5'6" || 140 lbs || Brown Eyes || Afro-Latina || ||name|| Whitney "Whit" Diaz
||age|| 24
||gender|| Female
||background|| From a young age, Whitney has learned to be tough and look after herself. She grew up in a bad neighborhood in Compton, CA with her single mother and older half-brother. Because their mom worked long shifts at the diner to keep a roof over their heads and food on the table, Whit was practically raised by her brother. Her father had left them when she was five, and ever since then they'd been struggling. One day, when Whitney was eleven, her mother packed her and her brother a bag and drove them to their Aunt's house. She told them that she'd see them soon, but after she left, she was never heard from again.
From then on, Whitney lived with her Aunt and brother. Her Aunt never gave up on her, pushing her to do her best in school and make good choices. Whitney ended up earning a Full Ride Scholarship to Duke University, where she majored in Linguistics. After her Freshman year, though, she dropped out to pursue her singing career. Upset and disappointed with her decision, her Aunt cut her off completely. One year later, her brother was killed in a car accident. He'd been driving under the influence.
Now Whitney lives in New York. She is a bartender by day, and R&B lounge singer by night. She goes on a few dates here and there, but always breaks it off before things get too serious. She'd never let herself get close to or open up to any man or woman that she's dated, mainly because she's afraid that one day they'll end up leaving her.
||personality|| Whitney is a true independent woman; she can take care of herself financially, physically, emotionally, and mentally. She leans much more toward introversion than extroversion. She cherishes her "me-time," prefers to observe before she acts, and contributes to conversation only when she thinks she has something relevant to say. She tends to focus solely on her music. She's blunt, straightforward, and brutally honest. Although she seems mean and tough on the outside, she's actually really nice and soft on the inside; Not that she'd let anyone see it.
||what they look for in a partner|| Someone she can talk to about anything, and never run out of things to talk about. A man or woman that she can trust. Someone who can tell it like it is. He/She also has to be able to cook, because she cannot. It also wouldn't hurt if they had a good taste in music.
||reason for joining show|| One of her friends talked her into it after hearing about the last date she went on. Whitney had decided to go out for dinner with a guy she'd met in the grocery store, and all he would talk about is how many kids they'd have together. Long story short, Whitney got out of there as quickly as she could and never spoke to him again.
||other|| She loves R&B and old school hip-hop. She's never had a pet, but she loves dogs. She's allergic to peanuts.
