aegon the Ninth was not having any of that, not because he was ashamed of his son, he loved all his children, but because he was worried that he would not be able to have children, and it was a necessity to continue the dynasty. So Aegon exposed his son to beautiful women, who waited on his every need. Daenys ignored them. His father brought in disgusting male peasants, wrought with plague and suffering, saying that this is what would happen if he was gay, Daenys responded simply; "I'd rather die plague-ridden surrounded by the men I love, then normal and surrounded by women I hate." Angrily, Aegon told his son that he'd love whoever the seven wanted him to love, betrothing him to Lady Baratheon.
Daenys didn't care, he knew he'd just see others behind her back, he'd already been tutored in secret by the master of whisperers from a young age, and he knew the roads least traveled, where someone could have an amorous relationship in secret, or disappear like Petyr Baelish. Reading the books of Varys, Hand of Aegon the Sixth, also aided with this.
By the time he came of age, Daenys was a master intriguer, and meddling swordsman. Daenys often hid himself among his brother's guards, only revealing himself when alone with his brother in his chambers. Due to his skill, he was declared Master of Whispers.
Despite all evidence to the contrary, Daenys' wife gave birth to a son, however, after his birth, Lady Baratheon disappeared, Daenys stated that she died in childbirth, while Aegon suggested otherwise. During his last day on earth, he stated to his master of coin that he had found an answer, and then never woke up.
After Aegon's death, Daenys was a shoe-in to inherit, however, on Aegon's will, was found a section stating that Daenys was not to inherit no matter what. Daenys wasn't found at court the next day, neither was the Queen Dowager. A day later, her head in a box was mailed to Lord Tyrell, with a note attached. "You're all next."
Claim To The Throne: Brother to the king.
Appearance:
Name: Aerys Targaryen
Age: 13
Personality: Aerys has never been shown to the kingdom at large since his birth, and many doubt he is still alive.
Biography: Born to Daenys Targaryen, Aerys Targaryen was proof that Daenys' marriage was fruitful, and his birth was celebrated with a tourney. However, after the tourney, no further sign of Aerys has been seen.
"House Tyrell didn't give us anything but our well-being, House Tarly would have given you war and dragonflame."
Age: 49
Heir: Falwell "Flowerborn" Tarly
Personality: Belgrave is ruthless, it seems to be his only character trait in the minds of the common folk, who fear and hate his men, though Belgrave is respected amongst highborn lordlings and those of higher status to him. Belgrave's ruthlessness is overstated, he is ruthlessly pragmatic and self-serving, doing all it takes to improve the standing of his lord or himself.
To those who know him, Belgrave is stern but soft, an overbearing father, but a good trainer and doting when it comes to his daughters. He is kind when happy and quick to punish when not, but due to his age he often treats other younger lords the same as his sons.
He cares little for diplomacy, but he understands subtext in words and is good at reading subtle cues, just don't expect him to keep a secret. He is quiet and stoic, but when riled, he is foul-mouthed and blunt, never mincing words.
His fatal flaw is underconfidence, often not acting due to an imagined inferiority in his plots and tactics, remaining taciturn when he has an idea which could change a war. This passed on to his first son, leading to his death at King's Landing.
As a result of the death of his firstborn, Belgrave is much more protective of his children than ever, recalling his widowed daughter and her family to his care. He seeks revenge on the Crakehall family for the death of Torwin.
Belgrave married a northern woman, and her influence can be seen in his firstborn's name and his stoic demeanor, much more pronounced after her marriage to him. He was never a fan of his wife, sleeping around and legitimizing his bastard Falwell, making him heir above her trueborn daughter.
Biography: Belgrave Tarly was born the second son of his father Horas, raised to be the more martial of Horas' two sons, trained heavily with bow and horse, becoming famed at a grand tourney for entering the archery competition and taking the winner's purse at the young age of fifteen.
Belgrave was raised little by his father outside martial matters, and his mother died when he was young, so Belgrave spent his time wandering his father's lands, seeing the Master-of-horse as his father more than his actual father. This Master-of-horse was later raised to nobility by Belgrave and given a small dock outside Horn Hill, named Willit Dox and given a lobster as his sigil.
Belgrave's brother Pylos was raised as a leader, though only succeeded at managing to be a good administrator, lacking the respect of his vassals and being slain in a coup. Belgrave managed to kill the leader, Ser Hugh Hunt, in battle, hanging the rest of the captured men and refusing to pardon the others, who had turned to banditry.
After a time of serving as lord with little distinction other than his wealth from his earlier tourney wins, he joined Lord Tyrell's household as the Master-at-arms, tutoring Lord Garland in swordsmanship, though he quickly grew tired of intriguing and returned home.
Belgrave slowly stopped leaving the castle, even for hunts, his preferred pastime, acting through his son Torwin, who served at King's Landing, and was slain by a skilled spearman. Belgrave has recalled his daughter and her children by Lord Redwyne, leaving the man himself alone, and has sworn bloody vengeance against the Crakehalls, leaving his castle finally to rejoin his lord's service.
"Words are for fools who lack the will to fight, it is known."
Age: 17
Religion: Faith of the Seven (non-practicing)
Personality: Horn Hill has a fair share of bastards roaming it's halls, some bitter and some accepting, many have done horrid acts during wartime, or done songworthy feats in peacetime.
And yet, all that they talk about is the quiet and foreboding Falwell Tarly, born Flowers.
At a very tall six foot five, Falwell's cold visage towers over even his own father, despite his size, it is stated that Falwell could sneak into any young maiden's room and impregnate her without any in her home awaking, so silent is he.
At the young age of seven-and-ten, Falwell is already a father, already a killer, and already a rapist.
Falwell never smiles, he lumbers silently from place to place, and his voice is without any emotion, he only shows interest in fighting, though seemingly out of self-preservation and not any enjoyment, and raping, which he does hysterically and with reckless abandon.
The young heir is already hated amongst the smallfolk for his misdeeds, though highborn nobles respect his courtly and polite demeanor when speaking with them.
In private, Falwell is an insecure and emotionally-ravaged young man, numb to his own actions and unfeeling, he fears himself and his inability to truly emote, seeing himself as not but a stone carving of a man. He continues to do worse and worse acts in an attempt to feel sadness or sympathy for those he murders and tortures, instead he only feels worse about himself, and is teetering dangerously close to crossing the threshold into being willing to take his own life.
The truth is, few would miss him.
Biography: Falwell Flowers was born to a Dornish wetnurse who had been captured in one of Belgrave's southern raids. His father acknowledged his birth, but left him to his own devices, leaving Falwell's mother in the dungeons over one particularly harsh winter, sending the babe and a sworn shield from the Hunt family to one of the settlements deep in the Rosewood.
The winter lasted two years, and by the end, Falwell's mother had starved to death, and the village the young Falwell had been sent to had been left all but barren, he and his sworn shield surviving by hunting wild elk in the Rosewood and boiling snow to drink as water.
The end of winter brought folks to return to their hovels in the wood and leave Horn Hill's large castle town. Falwell and his sworn man remained in the wood, not leaving for months and months, never even being seen.
Belgrave Tarly however, knew that his bastard was alive despite all evidence to the contrary, the sword sword sending him letter after letter about the development of his child, and upon Torwin's death, Lord Belgrave woefully legitimized this unknown bastard, bringing him to Horn Hill to serve as heir.
Personality: Gris is everything one would expect from a scientist gone wrong. He's obsessive, agoraphobic, and short tempered. He spends his nights dreaming about a future of enlightenment, and his days cooped up in his laboratory trying to turn those dreams into reality.
Gris controls Storm's End, but loathes his position, saying it's a distraction from his discoveries. Usually, he makes executive decisions in his laboratory, with his elder sister Alyssa making them public, or more commonly, Alyssa would do the ruling while he would continue his work.
Gris simply doesn't like people. He never sees his banner men, often using Alyssa as his pseudo-messenger. He locks himself in his lab, and may the Gods save you if you attempt to barge in. The last time someone tried that, he just tossed what was in his hands at the time, a bottle of potent alchemist fire, forcefully at the poor maid. She died horribly, burning down to her bones. There were two exceptions to this rule. His family, and the late Aegon.
Bio: Gris was born to a strong willed warrior of a father and an even stronger willed mother. They both held their family's motto as the highest ideal. "Ours is the fury" they would say to him every day. "All this, my son, will soon be yours, and when we die - which we will, you must show the world the Baratheon might in our stead." Gris never listened. He instead devoted time to reading the works of the old Maester's medicine logs or the ancient records of the Targaryen pyromancers. So when the position of "Lord of Storm's End" was suddenly thrust upon him, he was horridly unprepared.
The dreams began at around 8 years old. He dreamed of large round objects, flying in the sky with nothing suspending it from above and nothing supporting it from below. He dreamed of steel tubes, which erupted fire from the end, destroying castles with ease. He dreamed of a time when strength was an archaic concept, and the most respected attribute was wisdom. He would tell his parents of this, but they would brush him off, saying how silly he was, and how he should go outside once in a while and play with the training swords that daddy got him.
His father died when Gris was only 23. He charged valiantly to crush the rioting in his cities, despite the protests of his family and council, saying "I must go myself. The warriors will be inspired by my presence." And they were inspired, right up to the point one of the peasant rebels tossed a pitchfork that pierced his neck. Gris's mother was heartbroken, and soon grew weak and sick. She now stays in her chambers, awaiting death, refusing to see the Maester for medical help.
Appearance: Despite being a scientist, Gris has the blood of generations of knights within him. He stands tall and broad shouldered, towering over most of the people he meets. However, sitting alone for hours on end have not been kind to him. He is constantly hunched over, never to stand at full height again. One of his eyes took the brunt of a terrible blow from an explosion in his lab, and is white at the pupil while the other is the healthy black of his lineage.
Name: Alyssa Baratheon
Age: 32
Personality: Alyssa is a clear descendant of her parents. Not only for her appearance, but her spirit shows the strength and fury of the Baratheon stag. She demands respect wherever she goes, and doesn't take any shit from anyone, especially people who think they are her equals or superiors.
Even at the young and tender age of 6, her parents saw the perfect heir. She listened closely to whatever her parents said, taking their philosophies to heart. She listened as her father taught strategy, and listened as her mother taught diplomacy. She did a lot of listening.
Alyssa doesn't like her brother. He fancies himself a thinker, but he is in reality a madman. Alyssa hates the arrangement that the son must take the throne, no matter how qualified the daughter before him is. However, no matter how much he claims otherwise, her brother needs her. She knows it, and despite her dislike for him, she does what is necessary to perpetuate the Baratheon name. "Family first" and all that.
Bio: Alyssa was firstborn to the Baratheon family, and shows it quite clearly. In her early days, her father and mother tried to teach her everything they knew about maintaining their rule upon their lands. Her father even taught her how to fight with sword and armor. "Nonsense," Her father would say to anyone arguing that ladies should stay in the castle. "My daughter is just as able to cleave through a knight as any boy her age."
When she was 7, another child was born into the house. And to her dismay, it was a boy. Suddenly, her dreams of becoming the Lady of Storm's End were crushed. She could see that he was a weak baby. She knew, because her mother, that healthy babies cried, but little Gris barely ever made any noise. Not even when she once prod him with her training sword.
Appearance: Alyssa, like her parents and brother, was tall and wide, as is common with Baratheons. However, unlike her brother, who is hunched over so that he's almost normal height, Alyssa had a stronger back, and could stand straight, looking down at most of the knights in Storm's End. She has a few scars on her, from sparring accidents and once even a battle, but she never heard the end of it from her mother about the battle, and neither did her father.
Name: Rimm 'the bull-dog' Bolton
Age: 19
Personality: Rimm is on the outside a very calm person. When at formal events, he speaks quietly, casually jokes with a small smile, and even when he is insulted, chuckles along lightly. He is the epitome of the kind and dashing gentleman, very different from his predecessors, as the courtiers would whisper.
He serves his liege the Starks faithfully in the Bolton's new task. Once again, under the yoke of Winterfell, the Boltons were pressed into giving up their task as flayers, but have taken to execution with gusto. Now, sending criminals to the Boltons do not carry the weight they once did, yet they are feared the same. And that's just fine with Rimm.
Rimm, unlike his ancestors, is no traitor. He is fiercely loyal to the Starks, and most of his prisoners are Stark traitors in his eyes. Even peasants who slander the Stark name to their friends in a pub one night are often secretly bundled off in the night, and brought to the Dreadfort. He likes to think of himself as the guardian of the Starks, and has foiled more than one attempt on their lives.
Bio: Rimm comes from the Bolton line, a descendant of Ergan Bolton, a distant cousin of Roose's who claimed the Dreadfort after the death of Ramsay. One day, when he was twelve, his father gave him something he greatly desired. Rimm was given power. Power over the dog pen, where he oversaw the feeding, birthing, and dying. Rimm loved power. Sometimes, when one dog goes rabid, he would have to finish off the poor thing, and that gave him his favorite power, the one over life and death. He would bring the dog into a world of misery with his blade, slitting the throat only seconds before the thing was about to die anyways.
During this time, he was great friends with the Stark children. They would play when his father had to attend his liege. There was one particular one, the youngest Stark girl. He rather fancied her.
Soon, at fifteen, he discovered a plot. His father was planning to overthrow the Starks and place himself in power. His plan, of course, was to get into a position in which he was the greatest friend and advisor for his liege, then when he is placed behind all the children in inheritance, kill them all. "Will you kill them all, father?" he had asked. "Even all of the children?". His father had said yes. As a direct consequence, he had died. Cut by the blade of Promise, wielded by Rimm himself.
Appearance: Rimm was a small man. He stood only at the shoulder of most people, and is deathly pale and thin. Some say that if the wind blew too hard, he would snap in half. Those people disappear in the night. He had a young, open face. People who don't know him would even call him innocent. He was almost never without a friendly smirk painted across his face, and his eyes always suggested that he knew things that others didn't, and wasn't about to reveal them anytime soon.
Boberto - A joker who doesn't take his job seriously, Boberto is quite an interesting figure. He often says annoying things and is almost overenthusiastic about fighting, but he hides a darker past. He was once a fighter in the pits of Meereen under the name Arillos. He demonstrated his ability in the pits to Westerosi buyers (specifically, Lord Kyle Baratheon, second of his name), and has since then served as a member of the elite Stormguard.
Luftum - A tall, serious fellow, Luftum is the type of person people don't want to mess with. He doesn't speak, which unnerves people until they discover his cut tongue and removed teeth. Luftum serves as the unofficial leader of the Stormguards, despite not being able to say a word. Rumors about him say that he's descended from a smaller noble family, and he neither confirms nor denies it (not that he would be able to even if he wanted).
Sreas - The most off putting thing about Sreas is his smile. It's not a very odd smile in and of itself, but he's always wearing it. Even in the midst of combat, he would treat his enemies on the battlefield with a grin. The second most curious thing about him is his boots. Unlike the steel boots of many armoured knights, his is thick leather and wool, masking any noise. No one knows why he wears them, but it's suspected that he's the reason low level officers of the people's rebellion seem to die like flies late at night.
Norman - Commander of the Storm's End garrison's cavalry division. Died to a swarm of angry peasants.
Wallace - High Commander of the Storm's end garrison.
Baelys "Targaryen" - He's a Targaryen claimant and that's all you need to know.

House Tully is the ruling house of The Trident— also known as The Riverlands whom hold their seat at Riverrun. The current ruling lord of the house is Riaon Tully, the third son of Draedon Tully, and a veteran of various insular conflicts involving the Trident including The War of the Four Swords which lasted between the years of 434 and 437.
[ ߜ ] M I L I T A R Y S T R E N G T H
The strength of The Trident is significant and in the one-hundred and fifty years since the return of House Targaryen to Westeros. It is no small question that the people under House Tully had suffered much and under strong leadership through his line would they see prosperity through confidence. These renovations have included renovations to the military structure, several strongholds including the legendary seat known as The Oldstones, refinement of a naval fleet, and strengthening of the economic fold. Whilst relationships with other members of the Seven Kingdoms have been cautious due to the ramifications of alliances, where The Trident lacks in political power they hold in their personal strength including military and economic strength— though they are certainly not the strongest in either of those areas they are nonetheless valuable as allies and members under the Iron Throne.
The strength of The Trident is roughly 45,000 - 50,000 swords, likely comparable to a lesser extent to The Reach. Unfortunately, the strong personalities of the river lords lead to fractious divisions as much is clear as rivalries’ and contentment’s still exist today. It is said that two of the major houses, the Brackens and Blackwoods, could easily cause issue and historically have caused problems helping to paralyze the region. The ratio of foot-to-horse is likely fairly high, standing ar around 3-to-1. Houses on the major rivers will have barges, galleys, and skiffs while the masters of Seagard, Maidenpool, and other port holdings own a fair amount of major ships for coastal defense.
The major contributions to naval strength is House Mallister, House Mooton, and House Cox; with major reinforcements by House Tully and others in last fifty years. Additionally, the Trident hosts some of the finest archers in Westeros that hail north from Dorne— a tradition that was rigidly re-introduced to The Trident during the reign of Edmyn II Tully.

The Iron Throne The Trident has had little-to-no interactions with The Iron Thrown & The Crownlands of note.
Dorne The Trident has had little-to-no interactions with Dorne of note.
Iron Islands The friction between The Trident and the Iron Islands has not changed— though certain amicable agreements have been made during the reign of the former Master of Coin of The Iron Throne, Alford Tully, that resulted in an uneasy peace between the Ironborn and the Rivermen. However, such agreements have since been repealed and House Tully was a significant factor of the deposing of House Greyjoy from power.
The North The Trident has a strong relationship with The North, as they have had since the times of Eddard Stark— though not without circumstantial difficulties and challenges since. The current ties with The North through Ethan Stark are around a decade or so years old; an alliance through marriage that was solidified following the conclusion of The War of the Four Swords which House Stark supported House Tully in.
The Reach The Trident has had little-to-no interactions with The Reach of note.
The Stormlands The Trident has had little-to-no interactions with The Stormlands of note.
The Vale Generally considered close allies of The Vale, The Trident continues this tradition with the prospect in mind that if both regions worked together they could assert their security as members of the Seven Kingdoms without fear of tyranny. Marriage alliances are commonplace and both Lord Paramounts often are close in confidence with one another about their concerns.
The Westerlands Following the events during Cersei Lannister’s influence, the relationship with The Trident and the Westerlands have been dubious at best. Even with the deposing of the Lannister’s from control of the Westerland most Lord Paramounts of the Trident have stringently avoided marriage alliances or optional trade agreements whenever possible. There have been attempts to mend these ties but none have been particularly successful.

