Personality: To put it bluntly, there are not many things that surprise or even excite Ender. That's not to say that certain encounters don't evoke a measurement of a response, the teen just finds it more efficient to not blindly expend energy left and right. Nonchalance is a policy he strictly abides by, subtly weaving in teasing remarks into casual conversation. Some would label him as a stoic, always endeavoring through whatever challenge may arise with a calm demeanor. Others would prefer "detached," referring to the assumption that he couldn't care regardless what outcome may develop. In school, he has always been a man of few words to his classmate. But every consonant that left that student's mouth almost seemed to have been picked with scrupulous thought. The few who are fairly close to him find themselves faced with a surprisingly talkative individual, in a sense. He's one of the least likely people to start a fight, but there's just as much of a chance that he would stop one. Ender doesn't view the cup as half-full nor half-empty. Personally, he views it as full of shit for being the central object of such a crummy paradox. In other words, he's a realist, though most people shirk from the truth and would rather christen him a pessimist, for their own frame of mind.

Why are you playing SwordArt Online? His original directive was to play the game as a time-killer, as surely a good portion of the playerbase had intended prior to reality smacking them in the face. He sought for something immersive, an addition to the instrument and books he fancied so well. In spite of his indifferent temperament, Ender showed an uncharacteristic desire to get his hands on the early experience, the beta version of the game.
Life Prior to Playing SwordArt: Along the journey that is one's life, friends are gained and lost. Ender has experienced more of the latter. But as he walked, trekked, and crawled through the years, he never once cursed out the world. For it is ultimately indifferent. It randomly lashes out without aim or any or remorse, as that would be a sign of bias. The teenager that is Ender Yoshida has donned a similar, almost identical approach to life, while holding true to values of happiness.
Ender's parents work the desk line of service. Good people, placing their lone child's spirits above all else, even their own happiness. But to achieve this goal, work was undoubtedly a runner-up, almost on the same echelon as the youth. Both working for different firms, their jobs beckoned for them in separate parts of the country. His German father and native mother had been swallowed up by their professions, so as soon as the kid was able to sustain himself and hold down the fort, off they went.
It's not like Ender felt any contempt for his parents. They decided with him in mind, and if they had faith in his ability to endeavor without their presence, then he surely wouldn't let them down. It is known that a child's personality is the product of an amalgamation of their parents' influence and the environment's. Yet where does that leave the child when the former is barely present, save for the holidays? And even then, those brief events were hit or miss. It was around middle school when the kid's distant nature came into full bloom. Without anybody to provide a foundation, the canvas ultimately remained blank. But that just made those scant things that caught his eye just that much more captivating. Music, reading, anime, sweets, and and even friends. He learned to cherish what mattered dearly to him, but didn't go out of his way to openly express how much he adored them.
One girl was especially close to him. Somehow, she was perturbed by his character like a majority of their high school class. The two were often seen together, borderline inseparable. But not completely. Those days came to an end after a car accident, bringing the girl's life and her connection with Ender to a screeching halt. No matter how adamant he is about remaining stagnate, even the boy felt grief.
Now, Ender's currently coasting through his last year of secondary school. Still unsure of what career to follow, the student has found respite in his personal hobbies. At least that was the case until recently.
Life Since Playing SwordArt: As one of the few people granted the privilege of playing SAO's Beta build, the teen instantly got an insatiable thirst for the game. Like a sugar rush with no end in sight. The composed fighter flourished in combat, fellow players perceived him as a symbol of perseverance. Of course, this was the complete opposite of what was going through his mind. He just found it as too much of a hassle to make a big display at every turn, rather finding peace in the subtle aspects of the game. All in all, he couldn't wait for the official release.
Ender was in the midst of scrounging up EXP off of boars when he was suddenly teleported to the spawn area and watched the announcement in utter silence, just like every player assembled there. Instead of adding to the cauophony of screams that bled into the mass, the boy retained his stoic composure, having already grasped that far more imposing challenges laid in his, and the remaining players' wake.
Theme Song: GigaP ft. Reol - No TitleDarkest Secret: Has actually been in a few fights out of school, and turned an assailants blade back on them.
