OKAY! After much back and forth in PMs and a shit ton of questions to refine things, Here are 3 CSes for you guys! I fully expect that I over did 'something' somewhere because NOBODY IS PERFECT!!! so I'm looking forward to seeing if anything needs refining >.> and just on a note, I have a habit of over-dramatizing some things when describing them in a CS, I just feel like I should add, none of them are going to try to take the spot-light and dominate the RP unless a GM chooses to drive things towards that happening somewhere.... I can't control it obviously, but every super hero RP needs a good Alien invasion!
Name: Emilian Jackson
Hero/Villain name: Snake
Age: 36 - looks closer to his early 20's though
Race: Cyber-human
Alias: Jack, Emil, Emmy
Appearance:
Roughly 6'2", Overall lithe 'shape', Tends to wear large and concealing clothing to cover up Cybernetics, Favoring Cloaks and trench-coats, Facial Cybernetics Retract to allow for the image of 'normality'.
Powers: From the neck down Emilian's body is Cybernetic.
I'm not going to list 'everything', because that'd be too long winded, just the 'special' things, other things are 'givens' for cyborg bodies, such as communication equipment, or having enhanced physical abilities. His body is an 'agility' style, Though it still possesses a couple factors greater strength and endurance than a human body, it is designed to possess Several factors 'more' in areas of speed, agility, and flexibility.
Basic Body functions are powered by 2 cores, A Primary Solar Powered core, and a Back up core incase of loss of primary or extended periods without being able to recharge, is also rechargeable through direct connection. Both of these are hardened against EMP attacks
Also Contains Tertiary and Quaduary[made up? XD] cores that power the body's 'special' functions. These cores are recharged by absorbing electrical discharges, or direct connection charging. Note: Yes, they let him negate electrical damage, but can be overloaded. These cores are not immune to EMP, but they tend to 'hunker' when EMP is detected, shutting off their functions, but preserving stored energy.
Head is still mostly human, also possessing smaller, more fragile, or more sensitive equipment, but body provides extending portions to protect it from head-shots.
He can choose for his body to simulate or ignore pain.
Emergency Nano-repair system - powered by the Quaduary core, This system allows his body to repair damaged portions. It's a moderately slow process, and the Core could be fully drained attempting to regenerate a lost arm.
Muscle Enhancement - Powered by the Tertiary core, This one directly over-charges the body's muscular augmentations to amplify it's strength and toughness by varying factors. and enhancement of 200% can drain the core in about an hour, 500% in about 20 minutes, 1000% in roughly 5 minutes. Anything higher tends to cause some internal damage [sparking the repair function] and saps the core exceedingly fast, generally under a minute.
Muscle enhancement is also used 'defensively' by a snap charge system, giving the body a barely 1 second burst of intense strength boost when anticipating heavy impacts, in order to minimize actual damage in exchange for some of the core's energy.
Sensory Enhancement - Standard Sensory levels for scent, sight, and hearing are modifiable, in a range of 'off' to double normal human acuity while using only base power, allowing them to adapt to differing conditions. Using the Quaduary Core these functions can be charged to greater levels.
Reflex enhancement - By expending a large ammount of energy at once, cognitive functionality and physical response time can be enhanced by numerous factors for a span of several seconds up to one minute depending on the level of enhancement. Uses the Tertiary core.
Skills:
Varied/Instinctual/programmed Martial Arts
Parkour
Advanced Swordplay
Cybernetic Self Maintenance
Use of a Cybernetic body
Weapons:
Muramasa: Yes, totally cliche for one to name their sword that, but he felt like it. It is kept slung on his lower back when concealed, resting against the back of his hips when ready to be drawn.
Muramasa is a Red-bladed High frequency blade, not exactly 'all slicing' as some may fantasize about when hearing that, but it's definitely harder to defend against, especially when using the Iaido Technique to maximize penetration of the swing.
when used with A combination of Reflex and muscle enhancement, the swing produced from drawing the blade can create a cutting shockwave based on how much enhancement was used.
Electro Sword Tails/Laser Tails: worn on his waist are fairly sizeable box-like attachments containing a number of slots, 8 on either side, each holding a disposable 2 foot sword blades. They are designed to be cheap and replaceable, though not useless, they are not 'made to last'.
