Name: Terra Anne-Marie Gordon
Age: 39
Gender: Female
Appearance:
Skin: Dark brown
Hair: Short, curly, golden-blonde
Eyes: Hazel, somewhat small
Height: Short
Position in the library: Guardian
Former job: US Military
Skills: Akido, Judo, Krav Maga, Boxing, general survival skills, some odd bits of knowledge picked up here and there on her travels or from being around her brothers.
History: Had three brothers who were huge nerds, and needed protection. Do you know how hard it is to find straight guys who can handle her? Not easy.
Anyway, Terra was the third born of four children. It was a pretty normal family. Her two older brothers were part of robotics clubs and chess club, and just about any other club they could get into. When Terra was five her younger brother was born, he had Cerebral Palsy. Things changed a lot after that, her mother left them being the biggest. Her father, wasn't really equipped to handle the four kids, especially one with special needs. He was at the time in the military and so he leaned heavily on the resources available. At first he figured Terra would be happy in things like Girl Scouts, which she did fine in, but she wasn't happy. As they got older and they moved around there were more and more fights. Finally Terra's father decided that the scrappy daughter, now 10 years old, needed an outlet a bit more fitting to her personality. He put her in some martial arts classes to see which she liked and she took to all of them like a fish in water. By the time she was 15 he was bringing her with him to his training's and she was holding her own against several of the other men who trained with him. By the time she was 18 she could beat many of them, and hold a stale mate for a while with most of them.
As soon as she was able to she joined the military and proved herself worthy quickly. She ended up joining a small special forces team when she was 23, just before 9/11. After 9/11 things got difficult for her.
Two years after 9/11 her father died in a car accident, and her mother decided to reappear in her life. It didn't take long for much of that drama to come to a climax ending in her younger brother's suicide and Terra distancing herself completely from her Mother. She threw herself into the military at that point. Her older brothers were teaching and had steady lives, they didn't need her anymore.
Fast-forward to 2015, Terra, now 38 was ready to retire from the military, but she had no idea what she wanted to do. She decided to take a 1 year contract doing special events all over the world. Two days before her contract ended Terra received her invitation from the library. Wholly confused and fortunately in the area, Terra decided to check it out.