The Haigh Rebellion (390 – 398) A rebellion initiated by House Haigh, the then ruling house of The Twins— the infamous stronghold that hosted the Red Wedding.
As if continuing the history of greed and envy of House Frey, Lord Barrian Haigh began a campaign of preposterous boldness where he believed the Lord Paramount was a weak and indecisive ruler so much that he would let Barrian do whatever he wanted. This was brought on by Alford Tully’s policies on the Ironborn as he used 1/8th of the realm’s economy as a bribe to remove possibility of Ironborn raids or invasion as possibilities. The policy was rather unpopular but was believed to be a means to an end. Barrian, however, was no fool or obvious traitor until well into the year of 390 considering he had spent two decades building a network of intrigue with developments of spies, hireswords, and even ships. This was, in part, due to the fact that his brother, Kylian Haigh, was high-ranking member of the Trident’s northern naval forces and his other brother, Bryer Haigh, was a hiresword who left Westeros for Essos several years prior.
When Haigh struck, he struck hard— and he struck House Mallister from the inside of their city. But he was careless and a few principal members he had not indoctrinated or killed from House Mallister escaped. Two of which being Arthas Mallister who immediately contacted the Lord Paramount of the Trident, Kavvin Tully, as well as his cousin who was the commander of the entire navy, Drevyn Mallister. The War of the Haigh Rebellion had begun.
■ House Haigh loses ownership of The Twins and surviving members are stripped of their claims before being sent to The Wall or being married off into minor houses.
■ House Erenford, due to their support for House Tully, is given ownership of The Twins.
■ House Charlton is reprimanded severely, but knowing they were following House Haigh due to their duty are not subjected to harsh punishments like House Haigh.
The War of the Four Swords (434 – 437) An internal war in The Trident to some perspectives was inevitable.
Prior to 436, it had been several decades since the restoration of the ancient capital seat that was previously known as The Oldstones by House Tully— of which created the precedent that most people associate with the beginning of the war but maesters and other scholars of recent note will strictly suggest that it was simply a convenient symbol to gravitate towards for several generations of upset. The truth was that the renovation of The Oldstones was just a call to arms for several individuals including the likes of Romarn Mudd. Draedon Tully refused to allow their aspirations and ambitions to throw the Trident into chaos.
Romarn Mudd was a originally a noble from a lesser house in the southwestern provinces who claimed he was a descendent of the original and rightful holder of The Oldstones and by proxy the entirety of The Trident as well. He was surprisingly well supported by smallfolk and other lesser nobles of note that identified with Romarn’s claims and in part due to their lack of faith and confidence in that House Tully were taking to mind their interests at heart. Of the major houses only one of them supported their claim— House Vance.
Taking place initially during an outbreak of sorts, it was difficult for House Tully to secure three ambitious threats immediately. The earliest battles of the war took place around contending with Romarn Mudd and Kaegan Vance; the former being far more of a threat than anticipated due to his tactical brilliance as well as his sheer charisma that brought people to his side. But a few months after the first strike near The Oldstones, the first significant loss in Braedon’s son, Roderic Tully, when the young lord’s transportation of supplies and reinforcement were attacked by an ambushing force led by Kaegan Vance. The majority of the reinforcements were scattered and the damage was already met. A soldier who survived identified House Vance’s figurehead as an enemy and it was then that House Tully realized they were dealing with someone who had infiltrated his vassals.
Later, after Romarn had taken The Oldstones from Braedon’s younger brother, the Lord Paramount of the Trident decided it was time to centralize his main forces and march himself. He left a steady force garrisoned in Riverrun as Lancion Blackwood and Melvan Darry took to reinforcing the southern territories against the lesser houses that had rose their flags to support Romarn. However, this strike was anticipated by Romarn and he had left watch over The Oldstones to Kaegan Vance and his minor forces whilst he snuck through the wooded rivers to siege Riverrun whilst the Lord Paramount and the majority of his army was away to Oldstone. The Battle of Riverrun would be bloody and vicious; it would be the battle that took the life of Braedon’s heir, Vorian Tully— it would also be the showcase for the talents of Riaon Tully and Cathryn Tully, who were only fourteen years past their nameday at the time.
Riverrun would’ve been a critical victory for Romarn had not for the intervention of a coalition of forces led by Edmure Piper and Hugar Bracken from the south and Ethan Stark from the north.
The war would continue to be a back-and-forth until Romarn Mudd’s capture in 439 AC after his defeat against one-on-one combat with Ethan Stark. His fate would be a sentence to The Night's Watch despite Braedon's desire for vengeance and retribution he knew he had to be a just lord.
■ Romarn Mudd and all of his surviving allies are sent to The Wall.
■ House Vance is subjected to severe punishment for their crimes and their seat is given to those in the secondary branch of the house who did not participate or align with Romarn Mudd.
■ The majority of minor houses (Bigglestone, Butterwell, Grell, etc.) are disbanded by the Lord Paramount and their holdings are given to newer loyal houses.
Blood Runs Over Westeros (450- ) The Trident has remained neutral following the majority of events that have transpired. Their lack of decision has been questioned but with several significant members of House Tully in King’s Landing it is believed that political waves will be put in motion quite soon if Lord Paramount Riaon Tully does not budge.

Riaon abides by the laws of Knighthood and Lordship, reflecting on his education as a squire and heir to House Tully’s stronghold and lands. However, as learned as Riaon is he is far more irascible than his father before him which is evident by the lively temperament that lies beneath his “armor” of manners, respect, and learning. As such had earned him childhood nicknames by his sister as well as his father’s own concerns about Riaon’s abilities to focus through hardship or obstacle. Despite such beliefs ringing true about Riaon’s anger and reactions that follow, Riaon utilizes his fury well in combat scenarios— for example, whilst other knights are blinded by their rage on the battlefield Riaon knows how to direct it to power through difficult opponents; claiming his anger and zeal gives himself “clarity” not “disability”.
His anger aside, Riaon proves to be a skilled knight although his capacity as a commander has yet to be seen due to the lack of a large scale war striking the Riverlands. Though given his experience, confidence, and aura it wouldn’t be a far stretch to believe that Riaon has the potential to be a capable commander. With that said there lies more personality faults in the line with v, believing delicacies and “dancing with words” to be pointless he tends to take a more blunt and direct approach with words which can result in various consequences depending on the situation. Still though, v won’t be outwardly rude as he not only knows etiquette but also doesn’t believe belittling others proves much use on or off the battlefield; after all he had fought with squires and smallfolk alike during his dealings with the Ironborn which had weathered whatever snobbish preconceptions he had gained due to his upbringing as one of the lower nobility.
Whilst he isn’t condescending towards those that would be seen as lesser towards him, Riaon is proud of his station and his ancestry. Going back to the only academics he ever cared for, Ancient History, Riaon identifies as Riverlander (or Riverman) and finds trouble enjoying the fact Southern and Northern lords have claimed ownership of his people for centuries; a fact he considered culturally suffocating. His discontent includes that of anyone that abused his ancestors whether they were descended from Valyrian, Ironborn, or whoever. He finds it infuriating that the men of the Rivers have not truly ruled themselves in such a long time.
[ ߜ ] A T T R I B U T E S
Crude Politician Despite being the son of a Lord, Riaon’s aptitude for intrigue and diplomacy are average at best. This can be due to his guardian’s focus on training him as a knight and the only intellectual studies Riaon cares for being historical and military in nature.
Cultural Pride For various reasons Riaon is partial to being mildly xenophobic due to a strong sense of cultural pride and identity. He dislikes those descended from Ironborn and Valyrian descent the most and is more prone to ignore their opinions or be irritated by their presence causing his perception to be muddied.
Experienced Knight Despite his young age, through his efforts as Knight-Captain and his experiences, Riaon is a skilled knight though to what capacity in comparison to others is unknown. Due to this he is competent with swordplay, horses, basic tactics, and so forth.
Resilient Riaon has a strong mind and body despite any emotional problems he may have. He can be tricked, but is generally set in being able to withstand with his values and direction; his body has been trained to withstand the weight of armor and the pains of war.
Temperament Despite his resilience, Riaon has a bad habit of letting his anger and zealous nature to guide his actions and it is said that getting him in this sort of mood is not difficult.
[ ߜ ] B I O G R A P H Y
Riaon Tully is the son of Lord Draedon Tully and Lady Lysandra Vypren, birthed around 420 AC.
Riaon’s father arranged for his son’s (and his daughter, Cathryn’s as well) guardianship under Ser Damon Paege; hoping that his son would gather wisdom underneath the renowned knight and tactician. This however was poorly timed as it was only a few years before the horns of the uprising of Romarn Mudd rung out. Still, the nearly fourteen-year old ward followed his guardian without question.
In time and through dutiful service as a squire, Damon was risen to knighthood for his diligence during events of the uprising as well as combat experiences that were to follow— particularly in a devastating reaving of Seagard. This had been his first real experience with the Ironborn outside of the texts that Riaon had read throughout his childhood upon his education regarding the history of the lands of the Trident and the Ironborn’s tyrannical reach that only ended when Valyrians dawned upon Westeros atop dragons. Perhaps it was Riaon’s anger or zeal that made him fight hardily against the Ironborn that descended upon Seagard, but in the end he was recognized of his worth in battle beyond the simple capacities of a squire. A fact that House Mallister’s lord noted about the young man. But the problems against the Ironborn were far from over, a fact that was clear as Riaon looked west beyond the sea.
On one such occasion, his sickly father requested his presence for an “important matter”— a matter that would be the courting of his future wife, Trysta Erenford. A courting that seemed to be successful in strengthening the bonds between Erenford and Tully, and Trysta and Riaon. Perhaps it was the comfort of returning home, the childhood attraction they held, or the tension lightening after the end of the fighting he had been dealing with but Riaon felt at ease, at least for a time. Following his betrothal, staying in Riverrun seemed to be of an interest to him, and one he eventually felt compelled to maintain. He was home.
Years later, following the resignation of the former Guard Captain & Commander of Riverrun it came to the point where Riaon had requested a more active responsibility and instead of hiring a new Knight-Captain, his father’s council opted to promote Riaon himself to the role. After accepting the responsibility, he found himself avidly attempting to clean out Riverrun with this authority upon the discovery of a criminal cartel in the city that attempted to use Riaon’s “inexperience” to expand their operations. However, this did not go well when Riaon responded back with vicious measures that would earn him the title of “the Shark of Riverrun”, a title he ignored as he continued to choke down crime in his city.
Some years ago, Riaon’s wife, Trysta Erenford fell victim to an incident that would cause her early death— fellow individuals in Riverrun noted that Trysta was sick and with child and had always been a “meek” child in her youth. Her death was ruled as the product of the illness and her weak body; taking with her the unborn child of her and Riaon’s marriage. This burdened Riaon much considering this was the same illness that had been plaguing his father and many others in Riverrun. Riaon didn’t immediately remarry and coped in solitude for some time.
It has been some years since… and now his father has passed and it is Riaon who sits as Lord Paramount of The Trident.

Laerra Stark
NE. Tully 38 ♦ Lady of the Riverlands & the North ♦ Alive
[ ߜ ] I N F O R M A T I O N
Often described in her youth as the fiercest and most unobtainable woman to bear the name Tully. Ethan Stark once described her as “more of a northerner at heart”. Before her marriage to Ethan Stark around 436 AC, Laerra Tully rebuffed several offers of courtship and deemed few men worth her time— and the few that did were ones who were expected to respect her on equal footing and not with chivalrous fantasies that reduced her to her gender. Whilst being groomed as a lady by her mother during her childhood, it is noteworthy that Laerra also took up an interest in archery after witnessing a bout at a tournament when she was eight years old— an interest that she never relented upon, even as the years started to pass. It was with this martial interest that brought a confidence to the way she began to embody. By the time she was ten and eight years past her nameday it became evident that she was one of the finest archers in Riverrun due to her constant practices and dedication to the art.
Following her residence in The North and bearing five children to Ethan Stark, Laerra is said to have weathered in what was once a youthful and fiery disposition. Laerra is supposedly still quite confident and certain with her actions— a fact that has earned her responsibilities to watch over her wards and children as well as introduce and teach them the art of archery like few others could.

Imara was in many ways, the complete opposite of her sister, Laerra. Courteous, patient, subservient, and affectionate are all attributes associated with Imara and her manner and she has had such attributes since she was a child as she garnered her mother’s favor and attention constantly. Where Vorian and Roderic were groomed to be commanders, knights, and lords— Imara was being groomed to be a wife, lady, and guardian. Her interests were in the physical arts such as paintings and sculptures as well as tending to flora and fauna when she was allowed.
Imara was married to the heir of House Mooton when she was twenty years past her nameday and has since remained in Maidenpool since doing her duty as his wife.
Cathryn Tully

[ ߜ ] I N F O R M A T I O N
Cathryn was the first of two twins to enter this world, beating her brother by several seconds. This desire to enter the world is a testament to Edwina’s drive to move forward with a headstrong will. Like her brother, Cathryn would exhibit particular talent and intelligence which were encouraged by her eldest brother, Vorian Tully. As a child, Cathryn found herself idolizing three of her siblings; Laerra, Vorian, and Roderic— a fact that may have been part of the reason for her more martially-inclined talents being groomed to be more than temporary flirtations but rather fully fleshed out skills. With her eldest sister being a remarkable archer who refused to be prissy or subservient, her eldest brother encouraging her as an equal to her brother, and her second eldest brother assuring her that a marriage prospect shouldn’t define her; there was no way that Cathryn would become an atypical daughter of a Lord Paramount with courtesies and social fragrances. Cathryn was going to become who she wanted to be on her own terms.
Despite her father’s reluctance, Cathryn took to the sword with such talent that had not been seen in generations. She found other pursuits in world cultures and military history but she was not as adept in tactical intelligence as much as her twin brother, Riaon, a fact that would mean that while she was the better she wasn’t truly smarter than him— a fact that would show itself in several sparring duels and practices that would breed a hunger in her.
A hunger that would be tested during Romarn Mudd’s uprising when he attacked Riverrun, and afterwards on the battlefield of The Trident as a young untested warrior. She was only four and ten when she killed for the first time— and she saw how people underestimated her on the field for not being the “appropriate” gender. She wasn’t sparring against her brother who saw her as an equal anymore and she would make her enemies pay for that fact. It was during these initial battles that she earned her reputation as a talented combatant, and it was one that she would continue to develop after Romarn was defeated. Cathryn would fight the few peasant revolts that came up, the occasional raid from the hills, and of course the vivacious Ironborn who intended to reap the Riverlands to their benefit.
However, Cathryn has been called to King’s Landing for a new sort of duty— one that her brother, now the Lord Paramount of the Trident, was reluctant to allow. Cathryn was to be a member of the Kingsguard.

[ ߜ ] I N F O R M A T I O N
Tristifer was born in the shadow of his siblings, Cathryn & Riaon Tully, though he never seemed to think much of it. Oftentimes it is said that Tristifer preferred it. After being taken under the wing of a prominent master in the royal court, it became apparent that whilst lacking the cohesive martial skills he seemed to have his own advantages in the field of academics despite no apparent genius or prodigal talent. The maester’s stories of historical and mythological nature gravitated towards Tristifer and the young boy that he was at the time couldn’t seem to get enough— he wanted to know more. Not because his siblings were proficient talents but rather because the world seemed to just make more sense with all of the facts.
His interest in all of the “facts” would lead him to interests in math, science, medicine, history, and literature equally— absorbing all that he could in Riverrun as he surrounded himself by books and scholarly tools. There was a point that he considered going to King’s Landing to study at The Citadel; but such aspirations were curbed by the sudden illness of his father.
Alyce Tully

[ ߜ ] I N F O R M A T I O N
Alyce’s childhood was not as idyllic as her parents would’ve preferred— she was born only a few years before Romarn Mudd’s uprising and the short war that was to follow. It was due to this that the fear of war, loss, and pain surrounded the young Tully girl from the onset. Despite this Alyce refused to allow herself to think unwell and took to an optimistic and kind personality as she took to trying to lift others spirits with poetry, fables, and song. She was perhaps the kindest child sirred between Lysandra Vypren and Draedon Tully.
A decade after Alyce was born tragedy began to unravel upon her life— her mother, in a state of grief that had overtaken her following the death of two sons and four brothers as well as her husband falling into a deep sickness had decided to end her life. Alyce was shocked from the weight of her mother taking her own life and initially was unsure how to handle it due to being so young. Looking for answers in the Faith of the Seven she began to find solace in the halls of the sept. This would be the catalyst of Alyce’s personal journey forward as she devoted herself to finding answers in the faith and helping others find peace in it.
In the years since, nothing has much changed. Alyce is currently said to be courted by a few suitors of note. Alyce is looking forward to meeting them.
Maeron Tully
18 ♦ Lord of the Riverlands ♦ Alive
[ ߜ ] I N F O R M A T I O N
Maeron never really knew his parents, in fact, he’d probably tell you that he views himself more of a Stark then a Tully. This is due to the fact that, following his birth and his parents unfortunate sicknesses and demises, he was sent off to The North to be mentored under House Stark. He was barely seven years past his nameday at the time.
Maeron’s childhood alongside the Stark children has groomed him towards northern values and in combination with his training in archery by the wife of Ethan Stark whom coincidentally is his eldest sister, Laerra. In many ways Maeron has become driven by protecting his friends and living by the example put down by House Stark. It is also said that he has become a competent swordsman and the afflictions of The North have become sympathetic towards Maeron— as such is evident by his exponentially increasing respect for the efforts of The Night’s Watch at The Wall.