From the back of these boxes extend a collection of cybernetic 'tails', usually coiled around his mid-section, the box itself, or other equipment of his. These tails possess a small 'discharge node' on the ends with several small mechanical tendrils around it allowing them to grab things, though they are individually only strong enough to handle light objects such as the disposable swords... Theoretically they could handle a gun, but it would be incredibly innacurate without using almost all of them to stabilize it. Their casings 'are' more durable than the swords they manipulate.
The discharge node in each 'tail' is capable of charging and releasing a small laser shot, not likely to be fatal on it's own, but this node can also impart electrical or magnetic charges into the swords the tails hold. The effect of the 'shot' is more effective when used like a melee attack, or when they are 'combined'.
These boxes/tails are powered by the Tertiary Core.
Gear:
aside expectable equipment that allow his cyborg body to interface with machines, with solid connections of course, and other standard functions, he has one unique piece so far, reffered to simply as his mobility system.
Attached below the back of his waste, a drum shaped mechanism with a number of grappling hooks built into it and the ability to direct them in numerous directions.
Powered by the Quaduary core, and typically useful for rapid unpredictable movement.
Can also be used for grabbing objects or enemies, whether to pull the enemy, or pull himself 'to' the enemy.
Personality: Emilian is a sword for hire, he puts himself off as 'indescriminate' to fit the profile of an expensive mercenary. Nobody really seems to know if there's more to him than this, but that's just how he wants it, if he changes his mind it's likely the suddenly 'former' employer won't expect it.
Background: Emilian's name is most likely a replacement for his original name, it seems that his history cuts off suddenly roughly a decade ago.
His retrievable 'backgroud' paints him as a non-descript young man who'd signed on with a certain 'defense contractor' and lost a leg while on the job, likewise getting a cybernetic replacement, though not very much at the time it served it's purpose fine...
His Resume since displays an impressive list of conflicts big and small that he was a part of, as well as a few personal jobs and a selective list of things his 'upgrades' can do... A sharp mind would likely pick out that it's more of an advertisement than a list of achievments and that it's likely most of his real jobs involved very 'rich' levels of discretion.
Other:
He owns a motor-cycle that he uses for more 'normal' transportation, as well as additional storage of back-up disposable swords and 'emergency recharge source' [only good for one recharge until it has been recharged itself.... It makes an incredibly dangerous explosive if someone sets it off while charged]
Name: Unknown [just because...]
Hero/Villain name: Regenerator, Re-Generation
Age: Unknown, pressumably a lot, tends to appear in the range of 20's
Race: Healing Talisman Soul-Jar, Soul Amalgamation, ????
Alias: Nathan Nuranus
Appearance: His base form is 'very' different than humans, but his standard humanoid form is about 5'8" and over-all 'designed' to be 'average'.
He has a 'base form' that represents His personas 'as one' when he is not 'humanized', but more important the real central part of his existence is in fact an object. In his chest where a heart 'should' be is a Red Crystal about the size and shape of a Large Egg, wrapped in an elaborate Gold casing.
Note: I am deliberately leaving his base form 'undescribed', if it is preffered I just go ahead and fill it out, lemme know and I'll do so.
Powers/Skills: I decided to combine the 2, due to the structure of one of the facets of his power.
Nathan's 'body' is in fact created from a Healing Talisman that has been super-charged by being turned into a Soul-jar.
It currently houses 6 Different souls, 5 that were put in it, and one that essetially 'congealed' out of the influence of the other 5 being stuck inside it, the one that 'normally' runs the body.
Some might consider this to be a vulnerability, But the act of binding a soul into an object [in his dimension at least] renders it monumentally durable, originally thought to be a viable method of making impenetrable armor, eventually evolved to the idea of creating immortals by attaching souls to regeneration talismans.
Needless to say, this is the source of his 'immortality', though it does not keep him from dying, the Soul Jar will keep regenerating him even from exceedingly ludicrous damage.
Personae:
The currently active persona can be discerned by the color change in his eyes, or much more noticeable physical changes when he is no in a human form.
Also, yes, they each have their own names, but they'd be kept private unless someone managed to weed them out of him.
'Base' is the base personality, displaying bits and pieces of the others, but overall is mild
The actual personality section below pertains to this Persona.
As the central point of the Collection of souls, he has small bits of the others personalities and abilities in him, including very minor finessed Telekinesis, somewhat dim night vision and environmental resistance, and a mildly enhanced cognitive functionality for understanding plans... but he can easily be out-sourced to any one of the other personalities.
Restricted Telekinesis - can only affect a few objects at a time, specialized to using it for shooting guns. Cannot be used on heavier or larger objects, and can fairly easily be broken.
Gunner has a sharp eye and an even sharper wit, tending to be quick with choice insults and playful jabs of questionable morality.
Physical effects from Gunner being in control tend to lean towards a bit more speed and sharper senses.
Improved Telekinesis - Can affect a larger number of things with greater finesse and can affect Large heavy objects, to a degree, mainly used to manipulate lots of small pieces into creating useful tools using Mechanic's Intelligence.
Mechanic tends to put himself across as a bit of a nutcase, Always experimenting in making new 'toys' and bearing an insatiable hunger for learning all things technological. He is something of a genius, but one with a slightly crazy sense of humor and a lack of Social Tact.
Mechanic doesn't really have much in the way of physical effects, relying on his 'toys' to save himself in a fight.
weather Coating - Because of 'what' Acrobat was, he has a good resistance to environmental and weather based threats, wind sheer, lightning, heat and cold, that such, not extensive of course, but better than nothing. He also has an inherent ability to 'physically touch' weather constructs, such as moving clouds or pushing against wind, though this also means that such weahter constructs can be used against him [i.e. 'crashing' into a cloud, while softer than crashing into stone, would still stop him dead unless he's going fast enough to break the cloud.]
Acrobat is a bit of a hard-headed showoff, certain beyond reason that he can handle just about anything, and generally getting the group into more trouble than neccesary when in control. He's quick to challenge others and try to start a fight, but overall not directly 'dangerous' and if someone impresses him he can actually be very 'sportingly friendly'.
when Acrobat is in control he tends to bring wings with him as well as some physical stream lining, kindof slow compared to what he used when he was 'alive' before, but better than not having them, and still helpful for avoiding getting plowed into the cement.
Shadow Jump - Because of what 'assassin' was before getting stuck in the Soul jar he is capable of 'shadow jumping', which essentially translates to teleportation by phasing into 'The shadow world' [that's how he describes it at least], and then reappearing in another location. Being only a small part of what he once was though, it is increasingly nauseating to use it in rapid succession, doing so more than a few times in a row is liable to end him up on the ground in a puddle of vomit, or broken pieces if he's flying when he does it.
Assassin is just like he sounds, an assassin, cold, quiet, vicious, he likes to acquire reward for doing his job, and is not squeemish about what methods he uses to get said job done. That said, he has become grudgingly accepting of company due to being trapped with several other individuals whether he likes it or not, he has learned to be adaptable and to accept the fact that he's stuck with other people, and thus must learn to accept the opinions of others.
Assassin's physical effects are actually pretty similar to Acrobat's, though the wings he brings are more bat-like in style and more useful for agility than for speed. Likewise, it tends to involve some increased physical agility with it, as well as some effective night vision.
Mastermind: Unlike the others he had no real 'powers' in life, instead using his mind to it's fullest to plot and plan and control... Something that is hard to diminish simply by being dead. He has an advanced ability to create, interpret, and understand complex plans and schemes and is often responsible for the Collective's backup plans.
Slaver is a generally nasty individual, though forcibly molified by being joined with much less malicious comrades, He is the type to view others as pawns in what he calls 'the eternal game', something that explains implies that everyone is either a player, or a pawn, and the pawns will always be used by 'someone' so he might as well be the one to use them.
Slaver's physical effects just tend to make the body tougher thanks to his race before death, but otherwise he doesn't bring anything special to the body.
Weapons: Currently, only improvised weapons
Gear: Likewise, only if he can improvise it on the spot, so far.
Personality: Nathan is a difficult one to describe, Being that he has half a dozen personalities present.
On standard however he is smiley and cheerful, if a bit 'loopy' with an unhealthy sense of humor, and is not at all shy about saying very unusual, or disturbing, things. Normally he 'tries' to be harmless, wild, full of jokes and piss and vinegar, but harmless, the Different Persona's are more likely to be dangerous, and more useful too generally.