Proud, loud, strong and iron hard. As a good Ironman ought to be. Gruff and powerful, a man who knows what his people are like. Knows the taste of salt, and the touch of stone. No friend to the Mainlanders but willing to listen to them at the very least. Loyal to the Iron Islands and the Seastone Chair. And though he doesn’t always get along with them, holds family above even his closest friends.
Is a frequent visitor of the shoals and rocks and briney water at the edge of the sea, to dip his head, and take a good gulp of salt water, worshipping the Drowned God, calling his name when things of a spiritual nature are needed, and will often thumb his bell-end in the direction of the Seven. Perfectly willing to pour a libation to the dead into the sea when he’s of the mood.
Biography:
“You’re born an Ironman, aye, that’s right boy. But you can’t call yourself an Ironman until you’ve picked up a sword and fought a man at one pace on the rolling deck of a longboat!” -Captain Rosi Saltthroat
Ironman, Ironborn, that’s what they are called. A lot of other men of the Iron Isles might have forgotten that over the years. Not so much Lord Cidran Harlaw. He didn’t let the fact that his mines made him rich, and his smiths beat the metals into fine goods. He still cleaved to the idea that an Ironman, should be ready with weapon on hand, in case there is a chance to take to the waters, and prove a prime Reaver of souls, and prepared to rape and pillage, if you have a little free time on your hands that is.
Cidran was born fine and hale, a big strapping child, who was said to have one hell of a pair of lusty lungs, crying out so loud, that he woke the hounds down in the kennels that night. This would carry on to his elder years, his voice always powerful, loud, such that if he wanted to, he could drown out the entirety of a feast hall filled with people and be heard on out into the hall with ease.
Cidran had been born to a family of salt and stone kings. The Harlaws are wealthy, and powerful, enough so that the Greyjoys know fine not to try and cross them, even if the Greyjoys rule. You don’t try and piss off the family that can supply a good third of your men when you come calling. Likewise do they bend the knee to the Greyjoys as the Lords of the Iron Islands. Not that they couldn’t that away from them if they got enough support during a kingsmoot, but who wants to rule the Iron Islands anyway? Cidran knows quite well that the Harlaws and the Greyjoys have a good deal here and he’s happy for that.
When Cidran was young his father threw him out of the castle for a decade, and told him he wasn’t a Harlaw for those ten years. And not to come back until he’d spent time in salt and in stone. He spent those years sailing on various longboats, taking part in the occasional raid on the coast line, taking thralls and learning the trade of the sword, shield and club. He was no stranger to it. When released from his last ship voyage, he bent low enough and worked an iron mine beside some of the thralls he had taken himself less then a year before. He had learned to fight with sword on land and a boat. He learned how to fight with fist and pick in the mines. While doing so he learned valuable lessons about the kind of people that populated the Iron Islands and the Island of Harlaw. Even their Thralls, the common folk of the islands, the shipmen and the captains. They all had iron hearts and iron hands. Powerful and unbending. When he returned to the Ten Towers after that decade was up, he was named Heir to Harlaw. And spent much of his time after ward captaining his own ship, and actting as a mouth for his father between the other lords of the Islands, and on the rare occasion, was sent to the mainland on trading trips, or to speak with the landbound lords.
It was on one of these trips that one of those landbound lords tried to take him as a hostage. Thinking back on it later after his escape, Cidran would hold a little bit of animosity towards the lord who said he spoke for House Brax. Cidran would learn they held banner for House Crakehall and always held abit of a grudge against them afterward. Either way after being captured and held hostage, with a ransom sent to his father. He was left in cell, with a rotting door. Like a proper reaver, he battered down the door, stole an axe, and managed to fight his way out, finding his crew also in the dungeons. With fifty seven oars he managed to get his men all the way out to the castle gates, taking an arrow to the hip on the way, which would leave him with a slight limp into his later years.
His father would die in his sleep when Cidran is in his late 30s. Cidran, his blood brothers and his single bastard but legitimized brother would be the ones to take to a boat, flanked by other boats with captains and the common people to pay respects. The brothers were the ones to tip their fathers body over the gunwale and into the salt. Cidran would be the one to call out to the ships and people that the Drowned God needed a good oarsmen. His mother followed his father a year later, and they repeated the process sending her to join her husband, his father with the Drowned God. No doubt after his parents were gone Cidran took up the reins as Lord Harlaw. Which is where we find him now.
Claim To The Throne: Not a one. Supports the Greyjoys in their efforts on the Iron Islands
Appearance:
Name: Roderick (Little Roddy) Flower, Bastard of House Hunt
Age: 29
Seat: No reigning seat
Heir: No Heir, hasn’t fathered any children yet
Personality: Glib, blithe and mostly carefree. He carries his own burdens lightly, and looks on the woes of others without much of a problem. Being a Bastard gives him a unique outlook on things. He’s studious and book smart. But has a very low opinion of many people around him.
Biography: It began with an unwisely taken cup of mead. As many stories often do. This cup of mead started a story that has happened many times before. It started the story of a bastard.
The current Lord of House Hunt had gone to a tavern to drown the days stresses away. The tavern girl was slim, dark haired with an exotic tan to her skin. The lord was proud, powerful and tall. She had a pair of breasts that could swell out of her outfit if she just moved in a certain way, but managed to keep them penned in. He had a hard time penning something else in. And after many drinks, and some sweet talk the end result was a night and a day of wild animal like passion.
The Lord Hunt then moved on. As is the way of many of the Great and Lesser houses. The tavern girl lived on and did not know of what was left until she found she was late the next month as it were. And knew for certain when she began to throw up. The union had borne a third it seems. When the child was in swaddling clothes she took him to the Lord Hunt. And presented the lord his bastard son Roderick. The Lord took responsibility, and even took the tavern girl in for her trouble. The boy grew up in the Lords house. He didn’t grow up with luxury though, as his mother was a sensible woman, and knew he’s still of Bastard stock. So though he had some of the opulence, he also learned how to work with his hands. His father tried to teach him courtly niceties. And he learned some, but took less to the courtly stuff and more to the peasants way. His older brother was more the son that Lord Hunt wanted. While Roderick Flowers a much more down to earth fellow.
He was given a choice on his sixteenth naming day. To stay at the castle, go into military service, take the Nights Oath or a fourth option, go to Old Town and become a measter.
Roderick took the fourth option. And with his Father’s blessing and his mother’s reminder to always remember what he is and where he came from set off to the Citadel. It’s interesting to note that Roderick, who gained the nickname of Little Roddy, when some of his classmates met his brother Rodney Hunt, who’s a big fellow compared to Roderick, well Roderick is quite an intelligent fellow. He soaked up information like a sponge. And could internalize it in a state that he could understand much better then the way his tutors and the teachers could relate. He took fairly well to his lessons. And grew to really love the lessons on medicine, drugs, narcotics and poisons. In fact those were the first links he forged. The Medicine, Drugs and Narcotics and poisons chain links. He wore them proudly. He also took part in a program meant to teach measters how to fight. And he learned quite well how to handle a pair of daggers. He also learned through some of his classmates the art of sneaking out of The Citadel during the night to partake of some of the more risqué forms of entertainment around Old Town.
This might have been where his downfall started. Those late nights caused him a little trouble. He needed pick me ups during the day. So he began to brew himself various stimulant drugs to keep him going. He began to supply his classmates and soon some upper and lower year students with them too. A teacher though found out, and gave him a warning to stop. Roddy said he would but secretly continued, and even began to wrangle money out of his classmates for the drugs. By then he was far enough along that he’d been at the citadel for a fair amount of years. Having made his way to his twenty fifth naming day in the Citadel. And had only 3 links so far to show for it. He was about to gain a fourth though as he took up the surgery training. And gained another link that way. But then he began to do things that Measters are forbidden too. He began to test his drugs, medicine and other skills on live sources.
Again another teacher found him out. But unlike another man in a time long ago, Roderick didn’t let the man report him. He tracked the man, and slit the Measters throat in a dark hallway, leaving his body in a seldom used closet to rot. This bought him a little time. Until a well-meaning servant found the body. And a small bloodstained paper with Roderick’s name written on it. It had been a note to the Dean of the Citadel about Roderick’s extra studies. A group of guards and measters went to see the young man in his study room. And found him studying a man who had been doped up so heavily on various drugs and narcotics that he could only speak in song. Roderick was stripped of his Chain links, only after he gutted one of the measters and two of the guards. At the trial of Measters convened to decide his fate it was learned he was almost endlessly high on a variety of drugs that kept him going. Sleeping maybe only an hour or two a day. Using drugs and food and drink to keep him going during the day. It was decided he’d be expelled never to return. A measter went to take his chain links, but found he did not have them on him. Roderick was marched out of the citadel and thrown out with his clothing and a small stipend of money to help him get back home.
It took him a few months to make the trip back to the realms of House Hunt, and presented himself at his Father’s court. And truthfully relayed what happened. Not bothering to lie. Though his father and mother were put out with him, he did say he’d learned quite about and could earn his keep. His father set him up with a shop, and enough materials to get his work started. By twenty sixth year, people were coming to him for drugs and medicines that measters wouldn’t give to them. Soon nobles came to him for poisons. One year a noble asked him to do the poisoning for them. He trained himself and managed to get into a small party, where he managed to sneak a poison into a goblet of wine meant for his topic. He sipped on a flute of champagne as his target choked and died before the eyes of everyone attending. At twenty seven he was asked to get rid of someone messily, he used a pair of curved daggers to disembowel the target, leaving him hanging from his own entrails on a sign post for many to see and to get the message.
By the time he reached his twenty ninth naming day he was known to only a chosen few, who would go to him for the things they need. And the actions that they couldn’t do their self. Little Roddy Flowers. The Poison Flower of House Hunt.

House Crakehall were once loyal Bannermen to the lannisters, one of the first to answer their call... until the death of Lord Tywin Lannister. After his death House Crakehall made their plans, and after the restoration of the Targaryen line to the throne House Crakehall we're named wardens of the west in the place of the destroyed House Lannister. Ever since, following the example left by lord Tywin, the Crakehall's have kept the lords of the westerlands unified, and a forcertain to be reckoned with. House Crakehall also inherited one last thing from the Lannisters, their riches. House Crakehall not only maintained their own mines, fields and other profitable assets, they gained all those held by House Lannister, making them without a doubt the richest House in the Seven Kingdoms.
Since then, House Crakehall has only grown in influence and power, though early on was not so easy. Much like when Tytos Lannister ruled, several houses attempted to rebel against Crakehall after their ascension to wardenship, a war known as the beggars rebellion ensued. It was so named for the strategy used by then Lord Roland Crakehall, who seized all the rebel houses means of funding themselves before ever meeting them in open combat. Essentially, over a period of three years House Crakehall drove it's opponents into the poorhouse, while they themselves grew richer. After the complete destruction of house Garner at the siege of Clegane's keep the other three rebelling houses surrendered, bending the knee to the Crakehall's. As punishment, a third of each of the remaining houses lands and holdings were seized by House Crakehall, along with all the lands of House Garner, making the Crakehall's even richer. This display showed the other westerlands lords why House Crakehall deserved their fealty as much as the Lannisters did.
In the centuries following the powerful family fostered ties with many of the other powerful families, though they first consolidated their hold on the westerlands with a slew of marriages and other familial ties to the most powerful houses such as Payne, Banefort, Brax along with others. After this, they tied themselves to the throne by being a rather commonly chosen house to have a member named the Master of coin thanks to their uncanny ability with money, some even supposedly rivaling the financial abilities of Petyr Baelish. Their power and wealth also made them prime candidates for marriage to Targaryen's(when they aren't married off to eachother), hence why they currently have a valid claim to the throne.
Now, Lord Tyget Crakehall, current head of House Crakehall, seeks to take his family from the westerlands to kings landing, and take the iron throne for himself. His claim may not be as strong as that of some other lords, but such a thing matters little to a man who can buy out many of those enemies, or simply by an army to crush them. He calls his Bannermen now, prepared to set his enemies ablaze, as he marches off to war. However, unlike the other houses vying for the throne, House Crakehall has a vested interest in who claims the north. The Iron Islanders are able to raid the Westerlands, and Tyget has no wish to allow the seafaring bastards to pillage more than the Fair Isle they already took from him.
Name: King Tyget Crakehall
Age: 47
Seat: Crakehall
Heir: Tywin Crakehall, son, 22
Personality: Lord Tyget does very little without first carefully weighing all of his options, hence a common joke that the man takes 3 hours to piss, 1 hour to choose a privy, one hour to decide where to stand, and one hour going back over his options. However, this calculating nature has served him well, be it in war and court alike. He is fastidious to fault, often fixating on minor details longer than the full picture often to the chagrin of more impatient men. As a side effect, Tyget has a truly immense fountain of patience to draw from, virtually never losing his composure or acting brashly. His plans and machinations have long armed consequences, sometimes reaching several years before bearing fruit. His dour nature, I her item from his mother, also means he is not prone to jest or humour, preferring to remain focused and serious.
Tyget holds little love for the gods, partially because he is fairly certain he is richer than they are, even so he frequently proclaims them to the smallfolk and is known to make donations to the church... in spite of this, he has recently taken a vested interest in the faith of R'hlor, and secretly searches for a priest of priestess of the red god, for he has heard some can bring men back from the dead. In both strategy and personal combat Tyget is careful, and clever, and underhanded. He is considered a well tested and very succesful military leader, largely for his suppression of Pirates from Essos. He is a learned man, and despite his martial abilities Tyget does not scorn intellectuality, and is not unknown to spend many hours reading on a variety of topics. As for his politics... Tyget has few compunctions against 'doing what must be done', and is a vicious and ambitious member of court, hence his claiming the throne for himself. He carries a deep rooted hatred of the Ironmen, seeing them as unworthy of being held in any sort of trust to the throne. The loss of the Fair isle in recent times has only further soured his opinion of them, meaning their fate under his rule is suspect.
Biography: Tyget was born the fourth child, and first son, of Lord Jon Crakehall, a bombastic and honourable man. Tyget was raised more by his mother than his father however, who was rarely at Crakehall, often galavanting about the westerlands and the seven kingdoms spending money, attending tourneys and generally being what Tyget considered a wasteful slug. His mother, Lenna Crakehall was born Lenna Payne, and she was like most all other Payne's, solemn, dour, taciturn, and dreadfully serious. She taught the heir to house Crakehall how to be a real leader, how to make men fear and dread you by personality and presence alone. When he was three she had him sentence a man to death for a minor offense, he was not allowed to hesitate or look away from the man and he did exactly as he was told, never flinching.
After his early youth, around the age of eight, his father decided the boy spent to much time around his mother and took his combat training on himself. Tyget learned the ins and outs of war from his father, from strategy and military history to personal combat. However, despite his attempts, Jon could not get his son to 'lighten up', keeping the grey nature handed to him by his mother. The dour boy drove his father up the wall, so after two years of training Tyget himself, Jon had the boy squired with someone his wife said he'd get along better with. Tyget was squired to Ser Humfrey Payne, his mother's cousin. The man was much like Lenna, and Tyget seemed to look up to him far more than he ever did to his father, and Tyget followed the taciturn knight wherever he went, being knighted seven years later by his own father. However, one skill from his own family that Tyget learned was finance, and it was here the boy showed true ability. He was a talented swordsman and knight, and skilled politician... but he was a banker savant. Upon being given the responsibility of the Crakehall fortune, Tyget doubled it in 2 years and tripled that amount in 4. He replaced any debt accrued by his boisterous father befor the man had even died, so when Jon Crakehall did die Tyget was lord of the rich house that just kept getting richer at the age of 26.
Shortly after taking the lordship, Tyget married, though many say it was rather late the two had actually been matched by Tyget's mother almost from their birth. Tyget was married to Leonette Tyrell, for though Leonette was but a third cousin of the Tyrell's it was still a tie between two of the richest houses. Their marriage has since produced 6 children, though it seems Tyget shares his father's propensity for female heirs, as five of his six children are girls, only his second oldest child, Tywin, is a boy. Of His daughters three are married; Shiera, Amarei and Melessa. His youngest daughter, Leona, is 10, and Tyget thinks her too young to be married or engaged.
His reign as Warden of the west saw the westerlands grow in wealth and influence, though repeated incursions from both Essosi Pirates and Iron Islanders have plauged Tyget, though he has since remedied the Essosi, the Iron born still pose a threat.
At the death of Aegon X Tyget made an unprecedented move, and was the first to claim the Iron throne for himself after it was discovered Daenys had no claim. Most imagined that the careful and patient Tyget would wait to see his opponents at least, if he declared for it at all. However, it seems the Lord of the west has made his move, and his true intent is to bring out those who would dare to oppose him, so he can bribe them, bride them or bury them until it is Tyget who sits on the throne, unnaposed.
Claim to the throne: Tyget's great uncle, Tybolt Crakehall was married to the sister of Aegon's father, and his Great uncle sired no heirs, putting the claim squarely on his shoulders.
Appearance: Though he is getting on in years, Tyget is as imposing as he always was. Standing at 5'9, Tyget has a fighters build, and is stronger than most would thing, as underneath his armor lay thick muscle. Though his age has slowed him slightly, Tyget is as strong and as able a fighter as he ever was. He carries Widow's Wail on his person at all times, on and off the field of battle. His hair was once rather muddy brown of most all Crakehall's, but in his age the gray hairs now outnumber the beown, though his thick hair shows no sign or balding. His hair is kept back slicked back, and short, his bangs swept back with the rest of his hair so the are somewhat loner, though as they are always slicked back most people do not realise this. His face bears a single scar, on his left cheek, though he was never beautiful or particularly handsome Tyget has a stern, solemn face, there is a lot of Payne in him, his face long and stern and his eyes gray like those of his mother. He keeps himself clean shaven when possible, though has been know to carry a scruffy close cropped beard when it suits him.
Name: Ser Tywin Crakehall
Age: 22
Saet: none
Heir: (?)
Personality: Tywin has a strange mixture of Tyrell nobility from his mother, and the more serious outlook of his father. Though many think him not quite as intelligent as his father, or as well disposed to Grand strategy, he is considered one of the best swordsman in the westerlands, if not the seven kingdoms. His skill with blade and Lance surpasses that of his father, and he is renowned for his good looks and caring temperament, both unlike his father. However, anyone who knows Tywin knows the one thing he wants more than anything else is his father's respect, and he works hard for it. With war on the horizon, perhaps now he can earn it. It is especially difficult as he is a homosecual, something his father is obviously not in favor of and has taken pains to hide it from others.
Biography: Second child and first son of Lord Tyget Crakehall and Lady Leonette Crakehall, Tywin was named for a man Tyget respected far more than his father, Lord Tywin Lannister all those centuries ago. They boy grew up seeing his father as some wonderful being, he thought of his father as a true lord and just man. Thogh he never shared his fathers lack of humour, He did wish to imitate his father's skills, squired early to Ser Rickon Algood, he learned the way of the knight. Tywin learned quickly, proving to be a natural at sordplay, and as good at mounted combat. He trained hard, and was given Knighthood at 15. During his time with Ser Algood, Tywin met another squire, in service to Derrik Banefort, named Robert Lorch. The two boys became fast friends quickly, and eventually struck up a secret love-affair. Shortly after the Tywin was knighted, lord Tyget found out. Upon discovering his son and his lover, Tyget acted quickly, he could not risk the Lords of the Westerlands knowing, and he could not simply kill or exile Lorch. So, with no other choice, Tyget declared that Robert Lorch would become one of his guards, and be knighted. He forbid his son from ever being alone with Robert again, though this is one of the only commands of his father's that Tywin is willing to disobey, though it is not easy.
Now, he expects Tyget will soon name Robert to the Kingsguard, making their relationship even harder. It is becoming difficult for Tywin, but he still wishes for his father to see him as a son to be proud of.
Appearance: Tywin takes after his mother quitw a bit(similar to his own father), and looks more Tyrell than Crakehall. If any other Tyrells were present at the right time many may have believed him a bastard, but as this was not the case he is most definitely Tyget's son, his gray eyes confirm it further. His hair is light brown and curly, coming down to just below the top of his ears. His face is free of blemish or scar, and is far more handsome than his father. He has a similar build to his father, though he is slightly taller and thinner, standing at 5'10. He keeps his face clean shaven, preferring to never have even a scruf of beard.
Name: Princess Leona Crakehall
Age: 10
Personality: Leona is an outgoing young girl, a strange combination of her mothers kind heart and fathers ambitious drive Leona is an explorer, often sneaking away from her lessons to explore the confines of Castle Crakehall. She enjoys running down the halls with her dog Serin, and loves listening to the stories of guards, knights and her father. She is easily bored and her mind often wanders when listening to others or taking her lessons. The only erson who seems to be able to hold her attention is her father, Tyget seems to know just how to play the young girl and often enraptures her with tales of the families past.
Biography: Leona is Tyget's youngest child, born ten years ago and most likely Tyget's final child. Like his other children, Tyget has taken an active role in her upbringing, educating her on the history of her house. Though she has only met her sisters infrequently, as they live with thier husbands in other castles, but she is close to her brother Tywin, and he often takes her riding with him. She likes Ser Falwell, she thinks he is charming and fun, but Ser Terrance Payne frightens young Leona, she finds him strange and abnormal, often avoiding the man when she can.
Appearance: Leona Crakehall is the spitting image of Tyget's mother Lenna Crakehall, her gray eyes, black hair, fair face and sharp features. she is small, still a young child after all, and still growing.
The Kingsguard of King Tyget Crakehall ----
Name: Terrance Payne
Age: 33
Personality: Terrance pain is an aloof man, quiet and mysterious he speaks sparingly, and often only when prompted by his king. When he does speak without a direct prompt from his king Payne comes across as cold and detached, possibly from reality. He has been known to spout strangely prophetic statements, but their actual validity is not certain, though many believe the man is 'touched'. In his silence Terrance is essentially the Sandor Clegane of the Crakehall's, unquetioning loyalty to his King and his family. This, mixed with his seeming touch of insanity, make for a rather unsettling individual.
On the field of battle the man is truly a sight to see. His greatsword, nearly as tall as he, can cleave through a fully armored knight like a knife through butter. The man is shorter than most, but is increadibly strong, his size also allows him to wield it with far greater speed than most other wielders of greatswords. His style is based on that of Ser Illyn Payne, the Kings justice, his ancestor from the war of the five kings.
Biography: Terrance pain is the only son of Ser Humfrey Payne, the man Tyget was squired ti in his youth. As Terrance's particular line can be traced all the way back to Ser Illyn Payne it is unsurprising he is loyal to House Crakkehall, though Terrance seems to take it to another level. During Tyget's rain the Paynes have only grown in influence, the dour house being favored by the Lord Crakehall. By the time Tyget was lord, terrance was already a knight himself at 14. Early on Tygett sponsored the young boy, hearing praise of the quiet mans skills, the fact he was knighted at 14 attesting to that. It was not till several years later however that Ser Terrance Payne would become forever intertwined with his lord. A rather ambitous fleet of Ironmen assaulted Lannisport, or rather attempted to. Driving the Crakehall fleet out of the bay, five ships landed at the docks, and were met by only 30 men, they outnumbered them 10 to 1... but one of these men was the 17 year old Terrance Payne. As the ships landed and the Ironmen disembarked Terrance was the first to charge into the frey, his greatsword cleaving through the raiders. He single handedly killed over 50 Iron island raiders that day, and by the time the city watch had arrived the Ironmen were in full retreat, shouting about the man of pain. After this event Tyget named Terrance his own personal shield, a man to guard him against all threats, and Terrance was given the title 'Ser Payne of the pain', the redundant title getting the message across well enough. Once Tyget declared his claim for the Iron throne it was Ser Terrance of the Pain that he named first to the Kingsguard, and giving him the title of Lord commander of his Kingsguard. Ser Payne has server Tyget loyally for his entire life, and does not apear to be intent on changing that anytime soon.
Appearance: Terrance Payne is even more Payne than King Tyget, his long face sallow, his eyes a cludy brown and sunken into his skull. His hair is kept in a rather odd fashion, the sides of his head, the back of his head and his face are all clean shaven, but he has a thick line of dark brown hair sitting atop his head, the bangs cut short almost to no existence. He is a short man, he stands at a mere 5'5, but he is stcky for his height and far stronger than he looks. He is never without his greatsword, and though he has never named it there are those who call it Name Taker, for Ser Payne's strange habit of Stenciling particularly known names of important men he has killed onto the blade. When not in his Crakehall Kindsguard armor he wears a simple tunic, breeches and leather vest with high leather boots.
Name: Willem Falwell
Age: 27
Personality: Ser Falwell is many things, boastful, calm, cruel, confident and other less savory words are the first that come to mind. The "knight" hardly acts like one, other than obeyng his king that is, as he very normally bullies the weak, mocks the Seven and generally dishonors himself and others rather regularly. In spite of this, Lord Crakehall has never seen fit to strip him of his titles, for the man is a useful tool. Though he may be crude the man is also cunning, and is known for his underhanded way of speaking, acting and fighting. He also has quite the air of showmanship about him, and quite enjoys the sound of his own voice.
When in a fight, Ser Willem fights with Braavosi Water dancing, having learned it as a child. He has even developed a unique version of the style to adapt it for use in heavy armor, as the classical style requires more freedom of movement thanheavy armor can provide. Though this unique style may be more crude, it is no less difficult for Westerosi fighters to counter. When out of his armor though, Falwell largely uses classic waterdancing.
Biography: The second son of Lord Jaime Falwell Willem became enraptured with sword play at a young age. He loved to watch the Knights duel or engage in melee, and he enjoyed nothing more than seeing the victor triumph. One day, a travelling swordsman from Braavos diplayed his skill before Lord Falwell, and the man was so entertained he hired the Braavosi to become a permanent attaction in his house. It was this man that Willem couldn't believe, his sword moved like it was a part of him, like it was the end of his arm. Eventually, Willem begged his father to let the Braavosi teach him the waterdance rather than learn Westerosi combat from a knight, and his father grudgingly agreed as it was only his second son.
Willem was a natural, the tall and lithe boy learning the style of fighting quickly, and mastering it by his 18th year. After this, his father knighted him despite his lack of true training as a squire. The man never stopped training though, and not long after he surpassed his old master, and skewered him. Falwell had learned something else from the Braavosi, how to be cruel. The man had been a sadistic murderer, and had fled from Braavos after he commited a string of murders, and he seemed to pass his cruel beliefs on to the impressionable young Willem. The boy may be a knight, but he had not a lick of chivalry about him. He was cruel, capricious, hateful and lustful, but he was one of the best swords in Westeros. He even had a special blade forged for himself, a Rapier he named Talon, it was reinforced far more than similar blades, it was made to pierce the heavy plate of Westerosi knights. Lord Tyget saw the mans skill, and knew he had never lost a duel since his knighting, and claimed him as his second sworn shield. He did it not only for better protection, but also to rain the man in and prevent him from causing trouble for house Falwell and the Westerlands. He named him to his Kingsguard the same day as Ser Terrance Payne, and Falwell can't wait to kill for his king.
Appearance: Ser Falwell is an iteresting foil to Ser Payne in personality and appearance. He is tall, reaching nearly seven feet at 6'8, and has a lithe body, perfect for the water dance. His hair is worn long, and is dirty blonde, he has dark blue eyes and a rather handsome face, save the long scar running horizontal across his nose. He keeps a well groomed mustache, but has no other facial hair. If not in his Kingsguard armor he looks much like a Braavosi Water dancer, leather vest and elegant breeches with leather boots.
Name: Edric Stark Age: 20 Seat: Winterfell Heir: Edwyn Stark (Younger Brother) Personality: Many things can be said of Edric Stark, in fact if you ask, many things will be said about Edric Stark. This is perhaps one of his defining features; Edric is a man who leaves an impression on the world around him and those he meets. Good, bad, love him, hate him, the Lord of Winterfell is not one who slinks by unnoticed. He's a loud, boisterous man Biography: Claim To The Throne: N/A Appearance:

House Velaryon
Lord: Lord Lucarys Velaryon
Seat: High Tide
Heir: Lord Laenor Velaryon Religion: The Faith of the Seven Army: Holding an isle which possesses both rich, volcanic soil and one of the largest trading hubs on the narrow sea allows House Velaryon to field, in rare times of war, one of the largest armies in the Crownlands. It is estimated that when levied, Driftmark can produce upwards of six thousand armed men for any conflicts its lord many involve himself in. Comprized primarily of footmen, as islands do not offer room for extensive pastures, the Velaryon host consists of around four thousand front line soldiers evenly divide among heavy and light infantry, one thousand archers, five hundred heavy horse belonging almost entirely of the isle's knights and five hundred crossbowmen. Additionally, Spicetown employs a city guard of professionally trained and well equipped pikemen who number at one thousand at any given time, bringing the total up to seven thousand soldiers, although the guard would rarely leave Spicetown, making the last thousand men a defensive force if anything. It is worth noting that with its wealth, the affluent House could call upon more men via the contract of hireswords. To estimate how many, however, is impossible, as mercenary companies vary wildly in price depending upon which job they're hired for.
Fleet: House Velaryon's power has always been at sea, long before Aegon ever marched his men upon the mainland. The lords of Driftmark did not forget this as they rose to prominence once again. Fielding perhaps the largest singular navy in Westeros, House Velaryon's vessels number precisely three hundred and four warships strong. In times of peace, however, only around one hundred and twenty are actively used. These vessels, mostly quicker ships, serve to patrol the trade routes which pass up and down the narrow sea, guarding Driftmark's trade assets from would-be pirates and sellsails while her larger war vessels find storage at harbor. Her ships are crewed by men of the waves, boasting some of the finest sailors in Westeros, skills kept sharp by skirmishes with cutthroats and routine sailing. Additionally, Driftmark possesses several hundred trading ships who rarely remain at port for long. The merchants of the isle sail from Norvos to the Jade Sea and anything in between, bringing back anything one could imagine to be sold and exported to main land Westeros or the Free cities themselves for a tidy profit.
Recent History:
Name: Lucarys Velaryon Age: 46 Seat: High Tide Heir: Laenar Velaryon (Son) Personality: Lucarys is a man of sharp wits and kind words, whose dangerous capabilities are balanced by a good nature. Naturally gregarious, the lord of Driftmark is the kind of man to happily strike up a conversation with a total stranger if only to have the pleasure of meeting somebody new. His tongue is as silver as his coffers, his mastery or word play allowing him to deftly navigate social situations and sooth and flatter his way into the good graces and perhaps pockets of those around him.
This skill with diplomacy is especially dangerous when paired with his love for accounting. Having grown among merchants and wealthy patrons, his astitute mind quickly adapted to managing sums and assuring every gold dragon, silver stag and copper star was accounted for and invested in the most ideal way possible. It was, perhaps, from handling such matters for so long which inspired a certain lust within him. Not greed, as one may expect, but a thirst for finery and affluence. He dresses himself in the finest silks, drinks the most delectable wines and presents his family with the most exotic of trinkets. Biography: Claim To The Throne: N/A Appearance:

House Tyrell is a house of upstart stewards, to some of those you might ask in The Reach. Some say the Gardeners, should they be brought back, even if they would refuse to bend the knee to the Targaryens. were better rulers, firmer and truly worthy of the Rose Crown. Others would simply disagree- they would argue that this is a Great House founded on chivalry and honour, a House that serves as the breadbasket to the Iron Throne and it's primary military strength in times of war. The Tyrells are the House that have maintained peace and the beautiful landscape of The Reach, from it's rivers and bountiful fields, from being ravaged by the processes of war. Either interpretation leaves the conclusion simple- they are exceptionally lucky, compared to the rest of Westeros.
The lands of The Reach have always remained beautiful, from any observer's eyes. From the coast of Manderford to the Dornish Marches and the greenery, forests, rolling hills and gentle rivers between, it is easy to understand why this region is blessed, both with more than ample food security and a chivalric background. Where the days go by, and the flowered and wheat filled fields, with the gently meandering rivers and white castles that remind the people of The Reach that it is good to have the Tyrells in power. On the surface, of course. The Rosewood in it's own right is a natural marvel- alongside the distant Torrentine Range, the Roseroad that snakes it's way from King's Landing to Oldtown, via Highgarden, to the white castles that you can see dotted around. The climate is pleasant, slightly cooler than King's Landing, and a little less rainy than the Stormlands, a place where it feels very comfortable indeed for a Lord or a Lady to consider a lighter tunic or dress than usual.

Military Might
The Tyrells are the Wardens of the South, defending the southern frontier of the Seven Kingdoms against occasional Dornish squabbles, though their impressive military might is not often used. The sheer size of The Reach, as the second largest kingdom of the Seven yet the most productive and one of the most dense, creates the largest army in Westeros. It means that whilst it can be difficult to muster troops to rally in any given direction, being able to call 80,000 bannermen is not one that is underestimated by any of the family, with almost 100,000 being a possibility with mercenaries and all levies called.
The soldiers are well trained, and well equipped, and whilst not all are weathered to long campaigns of war, House Tarly and Peake provide it's best levies, alongside the Reach Retinues, a pair of 10,000 strong garrisons at Tumbleton and Torrentpeak, a semi-professional force of soldiers using bows, crossbows, pikes, spears and poleaxes. The Reach's Knights are amongst the most chivalrous in the Seven Kingdoms, yet are more than just good in looks, but practical to deliver a hard-hitting punch that many a foe can forget. It's cavalry contingent is hard-hitting, often armoured in platemail and heavy chain, and beyond this, a ratio of three men to every one horse means that any army is often well-placed to hit hard when required, and even the commoners wearing basic leather and mail are still up to scratch to fight. Whilst the Westerlander army on the whole is more uniform in it's quality compared to the diverse nature of the Reach's army, and the North and Riverlands offer hardened, capable soldiers, the Reach is a significant military presence and cannot be underestimated in it's size and potency, both in it's quality and quantity.
This military might was used by the Gardeners to almost conquer the Stormlands prior to the Targaryen Invasion, yet the Reach's land borders force it to be wary with it's large army, and force it to be ready for threats from over four different borders, with Dorne's militarized nature, the Westerlander claim to the throne being the two that are the most worrisome to notice in current times.
Garland and Alerie remain both unmarried, and this is a huge threat- though the sprawling nature of the Tyrell family means that even if it were to pass to Rickard, there would still be a number of heirs, albeit far more along the cadet branches of House Tyrell. The dynasty is particularly strong, with the cadet branch of Tyrell-Hightower, the Tyrells of Brightwater Keep, and the Tyrells of Manderford, are three that come to mind when looking at great lords within the Reach that are indirectly ruled by a different line of the golden rose. Like their sigil, the family of the Rose has it's roots planted in many a place.