Background: Nathan portrays himself as a nameless business man, traveling at random with his companion Lilly, a roughly chest high 'robot' horse.
The reality of the matter is that he hails from a different dimension, wherein he was the result of a magical experiment in creating immortals... The sucky part is that it created a perpetually regenerating body that 'can't' die, even when it tries to, one filled with half a dozen different souls wrestling for control.
The funny part, is that it ended up in 'this' dimension because of an attempt to use an extremely destructive magical detonation to find that 'end', only to find a new beginning instead... Better than wandering a suffocating wasteland for ther rest of eternity though, and this new place seems so lively and vibrant by comparison.
Other: If it's preffered, I will explain things in more detail, but otherwise some things are being kept deliberately unknown for the sake of development :D
Also of note, The 'human form' is a disguise made by the talisman's regeneration magic learning what the standard of this dimension is, but not being his natural form, it can be dispelled by those with magic stuff to do that with XD
Lilly - Lilly appears to be a robotic pony thing, though she is in-fact a suit of armor that was turned into a Soul jar... even though she is nigh indestrucible from being a soul jar, she has no inherent weaponry and is of no use to a 'human' body, but some suitable modifications to the helmet of her armor at least allow her to speak. However, she is infact completely hollow inside, and a wonderful place to hide things!
Name: Rasavadam [I forgot what language that name was in XD]
Hero/Villain name: Changeling
Age: Unknown
Race: Changeling - Alien
Alias: Rasav, Theta, Lost king, any number of 'spur of the moment names' he may use for a disguise.
Appearance:
The image is not specifically 'him', but is the only thing on the whole damn internet i could find suitably fitting his species.
Comparable to the image the main different is that the color cheme for his Eyes, Hair, Tail, and wings would be more red.. Overall he is roughly 8 feet tall, though thanks to his body structure, and preference of moving on 4's when not disguise, he tends to appear shorter than that.
Credit goes to... the guy who drew it, I don't know who i found it by luck XD
Powers: Based on so many CSes not 'explaining' their powers, I won't be hardcore about it either :D But, I do have specific limits and levels in mind for all the abilities, I'll explain better if you ask me to :D
Empathic Feeding and affecting [Uses emotional energy as food instead of plain 'food', and methods of creating those emotions]
Shape shifting [Limited by available body mass]
Bio-magic [Biological recreation of magic]
Hive Command [Can command other insects of lesser mind, lower versions of 'his own kind', or 'drained' victims]
High Durability Shaped Carapace
Impact Environmentals Resitant Under Carapace
Zip Flight Insect wings [Agility over Speed]
Dense muscle tissue
Insectoid Alien Stereotypical Abilities >XD
Skills: Parkour, Sneaking, Emotional Manipulation,
Weapons: His body, Claws, Horn, Shifted weapons.
Gear: Nothing in particular
Personality: Rasav's ability to blend in with humans and extensive instinctual and practiced experience for doing such allow him to be quite the impressive 'actor', and as such it is very difficult to really 'know' him as any personality he displays could very well be an act put on to serve his needs.
Most commonly though his disguises tend to do helpful things for others, charity, repairs, medical services... He is a very mobile individual, a trait that's meant to keep him nigh undetectable as he goes about some unseen agenda of his own.
Background: Rasav is part of a currently undiscovered, on earth at least [unless GM wants otherwise XD], Race of alien's known as changelings, insectoid creatures that disguise as their prey and feed on their emotional energy to sustain themselves and grow in strength. Their natural ability to disguise themselves as just about anything that isn't 'massive by comparison' allows them great lee-way in methods of concealing themselves and going unnoticed. They are each individuals, but tend to function in a hive structure, with kings/queens at the top of the ladder holding power over their lessers, with few having the power to defy the will of the hive unless granted it.
Rasav's specific origins are unknown, but his time on earth begins in Russia where he spent several years learning about humanity and how to blend in with them specifically, before breaking into travel across the world... Eventually resulting in coming to Second city, perhaps foolish to some being how loaded it is with powerful individuals, but it seems a place ever in need of help, and not lacking in those in need of help who are all too happy to give a bit of admiration and joy to their saviors.