History
The Tyrells went into the War of the Five Kings strong and emerged from it stronger, being able to begin overruling their neighbouring Lannisters, and begin to change the tide of political balance in King's Landing. Mace Tyrell created a strong influence upon the Baratheon-Lannister throne, and whilst he was never Hand, he had at the very least, made a displacement that began the wheel of change for the family. However, the Targaryen Restoration was something that Mace did not account for, and he was vehemently opposed to this notion of opposing the Crown and supporting Danaerys, supporting the King and his married at all costs; out of love for Margaery, he sent men to fight the Targaryen Invasion. His family, members such as Willas, Garlan and Loras, among other bannermen, and many others in the Reach stubbornly disagreed with this view, with memories of previous Targaryen rule greatly benefiting The Reach as opposed to the mess that had been inherited by the Kings of recent times. Mace Tyrell backed the Targaryens when Robert Baratheon raised his flag in revolt...so why did he disagree with their restoration at that time? Few can say for certain, but Mace was found dead before the Targaryens even reached the unspoilt lands of the Reach, following the Battle of Nightsong.
His mysterious death has still never been explained, and there is many a rumour. Some say that his son, Willas, defenstrated him from the highest tower in Highgarden, some say that it was suicide. Mace was simply found dead at the base of a tower in Highgarden, and his maimed son, Willas, succeeded him- this much is very true.
Lord Willas "The Lame" Tyrell, Master of Coin, Lord Paramount of the Reach, Warden of the South, Defender of the Marches
Ruled: 301AL-354AL
The "Lame Lord" was a man who was clever, one of the Kingdom's best Falconers to boot, and knew the Tyrell-Targaryen fate was intertwined; after all, it was the Targaryens who brought the Tyrells to the Lordship of The Reach, when Aegon I Conqueror united the Six Kingdoms. He bent the knee to Daenerys Targaryen, and in the rest of the Targaryen reconquest, actively provided troops to her armies, assisting in the demise of House Lannister and the then generation of the Freys and Boltons. The death of the Lannister dynasty was something he enjoyed spectacularly, finally getting rid of those who had proved problematic for his brother and sister in years past, and within King's Landing itself. Willas Tyrell, whilst being a "Lame Lord", knew what this new Queen could bring, and served her without question, becoming her Master of Coin.
Willas was a good Lord, while he was lame, he was sensible, a generally pleasant and kind man. He was a particularly famous falconer, and after marrying Sansa Stark, an agreement made that would fold the North to the demands of the Southron Lords to remain a part of the Seven Kingdoms rather than secessionist, with Willas having four children. Establishing a defense against the Ironborn, as well as continuing to pledge forces to the Iron Throne, began the Tyrells continued co-operation with House Targaryen, easily becoming the second richest house, the Reach untouched by the warfare that still raged within some of the other regions of the Seven Kingdoms. Willas was a good ruler, many will agree upon that, and whilst he never was the most martially competent, he did the right thing for his realm, his hand guided by Olenna Tyrell, the very Queen of Thorns herself living until her late eighties, Willas himself dying aged 60.
Lord Merlin "The Rosethorn" Tyrell, Hand of the King, Lord Paramount of the Reach, Warden of the South, Defender of the Marches
Ruled: 354-375AL
His son, Merlin, succeeded him, an able administrator, a little more adept at the politics of King's Landing, and as of such, he was named Hand of the King due to his competency in the role and close relations with the Targaryen King. There is little to really comment here, other than a continuation of Willas's rule, with the Tyrells being the closest family to the Targaryens, and Merlin's martial capabilities being a little more significant- whilst he didn't read as much as Willas, he was a fine tourneyman, and began the initial development of the Reach that continued into the later Lords' lifetimes, with trade deals with distant Essosi lands formed, as well as a greater emphasis on weapons-forging, and exporting grain and wine to other parts of the realm. He established the Reach Retinues, a groundbreaking system of semi-professional levies that significantly improved the quality of the Reach's army, as well as investing heavily into the infrastructure of the Reach. Merlin was particularly bearded, and for a Southron, looked remarkably northern, perhaps due to his linage from Sansa Stark having some influence in his blood. He lived into his fifties, dying in his sleep.
----------------------------
Lord Jamie "The Green" Tyrell, Lord Paramount of the Reach, Warden of the South, Defender of the Marches
Ruled: 375-430AL
Jamie Tyrell on the other hand, was a different beast altogether. Jamie, from a young age, was a keen gardener, and loved spending time in Mazes, fields of roses, woods, anywhere outdoors, rather than inside his castle. When he inherited the Lord Paramountcy, it barely even changed. He began work on an enormous project, one that has only bared it's fruits in more recent times, that of the Rosewood. Jamie was not particularly mad, but moreover, obsessive, and when he wasn't gardening, he was drinking, falconing, jousting, or feasting, doing little productive to the wider Realm, yet being able to keep the peace. His wife, Elena Ambrose, appeared to be more the force behind the Lordship, and ran his Kingdom for him, all in the while of bearing three sons for him. Elena seemed at ease with Jamie, surprisingly enough, and it was no mistake that she did the work he should have really done.
Jamie lived into his eighties, and he was planting trees to the very end, they say, remarkably healthy all his life, and dying in his sleep, perhaps from old age. The nickname of Jamie "The Green" Tyrell, stuck with him for life, and he was said to have smelled of roses, bluebells, and pine. With a fine suit of platemail armour that has been passed down to Garland, that made him particularly striking, the short haired, bearded, flower-obsessed botanist was a particularly famous Lord, and his Rosewood has made him one of the most noted family members in House Tyrell, albeit if he didn't achieve a lot else. To this date, it is the second largest royal wood in the Seven Kingdoms, to the Kingswood, and is diverse, with many a beautiful spot to sit down and take in the deer and boar that roam, with forest flowers, and countless varieties of trees, from pines to oaks, birches to yews and conifers, some of which are surprising to see this far south. Even being an artificial construct, few can argue that it is not pleasing to visit, to all walks of life.
Lord Gregor Tyrell, Hand of the King, Lord Paramount of the Reach, Warden of the South, Defender of the Marches
Ruled: 430AL-446AL
Gregor Tyrell, Garland's Uncle, was a little more prudent, and wasn't flower obsessed. Rather, he was a fine tourneyman, and after marrying Lyanna Ashford, he settled down well to the task of being Hand of the King at first, before merely becoming a Small Council Member, in favour of a Velyrion appointed by Aegon X. Gregor was not the best administrator, but he was a fair man, and he knew the Reach's strengths, with his rule known as the "Flowering Years", owing to the fact that much was spent on infrastructure, and trade went from strength to strength, improving drastically over his rule. Towards the end of his rule, he became a little more arbitrary, and many worried that he had no heirs, apart from his only son, Alestair, born late into his rule due to his complete indifference. When he died from disease, aged 55, Alestair was barely two years of age.
Lord Alestair Tyrell, Lord Paramount of the Reach
Ruled: 446AL-447AL
Alestair's rule barely lasted a year, with his rule being mostly a regency, covered by Lyanna Tyrell and Garland Tyrell, a fragile power-sharing arrangement, that quickly rose to discontent, and a lack of stability in the Reach. There was little to hold the mostly autonomous parts of the pleasant Kingdom together, and whilst it was normally a dashing Lord who was known to all, Alestair was not this. It was thankful almost, that he didn't last.
---------------------------------------------
Lord Garland "The Young/Pale Rose" Tyrell, Hand of the King, Lord Paramount of the Reach, Warden of the South, Defender of the Marches
Rule: 447AL-Now
The death of the infant Lord Alestair Tyrell due to disease left the Reach initially a little at a crossroads, in regards to inherritance. The lack of siblings that Alestair had meant that the line passed over to Garland Tyrell; and meant that Garland was the new Lord Paramount of The Reach, with the chance to bring about a new order of things. Whilst Garland was perhaps not the most experienced or wisest of all rulers now in the Seven Kingdoms, he was able to find legitimacy in his own people at his young age, and able to get to work on making sure his vassals did not get any ideas of their own expansion. Inexperienced, yes, talented, indeed.
Quickly asserting his rule, the unmarried Garland was able to muster up against any squabbles over succession, and eventually, put himself back into the position that his uncle had been in, that of a Council role for the Targaryen Dynasty. Ever since the restoration, the Tyrells have been the right hand family for the Targaryens, even more so than the He served as Hand of the King for the last two years of his rule, and whilst many questioned why such a young man could do such a job, Aegon X clearly saw political merit to bestow this upon him, it seemed. Garland was unquestioningly loyal to the smart King, and they got on well as good friends, Garland as good as his ancestors were as a steward. This, and Daenys looked favourably upon Garland, though Garland did not like the twin Targaryen one bit, finding his attitudes and suspected homosexual feelings towards him creepy; and making sure to keep away at Council meetings. Making him Hand meant he effectively administered the Kingdoms that Aegon ruled, and this was something that he did well considering that war never broke out and...well, the once well-known game didn't repeat all over again, though he was forced to leave more sensitive matters to Alerie, knowing she was a far greater Spider than he would ever be.
The death of King Aegon X, and the successive problems have thrown the Tyrells into the very central of the fray, looking to retain their position of power, and prevent other Houses from capitalising from the chaos. So far, things have felt rather bittersweet for House Tyrell, with Garland getting wounded in the Battle of the Kingswood, and thousands of men dead, in the aftermath of it's defense. However, the Tyrells do control King's Landing, and at this point in time, are well and truly Kingmakers of their own design, with Garland as Hand, and Willas Tyrell as the Commander of the Goldcloaks. The Tyrells truly are, the finest stewarding House that the Seven Kingdoms have seen, some would say. Other would call it despotic madness, and that with such a great house, it must fall. Only time will tell what Lord Hand Garland Tyrell, the Young Rose, Warden of the South, shall leave as his legacy.
-----------------------------------
Political Economy
The years have been kind to the Reach, and whilst the economic growth is slowing down, The Reach's coffers are still very, very full. Some are mooting that Gregor Tyrell's rule were the "Flowering Years", or the period of time in which the Reach saw almost no bloodshed compared to it's neighbours, and sustained economic development under a responsible network of administrators, Lords, and merchants.
Ports thrived, cities expanded, castles were built, and to some extent, this continues into the beginning of Lord Garland's rule, the Reach's infrastructure and networks growing appropriately. The gold mines of the Westerlands do not exist here, but grain, wine, as well as weapons crafted in the forges of The Reach, have created astounding amounts of wealth- perhaps alongside that of the Tyrells' fingers in the machinery of the coffers of the Seven Kingdoms always giving them a little more money than they deserved. Population grew particularly along the banks of the Mander and Honeywine rivers, and despite infrequent bursts of plague, the people of the Reach are far and wide seen as the healthiest in Westeros.
Highgarden, Hightower and The Arbor are thriving in trade, and even attract shipping from as far afield as Astapor and Qarth, such is the demand for the wine and products produced by the relatively peaceful Reach. From the last hundred years, the Tyrells have had a huge impetus in shaping the politics of The Iron Throne, being the long-term trusted partner of the Targaryens following Mace's death, expected to be it's most loyal and obedient follower.
The Reach has not become involved in affairs of other Houses- they have left House Crakenhall to develop, seeing that they have their own squabbles to deal with, as did the formerly depleted houses of Baratheon, Arryn, Tully and Stark. Trade agreements have been made, and even the occasional marriage, but as the Seven Kingdoms became isolated into their own affairs, the Reach merely administered the bigger picture. But things have changed, and perhaps now, the Tyrells will be forced to change their long-term tactics in King's Landing, in order to change for these different times, with war to come.
--------------------------------------
Name: Lord Garland "The Young Rose" Tyrell Age: 21 Appearance and Personality:
Garland appears to have the traits of most Tyrells, very well kept long brown hair, and a swordsman's physique, being perhaps as strong as a Lord ought to be when it comes to wielding a weapon- a foe to fear, with tourneys and his prior experience giving him plenty of experience for his young age, and the appropriate strength that comes with it. A couple of scars from conflicts past still lie on his left shoulder, though it is difficult to immediately spot. Garland stands at 6"3, with hazel colored eyes, a short and striking beard that wraps around his chin, and a healthy complexion, his face neither too lean nor fat. By most standards, he is regarded as amongst the most beautiful men in The Reach, and he has found that it has been more than enough to attract women across the court, with fairly expected effects. At 21, he's had several bastards, the mothers of whom haven't even returned to Garland regarding it, which speaks volumes about Garland's charming nature- they seem humbled to have had a tumble with the Lord. His good looks are striking, and it doesn't seem to be just due to his young age, rather a permanent trait- he seems elegant, charming, a man who looks perfect to represent the Reach's chivalric heart, the Young Rose having a silhouette of a man, at least in The Reach, of something the Seven would want to create.
Beyond his looks, Garland is a quick figure, perhaps the luck of the draw giving him the ability to do well at getting down to the business of being Lord Paramount. This quickness perhaps allows him to continue the typical Tyrell traits that can be observed in many members of the family, particularly on the male side- being astute, gregarious and chivalrous, having a high sense of honor and a high regard to family. He has courage and while not addicted to violence, is happy to get stuck into a fight. As a commander, he serves well, being able to make reasonable tactical decisions on both his theoretical knowledge and his previous experiences, though he is no legendary figure on the battlefield, not yet at least. On the surface, appears to be kind and charitable, a good hearted fellow- though it seems that the last two years have hardened his resolve and made him a little cynical towards some topics. While he is impaired by being still a recent ruler in The Reach, and significantly younger than most of his fellow Lords Paramount, he does not overestimate or underestimate his position. He still has much to learn about the true horrors of politics in King's Landing, yet seems able to comprehend how to present his image, being smart enough to know when to lie and when to be honest, and as an administrator, he is well suited to be Hand- he knows how to handle money, people, dissidents, as well as project his own ambitions into the job. He still does need to improve his skills in general rulership, however, and to drop his parts of his provincial nature, that of a lower character than a Lord. Whilst he is no Spider when it comes to plotting, if it allows himself and everyone in his family to benefit, he will plot against those external threats that seek to damage the The Reach, leaving this business often to his sister, Alerie, in order to protect his own reputation. Ultimately, it is the only chink in his otherwise Knightly-approach to the world.
On the field of combat, Garland can be seen wearing a Reach-produced suit of plate armour- the designs from this part of the world always raising eyebrows in other parts of the Kingdom, as a result of the many curves and details that they entail, clearly being a highly-strewn piece of work- roses and flowers intricately scratched into the armour, making distinct ridges that seem to fully validate Garland as a Lord Paramount of The Reach. The armour was worn by a younger Jamie "the Green" Tyrell, and as an heirloom, has not lost it's beauty. While the metalworkers of the Reach are not renowned in the Kingdoms, the artistic flair and beauty of such armour is distinctly eyecatching for members of the Tyrell family, being exceptionally expensive, with the silver and gold used in it's construction truly fitting the "Young Rose". He usually wields a longsword, paired with a large wooden heater shield, fighting in the traditional Westerosi fashion. Training puts him a league above most Hedge Knights- though being the head of the House means he has little time to rehearse as he once could. Off the tourney field or battlefield, he can be seen wearing a expensive white, gold and green tunic, suitable for the fairly temperate to semi-arid climate of the Reach, being usually more than enough, if not a more suitable garb for colder climes.
Biography:
An unlikely Lord Paramount, but one that seemingly got lucky. The Reach find Garland a man of chivalry and binding servitude to his family, being generally lusted for by Reachwomen of all types, though without the benefit of a long serving ruler's wisdom.
Garland was born in Highgarden to Moryn Tyrell, the brother to the then Lord Paramount of The Reach, Gregor Tyrell, and received an education that would only befit a child in a position such as himself. Whilst he was only a mere Nephew of the current Lord, he was taught by both maesters and a tutor, in methods of swordsmanship and learning. He squired for many a Knight, one of whom was Belgrave Tarly, in his youth, his wit certainly developing from the personalities he met. It was a typical education for Tyrell, it seemed- and Garland was acknowledged as being a quick lad, definitely of use to the family in one way or another. He had no idea of what his future held- he had considered becoming a man of the Kingsguard, but swiftly rejected this after he found himself perhaps too attached to female admirers, leaving a small trail of bastards in his wake at festivities held in Highgarden. Instead, he was offered the chance to work within the Court in Highgarden, assisting with the administration of the Reach, and from the age of 16 onwards, was actively involved in the inner workings of running a Lordship. Fighting was still his talent, but he found it was not something he could do as often, already becoming involved in helping to run the Reach. He was concerned with numbers, and making sure that the Kingdom's men and vassal houses kept the knee bent towards the family of the gold rose, almost acting in a diplomatic sense to maintain The Reach's power internally.
Garland ran the Lordship where the Lady Regent could not- most prominently, and on more than one occasion, defending against incursions from the Iron Islander raids, whenever they dared head further south than the rich ports of Lannisport and the other towns of the Westerlands. It was a well balanced approach, and whilst there was no promise of land at the end of it all, he served the infant Alestair Tyrell without question, both acting as a Commander and Chancellor throughout this period. Things did however, begin to change- both negatively and positively for Garland.
Death struck quickly within the Tyrells as the border war began to approach it's apex, and Moryn, his father. died when Garland was only 18, killed by infection following maiming from a Dornish spear. He felt terrified, yet this event itself was not the worst event that could occur in the family, with only a few months later the infant Lord Paramount of the Reach passing away from illness. It was that terror and anxiety that had to be cleared almost immediately if Garland was to take on his new responsibility.
The death of Alestair meant that succession in the Tyrell branch had to continue one way or another, and what seemed like an imminent power struggle between himself and the Lady Regent, Lyanna Tyrell, never occurred, as Garland immediately returned to Highgarden with a contingent of Hightower men to keep the peace for his Lordship. This meant that the 19-year old was now the new Lord Paramount, placed into a position of power of the expanse of The Reach. It felt strange, and whilst many thought that he would crack under the pressure, Garland adopted well to being the Warden of the South. Garland was not taught that he would become the Lord Paramount, rather he would be merely some lower-down Commander and perhaps at best, a representative for the family in King's Landing. Yet his practical experiences sent a clear message, that he could maintain the status quo of The Reach, run it as his predecessors had. He was named "The Young Rose" for his increasing determination to keep The Reach together in the face of these minor squabbles and issues, and was adept at holding together the fabric of the agricultural lands of The Reach. That, and his good looks on and off the battlefield let to this nickname to arise, his appearance one that seemed naturally gifted to this attribute this nickname.
Within the scope of the Kingdom, Garland holds a confident grip on his position as Lord Paramount, with a great opportunity to grow and develop his mind, if he keeps his head on his shoulders. War does not fill the Seven Kingdoms just yet, and whilst Garland understands that the grain shall be great come Autumn, it is what next that shall cement the Tyrells in a position of true power over the continent, rather than just The Reach. After all, Garland was taught that the Seven Kingdoms call on the Tyrells when they go to war, and call on them for food. It is a position to obtain great levels of power, and whilst Garland understands he is loyal to the Targaryen King, now he is gone there is a position for change. He is not cunning enough to have driven this thought himself- this has emerged moreover from Alerie, who has given him the idea and impetus perhaps, to do so. Being Hand of the King before Aegon's death also had an enormous impact on his role as a forger of the politics of the Seven Kingdoms, and while it was something that many ostracized, few did deny that Garland did a reputable job of keeping the Seven Kingdoms from falling apart, without getting murdered. Few Hands have done that successfully, and thus far, Garland has been able to keep his head fixed on his shoulders, though perhaps this is less attributed to Garland, and rather, Aegon X's own prowess at keeping the peace, as well as the relative stability of the Kingdoms in the aftermath of the years of bloodshed.
Apart from rulership, of which Garland has been forced to employ several advisers from vassal houses to assist in dealing with wider-spread law making and justice, but being able to manage the day-to-day diplomatic running of the kingdom with his vassals that serve under his name more personally than most Lords- envisioning himself as a Lord who rules as a natural right in The Reach, yet providing a stake to those who serve well. It's a visionistic approach, but Garland understands he cannot do this alone without experienced individuals being able to deal with petty issues that were once his domain. His gregarious nature means that he enjoys throwing lavish Fairs, with the Harvest seeing one in the planning stages already, for another good yield- and at these fairs, all manner of debauchery and actions can occur. Garland is also interested by Falconry, being another hobby that he enjoys partaking in.
-------
Name: Alerie Tyrell Age: 17 Appearance:
Standing at 5"6, with a thin and short, yet well developed frame, Alerie is visibly beautiful, her youth still running strong and making this occur. With a moderate bust, and hazel eyes, she clearly has caught the attention of more than just one Reach Knight, though she has not yet found a suitable man to wed, one that would increase the family's already formidable connections. Alerie happens to have a burgundy-red hair, something that seems a little unexplained- given the family's strong trend towards passing down the dark brown hair throughout the family's offspring. None the less, Alerie still holds a wonderful physique, and makes no mistake in showing it off.
Alerie's personality is sharp, thorny and most definitely a darker side to the chivalric touches that House Tyrell has- though you won't see it immediately, because her appearance and outlook towards others in public is highly controlled. She is as quick as her brother, if not more intelligent, and she can often subtly watch others' deceptions, wittingly putting up her own where she pleases without barely even blinking. Her knowledge of what assets she has, both in her beauty and of scheming compensate for her lack of wisdom and life experiences; she has already learned through her young years that men will do anything for a woman like her, and as such, beyond this far more can be done. She has the utmost respect for Garland, but understands that sometimes more dastardly approaches must be taken to make the family's power echo- being tutored by the Lady Regent making this idea stick in her mind. She still has a lot to learn, however- and understands that she must prepare to scale up her already existing thorns in her personality, in preparation for the political pressures to come in King's Landing. She seems openly charitable, being very careful regarding her image towards her peers, almost being a master of presenting herself correctly. Whilst her gregarious and otherwise positive and glowing demeanour can make but the coldest of hearts feel at home, being famed for her warm and good nature, below this facade a calculating and sophisticated mind is at work, for her young age proving clearly her ambitions.
She can often be seen wearing a dark green and gold dress, embroidered with golden roses across it's surface- a fortune to pay for, as a result of it's intricate dressmaking and the expensive dyes used, being suitably revealing at the bust but not uncomfortable- giving her a charming image when at court. The ante is increased, as at a fair, she may wear an even more expensive garb, with corsets and eloquent golden and green dresses coming out for the show; a reminder that even at 17, she has an aware knowledge of her need to impress, acting as the Vanguard of the most exuberantly dressed women in The Reach. Her aurora seems to be well projected when she is in a room, because no matter how silly some Northmen or Ironborn may consider it, it turns heads.
Biography and Personality:
There's always something about the women in the Tyrell family, like a gift from the Seven. A sharp wit, and an even sharper appearance, a charm and an intelligence that gives them the capability to make the Tyrell family almost Matriarchal. Whilst that may not be the case in current times, Alerie is a fine example of one very capable female member of the House.
Born in Highgarden, Alerie is the second oldest sibling currently in the family, born to Moryn and Elinor Tyrell. She was the second of the second, so to speak, but as her brother was educated, so she was too. She was taught how to be a lady in the court, and was given tutors and also teaching from the then Lady Lyanna Tyrell, learning the way of the world. She was taught particularly well by Lyanna how to lie and how to present herself, being a beautiful girl and uncannily good at concealing the truth, something that Lyanna was indeed very impressed by. The years rolled by, and the death of Gregor Tyrell meant that Alerie was suddenly faced with a new reality- that of her grandmother being around less in order to act as Lady Regent to Alestair Tyrell, leaving Alerie more to her own devices. This she did, and outside of playing the harp and horse riding around the wooded estates surrounding the banks of the Mander, she embarked on learning the ins and outs of the local politics, often spying on the other ladies of the court and the debauchery they got up to.
The ascent of Garland Tyrell meant she followed him in power, now as the Lord Paramount's sister which has resulted in the last couple of years of her tutorship being created a little different to what she had before. She has been tutored in ways that perhaps indicate a higher calling, one that in the coming months, may lead to Alerie helping the family climb the slipper ladder in the Seven Kingdoms by a different mean than just a mere council position. She has been taught far more on how to be the woman of the House, and to act as the thornier Rose in comparison to Garland, to continue to impress at fairs and banquets, and play the part in making sure the family stays in power.
----
Name: Rickard Tyrell Age: 14 Appearance:
Rickard stands at about 5"0, a short lad, not expected to grow significantly more than this, with his weak disposition resulting in this trait. He has the brown hair of the family, having it kept far shorter than Garland- his brown eyes and well placed facial features suggesting that this is a lad that is definitely a Tyrell. That said, as a result of his weak nature, he is unable to walk for prolonged periods of time, using a cane to move around, and cannot do any menial physical task of any kind.
Rickard is quite shy, quiet to say the least, compared to his very gregarious and courageous brethren. He seems to have a clear indication of what he wants to say, being very mature and knowledgeable for his age- he has almost a cynical trait, always finding out things, always seeming to apply his knowledge. He seems bright, but not in a way that would perhaps apply a more practical edge to things, such as Garland or Alerie's more practical or charming natures.
Biography:
Rickard is Moryn and Elinor Tyrell's third and youngest son, a son that proved to break the charm of good luck that had been seen in Garland and Alerie, as a crippled boy. He was expected to die following his birth, but survived, due to some sort of miracle from the Seven, perhaps something else that kept him alive in his frail state. Whatever reason, he was weak in disposition, and has to use a cane to walk, his spine and general body being significantly weaker than most. Whilst able to move, he seems to lack an energy of boys of his type, being just unable to do much good. This left him in a strange position- the third born was never a son of any high relevance, not him. He was never brought up as lavishly as Garland and Alerie, though he was provided with a tutor and books, to educate himself on the world. This was something that Rickard took to strongly, and seemed to be the best solution for his predicament.
Learning and book reading was Rickard's passion, from epic poems of previous Targaryen conquests to those dating back beyond into the rule of the Gardeners, on the life and times of the peoples of The Reach. History, classic literature, whatever Rickard could get his hands on, he read. Rather than a formidable set of swordsmanship skills or political shrewdness, Rickard appears to be more of a scholar. He seems to have a similar quickness to his brother and sister, albeit not in the same way.
Rickard is still a young lad, and is expected to become a Maester, though Garland and Alerie, his older guardians, still have doubts about his physical capabilities to fulfill this end. In this regard, he is the Tyrell that some of the family would not mention, though Garland loves him as his only brother, and only wants the best for him- knowing that he would serve the family best in Oldtown, safe and away from the problems to come.
Name: Ser Willas Tyrell Age: 45 Appearance:
Willas stands at around 6"4, even at the age of 45, he seems to still hold a presence, particularly when in plate. He looks like far more of a fighter than Garland is, though perhaps his reflexes have come down with time, yet his strength and agility still are maintained, able to keep up with younger Kingsguards. He is not the best Knight in the realm, not that he ever was, but Willas is a cut above many when it comes to fighting, from his well maintained physique- though arguably, it is more technique that is keeping his good level of swordsmanship up, compared to younger members of the Kingsguard. He has a scar that runs across his left forearm, coming from a slash that almost meant he lost his hand- though recovery for Willas seemed to prove lucky. His face is worn, and he appears burnt out.
His personality is that of a particularly loyal, yet morally questionable one. He holds to the authority of his family, and before Aegon's death, he would have counted the late King as being one of them. Yet he has no qualms with abandoning his post, and answering the call of his family, even with where he should be. The Tyrell traits continue in him, his appearance worn and tired, burnt out from decades of war and conflict. His chivalry and honor is perhaps a little different to most's expectations, but he knows that fair play went out of the window a long time ago in King's Landing, being far more pragmatic than sticking to high ideals that he learned by. He seems to be cynical, and competent at what he does, though he is more obedient than anything else- he is clever enough to not fuck up an order, but not cunning enough to work like his Nephew and Niece can. He knows who he is, a Knight of the Reach, and a former Kingsguarder second, loyal to family, not coin.
Willas can usually be seen prepared for war, wearing his plate and scale armor that he wore in the Kingsguard, albeit he has had the designs and patterns altered- opting for a more Reachman-produced helmet, and scribing a Rose into the gauntlets, almost as a renunciation of his Kingsguard duties. The armor has faded from it's silver, dulled and worn, and he no longer wears a White Cloak, as his duty has lapsed. His prowess with a longsword and shield is impressive, but with a Poleaxe, he has found he is extremely dangerous, able to disarm, stab and smash foes in, even on horseback or in plate, with Willas being one of the finest users of such a niche weapon in the Seven Kingdoms. Willas does fight in the traditional Westerosi style, but with a Poleaxe, it is difficult to expect what on earth he will do. If you catch him out of his armour, he usually wears a green and gold tunic and leather boots.
Biography:
Willas is Garland's uncle, the youngest son of Jamie Tyrell, and youngest brother of the deceased Gregor Tyrell; and was never expected to have any titles or names bestowed upon himself. Born in Highgarden and given the same good tuition as his older brothers, Moryn and Gregor, he tended to stray from the usual patterns. Finding himself an expert with a sword and shield, he opted instead to become a Knight of the Reach, desiring miltary service over any other work. Squired by Ser Lyonel Tarly, Willas was Knighted at the age of 21, and proved to be one of the greatest Reach Knights of his time, with a natural technique that mixed a blend of extended fighting with sharp counter attacks, complimenting full plate and a heavy shield and sword when on foot. Fighting clean, Willas did not often get the chance to walk a battlefield, but he was the man that was called to lead forces in the Reach within a few years.
Willas became his brother's right hand man, as Master-at-Arms, serving the Kingdom of the Reach loyally as one of it's most senior military figures. His youth was spent jousting, sparring and on more than one good occasion, killing. He opted not to marry, simply seeing no need as he was too busy either drilling people, or taking up. Many know that Willas had at least one bastard, Tybalt Flowers- his death at the young age of 6 from sickly health being something that perhaps put him off ever being a family man again.
He opted to join the Kingsguard at the age of 35, after dedicated service to The Reach, his skills as a Knight being appreciated in the inner circles of King's Landing. Perhaps it was also a token gesture, that Aegon allowed Willas to serve the Crown best, giving some appeasement to the Tyrells' demands, because whilst Willas is among the most skilled Knights in the Seven Kingdoms, he isn't the most definitive. He served without much of a blemish, and whilst never becoming senior, with ten years of service, always passing it over in favour of a better candidate, he became a trusted figure to Aegon X Targaryen. He knew the man as well as Garland did, as many of the Tyrells got to knew the King, and with his death, he found himself left without service.
In the most recent turn of events, he has not been seen with the rest of the Kingsguard following Aegon X Targaryen's death, and rather, has come back to Tyrell service. Such a treasonous action is something that in these times, seems to serve to seriously tarnish his name, though perhaps bigger squabbles in the capital are making his exploit relatively low key, working in his advantage that his return to his Lord Paramount's service has changed things. He does not desire his nephew's role, but knows he must act to help the Young Rose from his inexperience, to hold down the family's power. He is now in King's Landing, and with a small retinue (20) of Tyrell men that have been posted in King's Landing since Mace Tyrell's work as Master of Coin generations ago, Willas is now in a position to help his family once again. No doubt, he is a marked man if he stays in King's Landing for too long- a Kingsguard such as him should never run, and there is only one penalty for such an action if a King decides that Willas left the Kingsguard on his own will.

Name: Lyanna Tyrell Age: 47 Personality:
Lyanna is why Alerie is the Queen of Thorns, a woman with a heart that is practically made of the stuff, being cold, calculating and particularly cynical. She is harsh, and has an uncanny ability to see straight into a character, rather than any deception they put up. Her reclusive nature following Gregor's death has not rubbed off onto Alerie, however- this being more self-imposed, and perhaps for the Reach's benefit, so as not to be a backseat driver in Garland's rule. She seems to now be more interested in simply educating, and doesn't interact an awful lot with Garland and Alerie, sticking to her own and not being involved in courtly politics as she once was.
Biography:
Lyanna Tyrell (nee Ashford) was born to House Ashford, growing up in the flowing fields of the Reach, and as a young girl, took to harps, to gossip, and to reading well. She took to boys, and to their secrets, to their little games and to what they did. And she read them like a book.
She married the dashing Gregor Tyrell barely aged 20, back when he was in the middle of his tourney career, and it seemed strange then, that the two only ever produced one kin, Alestair. Whilst you would have thought that such an exceptionally attractive couple would have probably had more time together than they did, Gregor's absence in King's Landing, wining and dining, alongside Lyanna's chaste, meant that they did not find themselves flinging themselves at each other much. But that wasn't a problem. Lyanna enjoyed it, and she always kept Gregor's realm with a close eye over his shoulder, always making sure to look after, to take care of what he did not. The women of the Reach are good at this, it seems. Gregor was ruler in title and presence, Lyanna was his shadow, and perhaps, more influential than Gregor himself.
Gregor's sudden death, followed a few years later by Alestair's, left the once strong, deceptive and extremely wily woman to mourn, and it seems to have had a long-term effect. She did truly show affection for Gregor, even in his older age, and herself, had run out of challenges. Younger breeds were coming along, and bringing their flowers to the table. Her finest pupil, Alerie Tyrell, and her older brother were the ones that saw that envisioned as reality, in the aftermath of Lord Alistair Tyrell the Young's death; Garland making sure that Lyanna did not attempt to resist or to stop what was his by right. Garland did the rest of the work to Lyanna that cemented who he now was- the new Lord Tyrell of the Reach, and that it would not be argued with, or tampered with in how he ruled his realm. He was no Gregor, that much he stated. Lyanna respected this decision, and had chosen not to be a back-seat driver; at first uneasy with how quickly Garland accented to the title from relatively nothing, yet later becoming more understanding of the realities of Highgarden's foes, and the wider realm's responsibility to the Reach. Women seem to unofficially hold the balance of power in the seat of Highgarden, but it seemed that Garland's cloth for ruling his Kingdom was different.
As of late, Lyanna has been quite to herself, and rarely is involved in matters of the Reach, and whilst her great wisdom and ability to rule has become faded, it is known. She was once a Regent, but appears to have now just given in on letting things run- when Garland can do it himself, alongside Alerie and the other advisors. So as to appease him, she keeps out of his way, and at current point, is the tutor to younger girls of the Tyrell branches, imparting wisdom and cunning to those who wish to learn. However, Lyanna does make her presence in the times where someone wise is needed, when someone is needed. Particularly with Alerie, she is at her most spidery; and Lyanna seems to just know how the pieces fall, even if she is not playing. Some say she is brash outside of her calmed demeanor, yet just how a Lady of the Reach works, is for Maesters and for Septons to understand entirely.
Appearance:
Lyanna looks far older than forty-seven, which is a strange trait, considering she once was told to be the most wonderful looking woman in the whole of The Reach, and was possibly the main reason Gregor Tyrell married her. The blood in her veins has perhaps gone colder, and with it, age has caught up. Lyanna is usually seen wearing a dark green dress, the fabric of which wraps it's way up her neck, almost to the back of her head. The colour almost like the colour of the pines in the Rosewood, and her dark brown hair has whitened in places, though her hair is not entirely grey as of yet, her brown eyes holding a sharp gaze.
Name: Lord Loras Hightower-Tyrell Age: 36 Seat: The Hightower, Oldtown Heir: Harlan Hightower-Tyrell Personality:
Loras seems a little oafish, to say the least- for a man of such incredible power, binding two Great Houses within The Reach, you would think this resulted in a man who can rule the High Lordship of Oldtown with a certain prowess, like Garland institutes in his example. No. Loras is gregarious, and has a good sense of when to throw a party, or to be generally cheerful or helpful, though he doesn't sometimes seem awfully good at it. He doesn't seem to have the same sharp senses that the current Lord Paramount and his sister possess, and most of the time, he is probably just punting. Yet he does have some sense- the sense that can run a Lordship, be a family man, do the right thing. His heart is in the right place. His mind, mostly. But he will never be great, or never do anything defiant, or truly groundbreaking. Most people would agree, he has a lot of power, and placating him as the Hand to Lord Tyrell is a good move, because he'd never want more, or easily be able to claim more than that. Yet it would be a fool's move to suggest he take power, over pretty much anyone in the main ruling dynasty of the Tyrell family.
Biography:
Loras Hightower-Tyrell was born in a marriage of both his father from House Tyrell and his mother, from House Hightower, the last of her name, and the last of a generation. As a compromise, to prevent the total Tyrell dominance of the realm through it's cadet houses, the double-barreled House of Tyrell-Hightower was created, with an agreement that the Hightowers would continue on as a House in name, albeit shrouded in a Tyrell ancestry. In his upbringing, Loras mainly lived in Oldtown, finding often chances to play with the other lads, though he didn't excel at fighting, nor in court, nor in anything. He just seemed like a bright little star to his parents, when in reality, he just seemed to just indulge in his gifted childhood. He served in the courts and in the armies, yet didn't really do anything of particular note. The death of his father at 25 changed this.
He was the first Lord of the Hightower that was not a member of House Hightower, and the name died with his mother, leaving Loras to be the first of his new rule. He quickly asserted his power over his Lordship, and found he was able to take control the situation, whilst now tending to his new family. He married Alison Goldengrove, and found his way onto the Council in Highgarden, advising Gregor, Alistair, then eventually, Garland Tyrell, rising from little more than advisory work to his age and knowledge of the Reach just allowing him to become Hand to Garland- this role more placating, than merited. He didn't make a mess of things when Garland left for the capital on lengthy terms to run the Seven Kingdoms as Hand of the King, but neither did he entirely improve upon things. Loras merely kept the peace, and on more than one occasion, threw a party that involved a fair amount of Arbor. When push came to shove, he could be counted upon, but not to provide any particular expertise or specialization.
Loras has four children with his wife, Alison (nee Goldengrove)- Harlan, Merlin, Brynden and Alys; the former two being twins aged 13, Alys being 11, and Brynden being five years of age. Harlan is the presumed heir of Loras, being a boy of long-haired and similarly gregarious nature that takes after his father. Merlin appears to be far more inclined towards fighting and martial studies; and whilst Harlan seems to be more playful, gregarious and capable of study, Merlin seems to always be out, and wants to simply spar, not finding any interest in rulership or any responsibility in his arbitrary way; though he does get on well with his twin, he doesn't really care for people, appearing removed and a little ruthless. Alys appears to take after her mother, Alison, particularly enjoying playing the harp, whilst Brynden seems to be a little more difficult to determine, at his young age.
Appearance:
Loras stands at about 5"11, and holds a fairly well-built frame. He was a former jouster, but this was put out of question after a sharp wound put him off ever returning to the Tourney field- that, and his father's untimely death. He has shortened dark brown hair, and a trimmed beard, his face clean almost to stubble, and Loras looks like he is an individual racing towards middle age, and worst still, the increasing bill of responsibility in family and realm. He has put on a little weight since the end of him ever riding into a joust, but he is still relatively fit, well, as a fit as a man of his age should be, and still able with a sword. He can usually be seen wearing a darkened golden tunic, formal in most of his appearances, with his hair neat and his brown eyes usually a little indifferent. He seems formal, but with enough Arbor, he isn't.
House Nymeros Martell, known more commonly just as House Martell, are the ruling House of Dorne. Their current ruler is Prince Qeron III Martell. The Martells have ruled Dorne since Mors Martell wed the Rhoynish princess Nymeria, who led a conquest to unite the petty kings of Dorne and ultimately topple the region's self-proclaimed High King, Yorrick V Yronwood. Since the marriage of Princess Myriah Martell to Daeron II Targaryen, the Martells have loyally served the Targaryen Kings, and supported Queen Daenerys in the Targaryen restoration. However in the last century the Martells have become increasingly distant from the Iron Throne, more preoccupied with internal power struggles and growing further apart from the other Kingdoms of Westeros, having only managed to completely reunite the region around three decades ago.
Seat: Sunspear
"Sunspear's history is a curious one. Having been little more than the squat, ugly keep called the Sandship in early days under the Martells, beautiful towers baring the Rhoynish fashion would eventually spring up around it. It became known as Sunspear when the sun of the Rhoyne was wedded to the Spear of the Martells. In time, the Tower of the Sun and the Spear Tower were both constructed - the great golden dome of the one, and the slender, high spire of the other becoming the first things that visitors beheld by land or sea.
The castle sits on a spur of land, surrounded on three sides by water, and on the fourth side by the shadow city. Though the Dornish may call it a city, it remains no more than a town, and a queer, dusty, ugly town at that. The Dornish built up against the walls of the Sunspear, then up against the walls of their neighbour's homes, and so on out, until the shadow city took on its current form. Today, it is a warren of narrow alleys, bazaars filled with the spices of Dorne and the east, and the homes of the Dornish built of mud brick that remains cool even in the height of the burning summer.
The Winding Walls were raised some seven hundred years ago, wrapping Sunspear and winding throughout the Shadow City in a snaking, defensive curtain that would force even the boldest enemy to lose their way. Only the Threefold Gate provides a straight path to the castle, cutting through the Winding Walls, and these gates are heavily defended at need."
Maester Yandel, sometime during the reign of Tommen I Baratheon
Military
The Martells have one of the smaller armies in Westeros, worn down by years of internal conflict between noble Houses. Now, their army numbers around 35,000 men. Their tactics are normally dependent upon guerrilla and skirmish tactics rather than openly meeting opposing armies in the field, where they are often outnumbered and insufficiently armoured. In terms of equipment, Dornish soldiers usually fight in loose-fitting robes covered with small, light metal discs due to the hot climate of Dorne. This form of armour provides less protection but does provide the advantage of affording more mobility and greater speed than much of the armour issued among other Westerosi armies. Spears, small shields and double-curved bows tend to be the most common weapons among Dornish soldiers.
A particular strength of their military rests upon the world-renowned sand steeds that they use as mounts. Capable of running with incredible swiftness for unparalleled periods of time without tiring, the Dornish have worked hard to incorporate these powerful cavalry options into their forces. The mounted archers of the Dornish are the best in Westeros, and their mounted warriors are as skilled as any other. Matching up against other Houses, the Martells seem to excel with cavalry options and light infantry, but struggle to field medium or heavily-armoured troops, lack basic ranged options and siege equipment, and struggle to supply their army. However, no-one wants to see Dorne return to the divided province it had become in the last century, and now the Dornish army fights with the fire of the sun as a united and ferocious army.
The Dornish has little military navy. The majority of their ships are dedicated to trade, although still they have few of these ships in comparison to other Westerosi kingdoms. The Dornish have rarely had need for ships; invading forces hoping to land on their shores will more often than not be met with inhospitable desert. The waters around Dorne are rumoured to be littered with whirlpools, sharks and even Kraken, posing as much threat to Dornish ships as anyone else and making travel by sea about the province difficult.

Recent History
303 AC - The Death of Doran Martell. Doran's death sees his heiress, his eldest daughter Arianne Martell, become Lady of Sunspear and Princess of Dorne. Arianne held great love from her subjects, baring more resemblance to her uncle Oberyn Martell than her own father, whom she regarded as weak. Instead, Dorne had a new ruler, one of action and passion. Dorne's future looked as bright as the sun on its sigil. Little did they know that the ascension of Arianne Martell would mark the beginning of one of the darkest centuries in Dornish history.
304 AC - Arianne Martell marries Korro Allyrion. The whole of Dorne rejoices as their Princess takes a husband from a powerful Dornish House. Korro Allyrion becomes Prince of Dorne and Lord of Sunspear.
308 AC - The Fall of Arianne Martell. For four years rumours of Korro Allyrion's impotence had spread throughout Dorne as no heir was born to the couple. Arianne, fiery and impatient, began to misstep. Blaming the new Queen Daenerys Targaryen for the death of her younger brother Quentyn Martell across the Narrow Sea, Arianne revealed that she had long since been planning, alongside the notorious Sand Snakes, to rebel against the crown and restore Dorne to the independent principality it had been in the time of the first Targaryen Kings. Knowing that to do so would bring certain destruction to House Martell and years of misery for the people of Dorne, Prince Trystane Martell began to conspire with his sister's council to depose the Princess and make himself Lord of Sunspear.
In a single, bloody night, Trystane acted, along with lords Yronwood, Blackmont and Manwoody. The Sand Snakes were put to the sword, deemed too dangerous to be kept alive, and Arianne was seized and imprisoned along with the councillors who supported her plans. Trystane showed mercy to his sister and sent her, along with her councillors, across the Narrow Sea in exile to live out the rest of their days in the Free Cities. Trystane assumed the mantle of Lord of Sunspear and Prince of Dorne, and appointed the Lords who had supported his plot to his council.
308 AC - Trystane Martell weds Anyara Dayne. This would cause great tension in the next decade between House Dayne and its cadet branch of High Hermitage.
309 AC - Birth of Prince Oberyn II Martell, eldest son of Trystane and Anyara Martell.
311 AC - Birth of Princess Arianne II Martell, second child of Trystane and Anyara Martell.
316-317 AC - The Starfall War. The cadet branch of House Dayne, lords of High Hermitage, had grown to resent their parent House after the marriage of Anyara Dayne to Trystane Martell, branding them traitors for marrying into a dishonourable and treacherous family. In 316 AC, Lord Carrick Dayne of High Hermitage sent a raven to the neighbouring Houses of Dorne, calling for a rising to crush the Lord of Starfall and appoint an honourable House in their place. However, House Dayne was an ancient House held in high regard, and none took up arms against them. Instead, Lord Arthur Dayne of Starfall led his men to the gates of High Hermitage, storming the castle and slaughtering all inside, including Lord Carrick and his family. In the aftermath, Trystane thanked House Dayne for helping to keep the peace in his Kingdom, and appointed Ser Sedric Stonecast, a Knight in service to House Dayne, as the new Lord of High Hermitage.
320 AC - Lewyn Sand born, the bastard son of Trystane born of his Paramour.
326 AC - Hellholt renamed to Dragonfall at the request of Lord Karsan Uller in recognition of the death of the mighty Meraxes. Many feared the Targaryens would see this as an insult but nothing came of it.
330 AC - Arianne II Martell passes away. Fever takes the couple's 19 year old daughter, causing Anyara to be overcome with grief.
331 AC - Anyara Martell dies. Overcome with grief at the death of her only daughter, Anyara Martell strangles and kills Trystane's paramour out of anger that his bastard lives while his trueborn does not, before taking her own life by jumping from the Spear Tower.
335 AC - Trystane Martell marries Lyanna Fowler. Despite his old age of 58, Trystane Martell takes another wife, and fails to produce any more children by her.
344 AC - Trsytane Martell passes away. Old age takes the Prince of Dorne and he dies aged 67. Oberyn II Martell becomes Prince of Dorne.
345-352 AC - The Yronwood Rebellion. Oberyn II Martell had spent much of his young life outside of Dorne travelling the world, and many saw him as unfit to rule the Dornish. House Yronwood, ever rebellious, saw an opportunity to rise up against House Martell and restore House Yronwood as the High Kings of Dorne, as they had been before the days of Nymeria of the Rhoyne.
Lord Yoren Yronwood declared his rebellion, and was met with support from Houses Uller, Jordayne and Gargalen. Dorne split into a state of open civil war, with Houses Dayne, Manwoody, Qorgyle, Dalt, Wyl, Santagar and Fowler declaring for House Martell. Houses Allyrion, Vaith, Stonecast and Toland remained neutral. In an attempt to dissuade Houses from Oberyn Martell's cause, Yoren marched 3,000 men to Spottswood and laid waste to House Santagar, slaughtering their 13 year-old lord and his regent uncle, destroying House Santagar.
And so began a guerrilla war that would see the deaths of nearly 6,000 Dornishmen from both sides. Seeing that his side was hopelessly losing, Lord Gargalen defected to the Martell cause, turning his men on his encamped allies and slaughtering over 1,000 men from Houses Jordayne and Yronwood. The war would go on for 2 more years, however, before eventually a joint Qorgyle-Manwoody-Martell force marched on Yronwood. Oberyn argued that no more death was needed; that Yoren should come out and face him and settle this war with a duel. Oberyn II Martell defeated Yoren Yronwood in single combat and ended the rebellion.
Lord Yronwood was defeated and his lands and titles were passed on to his daughter, for his sons had fought in the rebellion. The Yronwood sons were sent to the Wall, along with Lord Uller. Lord Gargalen's eldest son was taken to Sunspear as a ward to House Martell for his part in the earlier stages of the rebellion. Lady Jordayne was exiled across the Narrow Sea. The bastard of House Qorgyle was given Lordship over Spottswood and legitimised for serving as one of Oberyn's captains, but instead took the name of Sandstone after the home he grew up in.
352 AC - Oberyn II weds Joanna Manwoody.
353 AC - Lewyn II Martell born as the eldest child of Oberyn and Joanna Martell.
355 AC - Lewyn Sand send to Oldtown. Oberyn II had great love for his bastard brother but wanted him to be happy, so he sent him to become a Maester of the Citadel.
356 AC - Ellaena Martell born, eldest daughter and second child of Oberyn and Joanna.
359 AC - Illara Martell born, second daughter and third child of Oberyn and Joanna.
372 AC - Oberyn II Martell dies aged 63, believed to be from fever but his ill health for the last 6 years could have easily been the cause. Lewyn II Martell becomes Prince of Dorne.
376 AC - Lewyn II Martell marries and dies after sustaining a wound in the melee of his own wedding tournament, which festered and caused his death at the age of 23. With no heir, his younger sister Ellaena Martell becomes Princess of Dorne.
380 AC - Ellaena Martell marries Tolyn Toland. Dorne rejoices after almost 30 years of peace between the noble Houses of Dorne.
381 AC - Qorbyn Martell born, eldest son of Ellaena and Tolyn.
381-384 AC - The Destruction of House Vaith. After the death of Lord Vaith, his two twin sons both sought to claim the Red Dunes for their own. Many believed that the son with an heir should assume the mantle, but soon Dorne divided once more and the sands ran red with blood. The eastern Houses of Dorne saw no need to intervene in these matters, but Houses Uller, Qorgyle and Dayne were sucked into the conflict.
The conflict was limited to words until the final year, but when Houses Dayne and Qorgyle faced House Uller in the field, Lord Uller was slain and his army was shattered. It seemed as though the war finally had a victor, until the victorious lord Vaith and his heir were poisoned at their victory feast and killed. The other Lord Vaith, a convenient survivor, was brought to Sunspear to answer for his crimes and ultimately executed, destroying House Vaith and leaving the Red Dunes without an heir.
384-386 AC - The Settlement of the Red Dunes. Ellaena Martell appointed a hedge knight, Hanfred Honn, whom she had been rumoured to be bedding, as Lord of the Red Dunes. Outraged, Lords Qorgyle and Dayne declared their rebellion against House Martell and sought to stake their claim on the Red Dunes. However, when the rest of Dorne threatened to take up arms against the two Houses, they had no choice but to stand down or be destroyed.
House Honn was founded as Lords of the Red Dunes, taking two blood-peaked sand dunes on a white field as their sigil. Even to this day they are looked down upon as no more than an upjumped sellswords who rose to power by sleeping with the Princess. They are thought very little of by both the Lords of Dorne and the Lords outside it.
392 AC - Ellaena Martell passes away, aged 36. She passed away in her sleep with no sign of ill-health of foul play, so her death is attributed to natural causes. Qorbyn Martell is just 9 years old, so Tolyn Toland serves as regent.
397 AC - Qorbyn Martell becomes Prince of Dorne. The Prince comes of age on his sixteenth name day.
401 AC - Qorbyn Martell marries a low-born woman from the Reach, much to the surprise of the Lords of Dorne.
405 AC - Qorbyn Martell's wife has her third stillborn child. Qorbyn divorces her and, overcome by the grief of losing his children, takes the black and heads North for the Wall.
405 AC - Illara Martell becomes Princess of Dorne, aged 46, sister of Qorbyn's mother Ellaena. She had two children, Mors III Martell, aged 16, and Mariah Martell, aged 13.
408-419AC - The War of the Sun and the Spear. In 408, Illara Martell made the decision to step down as Princess of Dorne and set off across the Narrow Sea to live out her days in Pentos. This led to great conflict within Dorne; Mors III Martell was the rightful heir as Prince of Dorne. However, he was well known in Dorne for being unintelligent, socially awkward, unfriendly and an isolationist, not fit to rule the Dornish. Many wished to see Mariah Martell rise as Princess of Dorne, passing over Mors in the line of succession.
Mariah stated her desire to become Princess over Mors and this instantly created a divide between the noble houses of Dorne. Houses Yronwood, Dayne, Stonecast, Qorgyle, Manwoody, Blackmont, Dalt, Fowler and Toland declared for Mariah Martell. Houses Uller, Wyl, Honn, Sandstone, Jordayne, Gargalen and Allyrion declared for Mors Martell. The resultant conflict would last for 11 years, and see the deaths of thousands.
The war saw only a few major battles. The Siege of Salt Shore would see a joint Manwoody-Dalt force overrun the keep of House Gargalen, slaying the heirless Lord Jorrin and ultimately destroying the noble House. The Battle of the Boneway saw House Wyl attempt to besiege Castle Yronwood, but their inferior numbers saw them surrounded and butchered in the pass down to the last man, including Lord Sygmor Wyl.
In 419 AC, Mors III Martell finally realised the futility of his campaign. The Houses supporting Mariah were better armed, had superior numbers and training, and had been winning most of the significant conflicts between the two sides. He arranged for peace talks to be held in Sunspear, and headed to the capital with a host of Lords to hold talks. The Treaty would be known as the Peace of the Sun and the Spear.
419 AC - The Peace of the Sun and the Spear. The Treaty was signed between Mors III Martell and Mariah Martell. Mors would give up all claim he had as Prince of Dorne and leave the Kingdom. The main Lords involved in his campaign would head to Castle Black. To consolidate alliances and reunite Dorne, Lords Blackmont and Manwoody would also head to Castle Black for their role in the destruction of House Gargalen. Ser Korban Greyhall would inherit Salt Shore for his service to House Martell as Mariah's Sworn Sword. Mariah would marry Lord Mykal Allyrion to consolidate the relationship between the sides.
420 AC - Mariah Martell marries Mykal Allyrion in accordance with the terms of the Treaty of the Sun and the Spear.
421 AC - Lewyn III Martell born, eldest child of Mariyah Martell.
424 AC - Mors IV Martell born, second son and second child of Mariyah Martell.

Basic Info
Name: Lewyn III Martell Titles: Prince of Dorne, Lord of Sunspear Age: 29 Seat: Sunspear, Dorne Heir: Princess Elia Martell Religion: Faith of the Seven
Personality
Lewyn Martell, Third of his Name, Prince of Dorne and Lord of Sunspear. Even after two years, the titles still sounds strange. Humble and strong-willed, Lewyn Martell has always been concerned more with the fundamentals of his position. His duty is his life, and his duty is to his people.
It would be difficult to reason that Lewyn Martell has ever been a particularly sensible or wise man. For wisdom, Lewyn leans on his close friends and advisors. Passion burns within this man like the fiery sun of Dorne, and as a result many would consider him a reckless and headstrong leader, willing to do whatever it takes to further the glory of Dorne and his people, often without considering the consequences. Lewyn Martell has only ruled Dorne for two years, and has learned much in his time. He never asked for the burdens of leadership, but knows that his people look to him for guidance and he cannot let them down. As a youngster he was always adventurous and free-willed, much like many of the failed Dornish rulers of the past century, but with the gift of reflection on his side, he aspires to put aside his own personal desires and work to restore Dorne to its rightful glorious place in the world. Dutiful, honourable, humble, passionate and well-loved are words that all apply to Lewyn Martell. However, reckless, headstrong, injudicious and pretentious apply just as strongly. Nevertheless, Lewyn hopes to avoid sinking back into the bloody and treacherous darkness of the last 150 years, and will do whatever it takes to achieve this.
There are few things that Lewyn loves more in this world than his family. His children, including his bastard Daeron, are what keeps him going every day. Lewyn spends as much time with his family as his duties will allow, and is a kind, caring father figure. He has been teaching all of his children, Elia included, to ride and plans on teaching them all to fight when they are of an age to do so. Himself Lewyn is an average fighter at best. He rides well, is an OK shot with a bow and is nothing exceptional with a spear. However, his skill lies in his movement, for his physical prowess allows him to be quick and agile, and although not particularly wise or intelligent, his mind for combat allows him to outwit opponents and also gives him a reasonable mind for strategy, although he has commanders for his armies for a reason; he is far from a tactical genius.
Among Lewyn's habits are exploration and hunting. He has been known to frequently journey across Dorne, visiting the various Lords and Ladies of his land in turn and spending time with each. A man of the people, Lewyn has been known to walk the streets with little to no guards and talk to the common folk, allowing him to build up a personal connection with his people and the Lords who support him, and inspiring love across the land. Like many of the Dornish, wine and sex are two of his greatest loves. No doubt Lewyn has fathered many a bastard across Dorne, but Daeron is the only one he has openly taken into his family.
However, Lewyn is somewhat fearful of outsiders. Few every make the journey to Dorne and in the last century Dorne had become increasingly isolated in the world. With the recent death of Aegon X Targaryen, Lewyn knows that the time has come for Dorne to reach back out into the world. A new King must be found, and quickly. But, should a suitable King fail to present himself, Lewyn has toyed with the idea of returning Dorne to an independent principality, as it had been for centuries before and during the reign of the Targaryen Kings of Old.
Biography
Lewyn Martell was born in 421 AC, two years after the Peace of the Sun and the Spear, as the eldest child of Mariyah Martell and Mykal Allyrion. Growing up, his mother Mariyah kept Lewyn and his younger siblings at the Water Gardens where she knew they would be safe. She oft told her children stories about the bloody ages that they had been so fortunate not to witness, in particular the War of the Sun and the Spear. She always emphasised the value of family and caring for those around you, since her life had been torn apart through conflict with her own brother.
As young as eight years old, Lewyn Martell was already showing his free spirit. He found himself befriending the guards in the Water Gardens and would sneak out at night, often with one of them to ensure his safety, to explore the surrounding lands. He was truly in love with the world, and swore to himself that one day he would see it all. Eventually his mother found out about his late night escapades and had the guards that aided him arrested, but was moved to release them when Lewyn swore he would take their punishment on their behalf for they had done nothing that he had not asked of them. These were the earliest signs of Lewyn showing his honesty and sense of honour. Alas, when Lewyn was nine, his mother Mariyah passed away in birthing his younger sister Aeryn, leaving Lewyn with no mother and a distant, uncaring father figure.
Lewyn was tall for his age, ultimately growing to stand at six feet and two inches. Well-muscles and agile, Lewyn had all the makings of an exceptional warrior like the mighty Red Viper of Dorne, Oberyn Martell. The tales of Oberyn had always captivated and inspired Lewyn, but when he began his combat training, he fell short of his dreams. While he was quick to latch on to the theory and ideas behind combat, his hands could not follow his mind and his combat skills were doomed to mediocrity.
Lewyn Martell was freed from the water Gardens at 12 years of age. Lord Quentyn Qorgyle, a close friend of his mother Mariyah, took Lewyn under his wing and quickly grew into a close friend and almost father figure. The pair travelled Dorne together, and Quentyn taught Lewyn all he knew of the world both inside and outside of Dorne, in Westeros and Essos. He told Lewyn stories of history, ancient legends of the world, filling Lewyn with wonder and enhancing his desire to see the world.
After a year touring, the duo returned to Sunspear, and just before his seventeenth name day he was wed to Melyssa of House Manwoody. Two years later, Melyssa gave birth to their first child, Elia Martell. In the next six years they would have two more children; Quentyn II Martell and Oberyn III Martell. In the same stretch of time, Lewyn fathered a bastard son named Daeron by an unknown Paramour. From then on, Lewyn found himself spending more time in the capital.
His daughter Elia came of an age where she too grew curious of the world, so Quentyn Qorgyle and Lewyn set out once more to take his daughter on a tour of Dorne. His other children remained in Sunspear with their mother, including the bastard Daeron, whom Melyssa had come to love as if he was her own. He was forced to return, however, when news of his father's ill-health reached him. He had been visiting his wife's brother, the new Lord of Kingsgrave when news reached him. However, by time he returned to the capital, his father had passed and Lewyn was now the rightful Prince of Dorne.
The first two years of Lewyn's reign were peaceful and uneventful. He spent much of the time calling various Lords to court, rearranging his household and council, and spending time reconnecting with his grieving younger siblings. Yet, his whole life would change when Aegon X Targaryen, Lord of the Seven Kingdoms and Protector of the Realm, passed away unexpectedly. His death sent shockwaves through Dorne, who had historically been supporters of the Targaryens. Yet as new claimants began to thrust themselves into the fight, Lewyn began to question Dorne's ties to the Targaryen Kings. Now, he knows not how to proceed. The swords of Dorne are not ready for war, yet they must be so should they hope to survive the coming storm. War would come to Dorne soon whether they wanted it or not. The only question left to settle is who would the Dornish raise their spears for.
Located on the eastern shore of Westeros, House Arryn is one of the Great Houses of Westeros, having one of the oldest and purest lines of Andal nobility. They are the proud principal noble house of the Vale of Arryn. Their seat, the Eyrie, is located in the Mountains of the Moon, thousands of feet above the valley below. Due to the location of their seat, House Arryn tends to remain isolated from the rest of Westeros. In recent years, uncertainty over the future of the house has only amplified this isolation. The current Lord of House Arryn is the young, Sterlan Arryn.
"The most splendid work ever built by the hands of men, a palace worthy of the gods themselves. Surely even the Father Above does not have such a seat."
The Eyrie is an ancient castle, though small compared to other Great Houses' seats, the Eyrie makes up for it in its defenses. Due in part to its location at the peak of the Mountains of Moon and its large amount of built defenses, The Eyrie is considered impregnable by many. During the winters, it is downright impossible to travel safely in the Mountains.
In order to reach the Eyrie, travelers must follow the dangerous high road through rocky foothills and thick forests in the Mountains of the Moon, then through high passes and deep chasms to the Vale of Arryn. Travelers on the road are often attacked by the rebellious mountain clans that reject Arryn rule and live in the foothills of the mountains. If they manage to follow the entirety of the high road than travelers must go through the highly guarded Bloody Gate, a series of battlements along the mountain road which leads to the Eyrie.
The Vale of Arryn consists of various regions, it is a land of fertile soil, rivers and lakes. The Mountains of the Moon border the Vale to the west. The Valemen, the people of the Vale, are known as reliable warriors steeped in honor and the worship of the Faith of the Seven. Wheat, corn, pumpkins, and barley are grown in the fertile dirt of the Vale.

Recent History
Recent times have not been kind to House Arryn. First, the long-serving Lord Jon Arryn died, with one heir, the sickly son Robert. Lord Jon's wife Lysa ruled in her son's place and kept House Arryn neutral during the War of the Five Kings. Lady Lysa marries her childhood lover, Petyr Baelish, also known as Littlefinger. Not that long after this marriage, Lady Lysa dies after falling through the Moon Door.
Robert is too weak and young to properly rule the Vale, so Petyr Baelish, ruled in his place as the Lord Protector of the Vale, with Robert as his ward. Robert's heir is Harrold Hardyng, a recently knighted squire and the great-nephew of the late Lord Jon Arryn. Several powerful nobles under House Arryn align against Baelish's rule. Then winter comes, and the frail Robert dies. Littlefinger is removed from his position and Harrold ascends to lordship as Harrold Arryn.
With a heir to the new Lord Arryn needed, Harrold is married to Bethany Blackwood of House Blackwood, a sworn house under House Tully. House Arryn swears loyalty to the returning Targaryens. As they once more take the throne, House Arryn remains wardens of the east. Lord Harrold and his wife have three child, two sons, Bradyn and Donnel, and a daughter, Alyssa. For nearly three decades Harrold rules, he's a fine Lord to his death.
The lordship passes onto Bradyn, a lustful man he has several bastards before even ascending to lordship. Bradyn's antics as lord including parties and whoring embarrass some of the Houses under House Arryn. He dies old and overweight. His son Jevan becomes lord. Lord Jevan has five children, two die in infancy and one dies after climbing outside the Eyrie. Jevan is left with two surviving sons, Braedon and Elden. Braedon becomes Lord after his father dies.
Braedon is only able to have one son after trying with multiple wives, his son, Roland is sickly, afflicted with the shaking sickness. While the condition can be treated with, it is not good for a potential lord to have. After his father dies of a sudden heart attack, the teenaged Rolan becomes lord. While he is Lord he continues to suffer from violent seizures due to his sickness. He dies young and without a heir after falling to his death in the valley below. It is suspected that he was pushed, but nothing can be proven.
Rolan's cousin Seldan Arryn is next in line for lordship. He is a proud, noble man that tries to bring honor to the position. This reflected upon his second son, Jon II. Seldan rules for just over a decade before he dies of disease. His oldest son, Hugo Arryn becomes Lord. Huge is much like his father, an honorable man. He is lord for seven years before he dies without an heir.
Jon Arryn II, Hugo's brother becomes the head of House Arryn. He marries Alessa Royce. Their first son, and eventual Lord, Sterlan is born. Two years later they have twins, Haleleigh and Harrold. Jon's wife dies in childbirth of the twins, this event deeply saddened her husband and he never married again. Jon is an honorable, patient man, a well liked figure in the Vale, for years he tries to juggle raising his children with his duties as lord.
He is lord for seventeen years, during the later years of his rule he tries to branch back out into the rest of Westeros, make House Arryn more than just an isolated house with a Great name. Before he can succeed in this, he dies of a disease, the sickness gradually weakening him as it effected the honorable Jon. Eventually it robs him of his ability to properly wield a sword and makes him too weak to walk unassisted.
On his deathbed Jon tells his son Sterlan words of comfort and confidence in the boy's abilities. The words stick with the young Sterlan as he becomes the current Lord of the Eyrie, Defender of the Vale, Warden of the East. In recent years, House Arryn has remained neutral and silent on the matter. It is very likely that they will have to pick a side, another issue the young Sterlan Arryn is nervous over deciding.
Sterlan Arryn
Age: 17
Seat: The Eyrie
Heir: Harrold Arryn (brother)
Personality: Calm and composed, Sterlan is a patient young man. This was a value that his father instilled in him and is one he tries to center himself on. He has control over his feelings and rarely shows anger. He always tries to show politeness to others, giving respect to everyone that he can. He was very close to his father, and idolizes the man, trying to do what he thinks would make the man proud of him.
He's well mannered and honest, acting how he believes a Lord should. Sterlan knows that he represents the Vale as a whole, it's a responsibility he knows he has to handle the best he can. He tries to put the needs of the Vale ahead of his own. He's a decent swordsman, though he has little interest in the art of combat nor does he have any military experience. He's nervous about being put in such an important position at a young age, though he tries his best to hide these feelings. He also knows that he needs to marry soon and have a true heir, his brother is even younger than him and not in any real shape to become Lord of the Eyrie.
Biography: Sterlan Arryn was the first born son of Jon Arryn II and his wife, Alessa. The occasion was a celebrated one as Sterlan a healthy baby boy. Two years later Sterlan end up with twin siblings as Harrold and Haleigh Arryn were born. This birth did not go as smoothly as Sterlan's, Alessa died in complications from childbirth. While both of the twins were fine, they had no mother. Jon was struck deeply by the death of his wife, and as a result he never married again. Sterlan remembers his father bringing him and his younger siblings to the site of his mother's grave once every year on the day of her death.
Jon took it upon himself to raise all three of his children right, this situation was complicated as Jon's older brother, Lord Hugo Arryn died from disease. As a result, Jon was crowned the new Lord of the Vale, the head of his household. He still tried to spend as much time with his children as possible, but his duties as a lord often conflicted with this. Due to this, Sterlan developed a friendship with several of the servants that cared for him.
Sterlan looked up to his father as a teenager, this admiration only increased at his father's disease then subsequent passing. Despite how painful it was for the man, his father fought through it with valor like that of a legendary knight. Upon his passing, Sterlan became the new house lord.
Claim To The Throne: N/A
Appearance: Sterlan is a fair skinned young adult with medium length dark brown hair and brown eyes. He stands a shade under six feet tall, his frame lean with no real muscle definition. His facial features can be considered attractive, and he is without blemishes or scars. He tries to smile and hide his uncertainty about being a Lord.
Haleigh Arryn
Age: 15
Seat: The Eyrie
Heir: N/A
Personality: Haleigh is a shy and quiet girl, the opposite of her twin brother, Harrold. Even her hobbies are quiet, picking flowers, reading poetry, riding horses through the fields. She's kind hearted and caring. Despite how much her brothers pick on her, she loves them both more than anything else in the world. She's spent her entire life within the Vale, though she knows she may be married off to a man in another land.
Biography: Haleigh is the older of the two twins, being born seconds before her brother, Harrold. During both of their births their mother died tragically. Neither of the twins saw their mother, but their father often told them about how beautiful, sweet and caring she was. Much of Haleleigh's childhood was spent in the beauty of the Vale, she often ran through the green fields of grass with her friends, or planted flowers in the gardens of the Eyrie. Her twin brother has picked on her since both of them could walk and talk, but its done in a loving, playful manner.
When their father became ill, Haleigh was deeply saddened like many in the Vale. Her father was a good man, he read her stories before she went to sleep and bought her her first horse. For a few years she had regrets over her mother's death, she thought her brother and her were to blame for it. She died in childbirth after all. Haleleigh brought these thoughts up to her father and he soothed them, it was a freak accident, they were innocent infants. 'The Seven act in strange ways' was another of his words to her before he passed.
Since then, Haleigh is uncertain about her own future as well as her house's. While she has faith in her brother, he is a good man, even if very young for such a position. The trouble with the Iron Throne has her a bit concerned, their family is a Great House of Westeros, and one way or another they were going to be involved in it.
Claim To The Throne: N/A
Appearance: The most noticeable feature about Haleigh are her piercing blue eyes, they always seem to be wandering the room wherever she is. She is a girl of average height, she stands 5'5 with a petite body frame. Her skin is a fair shade, she is a beautiful young women though she doesn't do very much to show it off.
Harrold Arryn II
Age: 15
Seat: The Eyrie
Heir: N/A
Personality: Harrold Arryn II is a loud teenager, one that always seems to be laughing or joking. He pokes fun at everyone, especially both of his siblings. He's an adventurous young man, someone that would walk across Westeros just to see what the other side is like. He has an interest in combat, being read tales of fierce knights and dragons have done much to strengthen that fascination. He doesn't see a lot of outsiders, when he sees them he often asks many questions. Harrold is also next in line for Lordship if anything were to happen to Sterlan. That thought hasn't even crossed his mind.
Biography: Harrold Arryn II, often referred to as 'Harry' is the youngest of the Arryn siblings. He is a few seconds younger than his twin sister, Haleigh. His sister and his births were both a sad and happy occasion, new life was brought into the world, but a beautiful one was taken as Harrold's mother died giving birth to the twins. Like Haleigh, he never saw his mother's face though his father would often tell him that she was the most beautiful woman he had laid eyes on. Harrold could not exactly argue such a claim.
From a very young age Harrold was an adventurous boy that got into all kinds of trouble. When he first could walk he asked one of his guards if they would carry him to the top of the mountains so he could see the view. That never happened, but Harrold has said that he wants to climb one of the tallest mountains by their home someday. He also took an interest in combat, tales of legendary knights and fearsome dragons striking a chord with his adventurous side. If he were not born in such a prestigious home, it is likely he would have tried to become a knight.
Like his other siblings, Harrold was deeply saddened when his father took ill, then died. He didn't understand how such a thing could happen to such a honorable, kind man. It wasn't fair. Harry's only recently returned to his usual jovial form, now with his brother as the new lord, Harry has all the reason to try to lighten the mood around the Eyrie.
Claim To The Throne: N/A
Appearance: Harrold stands 5'8, lean like his brother. Facially he is similar to his twin sister, Haleigh, they are not identical twins but when they were younger often got confused with one another. He has blue eyes and his brown hair has been cut short. While still quite young, he has the features to be a handsome man.
Personality: Princess Rhaenyra is said to be a spitting image of her forbear who held her name before. Much like her ancestor before her, she is just as proud and stubborn as any Targaryen before her, though, unlike some of her family, she possesses a much more forgiving and caring nature, giving her a very charming and likeable nature, at least of that compared to those within her family that make themselves not so easily liked. She is said to be honorable and kind, with a great love for art and poetry. Though by no means a renowned fighter, she is an experienced swordsman and lancer, having been taken under the wing of her father, who thought it best to train his daughter in combat, should the need ever arise.
Biography: Born into a family that arose from the ashes, Rhaenyra was quick to learn from the errors of the past in what had caused the downfall of her family. From a young age, both her and her sister Baela were taught the history of House Targaryen, from its start, to its bloody end, and to the rebirth, each detail taught to instill one resounding message, never take anything for granted. Her parents were brother and sister, married to one another as was done in times of old, regardless of what the faith thought. And while this may have been seen as sinful and dangerous, the results were quite the opposite. Two girls were born, both beautiful, smart, fair, two pieces of Valyrian steel that came forth into perfect form. No signs of cruelty nor madness, it was a sign from the Seven, or even the gods of old, that good can come from anything.
Rhaenyra Targaryen the Second, Princess of House Targaryen, though of course, on a branch of the House that no longer was in the direct line of succession for the Iron Throne, which had since been remade anew, a throne befitting the likes of King Aegon VI and Queen Daenerys Targaryen. Truth be told, she was said to look like Rhaenyra Targaryen the First, a Queen who never was, something that Rhaenyra II took great interest in. Of course, who doesn’t dream of being Queen, of being ruler of the Seven Kingdoms, but, that certainly seemed like a dream that could never be attained, at least so she thought.
When her Great-Uncle, Aegon IX, began searching for wives for his second son, Daenys Targaryen, her parents put her forth as a possible candidate, even though she was just a babe at the time. Such a match we bring the two halves of the family back together, and allow Rhaenyra to be a potential candidate for Queen, if Daenys were to ever become King himself, but such was not meant to be. It was whispered that Daenys was not interested in women, and that he had bestial appetites. Further, it was her father who decided to rescind the offer, once he began to see what Daenys Targaryen was truly like, a future Mad King, much like his forbear King Aerys II was. Even worse, was the fact that this man hated his family, and it would do little good to try and force Rhaenyra unto such a monster as Daenys.
Prince Jaehaerys IV even tried convincing his cousin Aegon IX to allow Rhaenyra to marry Aegon X, but it was quickly laid to rest when Aegon X would not take another wife than his first, adhering to the wishes of the Seven and the High Septon. For a time, Rhaenyra and her sister Baela thought that perhaps that they would end up marrying into the Crakehall family, as they were powerful, and close ally’s to the Targaryen’s, but all talk of that ended with the untimely death of Prince Jaehaerys IV and Princess Visenya III in a ship wreck mere minutes from the safety of Dragon’s Rest, a storm dashing the ship against an outcrop of rocks. It is said that both the young Targaryen’s cried themselves to sleep for many a week afterword.
Since the death of her parents, Rhaenyra has run her household, bringing forth in the last three years record crop harvests and prosperity, using the assets at hand to bring life back into a slogging region that has long been overshadowed by King’s Landing and other great regions of the Kingdom. What’s more, is that two dragons have been slowly growing at Dragon’s Rest, gifts from King Aegon X himself, for the continued love of his family, and as a way of trying to help comfort his nieces. While a relatively small region of power in the grand scheme of things, Rhaenyra and Baela both are sworn vassals of King Aegon X, and thusly, their military strength was but a small portion of a larger Royal Army.
The Princesses currently reside over the Northern Crownlands, holding fealty and control Antlers in the West, House Buckwell, Duskendale to the South, House Rykker, and Dyre Den to the East, and with it, all of Crackclaw Point, to include Houses Boggs, Brune, Cave, Crabb, Hardy, and Pyne. Furthermore, they also have a new comer, Lady Celia Mooton, younger sister to Lord Mooton, who has sworn fealty to the sisters in return for the chance of creating her own house and lands. Control of all these houses has allowed for both sisters to learn greatly, even if it is only on a small scale, who to run a house, a region, and perhaps, if fate wills it, a kingdom. Still, both women are young, and will no doubt require help in order to have any hope of ascending to the Iron Throne.
Rides the Dragon Visaxes, red in color.
Claim To The Throne: Grand-daughter of King Aegon VIII (Daughter to second-born son, Prince Jaehaerys IV and third-born daughter, Princess Visenya III), father to King Aegon IX, Grandfather of King Aegon X. Cousin to Prince Daenys Targaryen.
Appearance:
Name: Baela Targaryen II
Age: 17 Seat: None, currently resides at Dragon’s Rest (Formerly Rook’s Rest) Heir: None
Personality: Princess Baela Targaryen II is just as proud and stubborn as her elder sister, though, among other things, no two Targaryen’s are the same. Having focused more on combat and war, she is by far the more skilled combatant of the two, excelling at the usage of spear and shield. She is honorable and truthful, striving to achieve excellence in all she partakes in, making her a force to be reckoned with when she believes that she is being cheated, or taught incorrectly. Baela believes is service before self, which co-insides with her belief of integrity first as well, making her a hard woman to lie to, for she has been known to hold grudges against those that would dare lie to her or her kin.
Biography: Princess Baela Targaryen II is just as proud and stubborn as her elder sister, though, among other things, no two Targaryen’s are the same.
Biography: Much like her sister, Baela Targaryen learned of the rise and fall of her family, and its rebirth. Thanks to the closeness of her age to her elder sister, Baela followed in her footsteps, learning as much as she could, and doing all that she could as well to excel in her studies and learnings. And yet, it was here that she not only shined, but showed how different she was from her elder sister. Where Rhaenyra was a decent sword fighters and horse rider, Baela was a warrior Princess reborn, some saying a reincarnation of Visenya Targaryen of old.
Training with both sword and spear, her skill in combat signed brighter than dragon flame. Something about her, perhaps her zeal for combat, or perhaps the blood that flows in her veins, she was soon one of the best fighters in the Crownlands, if not the greater Southern region. She even came in second at the great tourney of King Aegon X’s 30th name-day celebrations, only losing in the lists to Lord Tywin Crakehall, yet only after twelve passes did she finally lose. Since then, she has continued a good friendship with Lord Tywin.
Like her elder sister, Baela currently cares for a three year old dragon, aptly named Jadefyre, for its deep Jade and Green colored scales. With a trained rider, and a jointly love for flying and the world, Baela Targaryen and Jadefyre are a force to be reckoned with.

House Summary
____________________________________________________________________________________________________________ A small house of landed knights, said to be the bastard descendants of House Reyne and House Crakehall. Whilst over the past decades, the house has grown to being on the verge of possibly becoming a full noble house. Or so the members of House Vikary say. They are loyal servants of the Lords of the Westerlands, House Crakehall. Led currently by Ser Kevan Vikary, the Vikary's followed the summoning of their liege lord, and rode off to join his army. With the defeat at King's Landing, Ser Kevan Vikary leads his weary men back home, hoping to catch a respite from war, before returning to Casterly Rock and answering to their Liege Lord.
Military Strength
____________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Being a smaller house, and one that is not exceedingly wealthy, the men of House Vikary field perhaps a total of 130 men in all. Mainly men-at-arms, the House does boast that it has a total of ten knights, to include Ser Kevan and his son Ser Devan. House Vikary plays a small part in the greater whole of the Crakehall host, offering a unit of spearmen, swordsmen, and some archers. Their equipment is not the best, and is generally secondhand arms and armor purchased from more powerful houses in the region. The soldiers of House Vikary take great pride in the gear, doing what they can to keep it in service as long as possible.
Dorne Dorne is very far away, House Vikary shares whatever views that House Crakehall has upon the region.
Iron Islands With the resurgence of the Ironborn, House Vikary vehemently despises the people of the Iron Islands, and sees them as little more than pirates and scoundrels.
The North With the proposed marriage alliance between House Crakehall and House Stark, House Vikary supports the actions and decisions of their Liege Lords, and hope to perhaps warm relations with those of the North.
The Reach Due to the current events concerning the line of succession, and the recent loss at King's Landing, House Vikary supports war between the Reach and the Westerlands. They are not friendly to those from the Reach, but treat them with honor.
____________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Ser Kevan Vikary – 45 years old, Current ruler of House Vikary
Jocelyn Swift – 40 years old, Wife to Ser Kevan Vikary
Ser Devan Vikary – 26 years old, Eldest son, Heir to House Vikary
Personality: Arthur promised himself, when he became the Lord of Arbor, that he would never be cruel nor cowardly. And to his quiet pride, he doesn't think that he ever allowed himself to be either of those. Always trying his best to be fair, with perhaps too soft of a heart for his children, he was slightly henpecked by his late wife (who died in childbirth with his daughter, Arlenna). Quiet people tend to have the loudest minds, and Arthur is a clever man. Extremely skilled with bookkeeping, he can proudly say that he has never caused there to be an anomaly or mistake in the accounts of Highgarden.
He is extremely loyal to the House of Tyrell, and enjoys close relations with them, having taught Garland Tyrell skills in administration. He sees them as family of sorts. Arthur always doted on the Tyrell children when away from his own - slipping them sweets when they were younger, and perhaps the occasional chocolate liqeur when they became older. And of course, who better to ask for wine?
Biography: Arthur inherited the title of Lord from his father, Edder Redwyne, at the age of 35. His father had died needlessly, he'd always said, an attack on some pirate ships who'd decided to plunder ships leaving their bay. His father had been the type to like taking care of business himself - and unfortunately, some low-born lackey had managed to find his mark. Thankfully, Arthur had not been a young, naive man anymore; he managed to take hold of the Arbor quite fine. The Arbor, at that point, was growing into a prosperous trading port. Under Arthur's scrupulous eye, it flourished like the vineyards that grew the grapes for their wine. He became Gregor Tyrell's Master of Coin for a few years, taking pride in his title and work. Working with his friend and books brought him happiness, and although he was away from Arbor, he found it a fair price. When Gregor died, Arthur was incredibly saddened, but offered his assistance to the young boy, Garland. He'd seen the young man grow into a handsome lord, and thought him a good man. He has been living in Highgarden for the most part, although he takes the time to visit Arbor. His children live there, but often come to visit him - it's easier that way.
Appearance: Arthur is a man of average height, standing at around 5,11" with a slender build. While his build is slender, he is still fighting fit - muscle fills him out, although perhaps not as much as it used to (much to his chagrin). Thankfully, most of his duties require paper and pen and the gift of the gab as opposed to actual fighting. His high metabolism has been a godsend, considering the amount of sugar and wine he consumes.
The first thing one would notice about Arthur is his red cheeks. Ruddy and most prominent on his high cheekbones, they make him look jolly - what with his usual smile, they suit him. Most probably, they're a result of years of excessive wine. He's had his fair share of teasing about them, but he knows that it's all in good fun. Arthur has short grey hair, cut into gentle waves that suit his easygoing nature. His eyes are light blue, framed by dark eyelashes that hint at his original hair color, and salt-and-pepper eyebrows. His complexion is light, apart from his cheeks, from many hours spent inside.
Ser Julian Redwyne
Age: 20
Seat: N/A
Heir: Father's brother, Dallin Redwyne
Personality: Julian is quick to smile and even quicker to laugh. He's quite the optimist, perhaps to the point of overlooking pitfalls. Skilled in the physical and strategy, Julian would have made a better knight than future lord - he isn't particularly clever when it comes to money or diplomacy. Thankfully, he's a charmer, and kind to boot; he's similar to his father, in that way. That's not to say that Julian hasn't killed a man, but he is always reluctant to escalate a situation.
Julian isn't particularly loyal to his father; he's more loyal to himself. Sometimes his love for his family and friends can cloud his judgement. He is also susceptible to being reckless when angry - but it takes quite a lot to enrage him.
Appearance: Julian is a handsome fellow who stands at 6,2" with his father's slim build, leanly muscular and only just growing out of being lanky. Although he is certainly strong, and can wield a sword with no trouble, the other young knights often stand far broader and heavier. To make up for this, he's learned to move more quickly - heavy armor isn't a love of his, due to it impeding his movement and weighing down on his slim frame.
Julian has an attractive face, high cheekbones and a sharp jawline (albeit not particularly square nor wide). His eyebrows arch highly over his typical Redwyne blue eyes, often giving him a look of slight surprise - or skepticism, depending on what the rest of his face is doing. He has thin, wide lips and dark blond curly hair to just below his ears. Unfortunately, he did not inherit the dark hair of his father - he sometimes laments how he could have been, 'tall, dark and handsome,' if not for his mother's lighter side.
His armour is usually lighter than the typical knight's. It is reminiscent of his house's banner, pale blue interspersed with maroon accents - blue being a dye hard to come by, it has drawn some attention. Overall, the handiwork is elegant and streamlined. His breastplate features a bunch of grapes, but his helmet is plainer. His sword is a slim model, easily wielded by one hand. Often having to spend time on the decks of his father's navy, battles at sea tend to be fought at close quarters, and speed is of the essence.
Biography: Julian grew up in a loving household, with his mother until age 4. He was too young to fully process her death, but he missed her still - he knew that she was gone. After this, his father seemed to spend more time at Arbor and less at home. Of course, he wanted for nothing as a Redwyne, but he couldn't help a feeling of abandonment and slight resentment toward Arthur. As if to make up for the lack of a father figure for her, he became incredibly protective over his sister, Arlenna.
His own male role model came in the form of his father's head knight at Arbor, who was also assigned the task of training him - after all, Julian was the heir to Arbor, and only the finest of Arthur's men could do. His name was Darron Millon, and he had been a wandering hedge knight before being recruited into Arbor's forces. A few years of impressive service and bravery later, he had moved through the ranks to be a respected and admired knight. Darron not only taught Julian how to swing a sword, but also how to ride a horse into battle, and survive in the wilderness. They grew close, and Julian sees more of a father in him than in Arthur.
Of course, Julian and his sister sometimes went to Highgarden to visit their father and socialise with the other noble houses present. He found a fellow mischief-maker in Garland, and he has many fond memories of the weeks that he stayed there. Unfortunately, with the turmoil throwing Westeros into chaos, he hasn't made the trip to Highgarden for quite a while.
Lady Arlenna Redwyne
Age: 18
Personality: The women of the Reach are famous for their wit, and Lady Arlenna Redwyne is no exception. With a knack for a quizzically raised eyebrow, Arlenna seemed to always have an innate sense for the correct sharp word at the right time. Never self-deprecating, her skill was learned through observation. She has a knack for reading people, perhaps helped by her own sensitivity. Not that she ever showed this sensitivity in public - she has a reputation to hold up, after all.
Her gift of the gab comes in most useful when her eye is on a handsome knight - although, she's never come to any romantic fruition with them. It's only recently that she's become more womanly, and she enjoys the extra attention, the feeling of being looked at. She can be rather coy, quite unopposed to a well-timed fluttering of her eyelashes - after all, the man needs to be the one approaching her.
She doesn't have much of a stomach for blood, and likes to see the world as beautiful. She is naive to the senseless brutality of twisted men and women. Arlenna is the type of person who takes joy in colors, music, art - her smile is never wider than when walking along the port, seeing the weird and wonderful things being brought in from distant lands.
Appearance: Arlenna stands at 5,9", taller than the average person. Then again, the noble houses of Westeros are no average people, and she is not entirely out of place around them. Her frame is willowy, like her brother's, and unfortunately (in her opinion) her bust is not that much larger than his either. At least she appears elegant, and carries herself with grace.
Arlenna is not as similar to her brother in the face. Her features come across as sweeter, more innocent, with cheeks that have not yet lost their roundness. Dark eyebrows and eyelashes set off her light blue eyes, and a soft smattering of freckles are dusted across the bridge of her nose. Her lips are small and pert, often slightly pouted. Arlenna's hair is dark brown as her father's once was, dead straight and to the center of her back.
Usually, Arlenna's hair is pinned into a hairstyle befitting that of a lady - either up or down. She enjoys wearing her elegant gowns, often made from exotic material that has passed through her father's port. Her gowns change from day to day, so it can't be said that she stays in any particular one.
Biography: Arlenna barely knew her mother, being only 2 years old when she died. However, she felt her absence keenly as she grew older. While her brother had his knight, she only had an older septa who taught her to be a lady. They were never so close as her brother was to his mentor, Arlenna finding the woman abrasive - this was where she learned to sharpen her tongue. Not that she didn't get into some trouble for it, but it was worth it, in her opinion.
On her trips to Highgarden with Julian, from the age of 12 she'd sighed at the sight of Garland. He was beautiful, to her - strong and with all the attributes of a knight (in her eyes). The crush on him never really faded, the flames in her heart stoked every time she visited. Of course, her brother had noticed, and had teased her for it - but he'd never been unkind enough to do it in front of Garland.
In her 16th year, she blossomed from a child to a young woman, and enjoyed the extra attention that came with it. She shared only a few kisses with a few handsome knights, but it always felt like she was imagining someone else holding her. Simply put, she wasn't satisfied.
