I don't know how long it will take. Ask Hellis how many IC days the arc will be, you'll be on more often than I tonight, until I get off work that is.

So for now we'll hold off on that. But Eva will bump into Ben soon.

Character Personality: Even for an artificial extraterrestrial life form, you'll have a hard time finding someone with as much heart as Riley, alien or otherwise. Facing whatever life throws at her with cheerful optimism, a warm smile, and an arsenal of sci-fi references, her friendly personality and quirky sense of humor is almost infectious and she likes to see the best in everyone she encounters, good or evil. Life's an adventure to her, and she absolutely loves meeting and befriending new people thanks to her natural empathy and sociability, as well as discovering new and interesting things to interact with. Her cheerfulness can be grating at times, and sometimes she can be a bit naive about serious issues, but when the chips are down and she's pushed too far, her anger and sadness can be just as powerful and aggressive as her happiness.

Generally how she looks, minus the gun of course. When hero-ing she will have body armor resembling this, modified to fit her unique anatomy, fitted with Psinetic Inhibitor Rings around her wrists, and painted in a more vibrant purple with black highlights.

Origin Info/Details: Shortly before the events in Lost Haven began, ESA satellites detected an unknown object crash into the Mediterranean a few miles off the coast of Corsica. After the initial team sent to observe the area mysteriously vanished, the French government deployed an elite GIGN division to secure the crash site. The unknown object was discovered to be an extraterrestrial spacecraft piloted by a humanoid alien life form. The alien attempted to fight off the GIGN unit using a strange purple energy source, but GIGN managed to subdue the alien and capture its spacecraft in the brutal firefight only to discover that the alien was already dead, probably killed long before the spacecraft reached Earth. Perplexed by how a dead creature could slaughter their initial recovery team and hold its own against an elite spec ops unit, the French government put the alien cadaver in cold storage and quietly covered up the incident until they had the means to uncover the source of the alien's mysterious abilities.

The situation changed after a portal opened up and unleashed an army of demons on an American city known as Lost Haven. Realizing that they were incredibly unsuited to dealing with a similar attack, the French government along with other NATO members spearheaded new military and technology projects that would hopefully better prepare them for similar threats like Lost Haven's D-Day. The mysterious energy that the alien had used to cheat death and defend itself at Corsica was brought up as a possible defensive measure, and after much debate the alien corpse was handed over to Darrow Engineering, a London-based high-technology corporation and defense contractor specializing in the biological and chemical sciences, for further research. Darrow pooled together every resource they had into unlocking the secret behind the alien's abilities, even drawing the CEO's interest in the research, until they began to draw a detailed picture of the capabilities of this mysterious power source, dubbed "psinetic energy". It was progress, but unfortunately without a living source of this psinetic energy it would be impossible to study the capabilities of this energy any further, let alone harness it. Publicly, Darrow Engineering declared that the project had hit a stalemate, while behind closed doors the creation of a being that could harness this energy was discussed. Many ideas were brought forth, but the most radical was the brainchild of Dr. Alaric Gaster, who proposed the creation of a human-alien hybrid that could harness psinetic energy and serve as a prototype for future generations of psinetic-wielding beings. Despite heated objections and a few unfriendly comparisons to one Dr. Frankenstein, the CEO of the company privately gave his approval to the creation of this new life form, classified under the name Project Forethought. Secretly delivered the alien cadaver and several samples of human DNA, Gaster took his experiment and settled in Molotov Point, a secret Darrow research facility in Siberia, to begin work on what would become his greatest creation.

The project went on for months, with little communication from the staff at Molotov Point, good or otherwise. Gaster's haphazard reports ambiguously detailed his efforts to breed new half-alien lifeforms, while regular staff reports were unusually lax during this time, almost as if they had been stopped from heading out. The last transmission from Molotov Point came when Gaster reported the successful creation of what he called "BPE-45A" shortly before an unusually powerful blizzard descended on the research facility, cutting it off from outside contact. During the storm, Russian weather outposts reported unusual atmospheric conditions in the area where the facility was located, and after the storm cleared Molotov Point remained quiet. After a scouting party was sent to investigate, Darrow immediately declared the facility to be decommissioned and scrubbed everything to do with Project Forethought from their official records. Gaster and the rest of the research staff have been missing ever since the storm rolled in.

Before the facility went dark, however, one of Gaster's staff gave the order for an unusually large package to be delivered to a former Darrow Engineering staff member, Jordan Fletcher, currently working for Poseidon Energy as security under Dr. Alexander Martel. The package was labeled BPE-45A.

Riley's half-alien genomes allow her to wield and manipulate a mysterious alien energy source known as Psinetic energy, which manifests in the form of purple energy discharges and electrical arcs. As powerful as it is unknown and dangerous, Riley is able to tap into a seemingly endless reservoir of Psinetic energy, hampered only by her relative inexperience with the substance. She usually wears specialized equipment to help her control the energy, but she can choose to disable it to increase her power output at the cost of stability. Some of her uses for Psinetic energy currently include:

Psiblast: Riley is able to fire fast-moving concussive energy blasts from her hands of varying size and strength. She can also prevent a blast from immediately exploding, allowing her to cancel it out or manipulate it like a ball of light, or concentrate it into a powerful beam of energy. Simple, effective, and one of her favorite abilities to use.

Psiforce: Riley can charge her own body with Psinetic energy for a burst of strength, indicated by a glowing aura. She can use this on her arms to land an extra strong punch, her legs to jump high into the air and land safely, or even her skin to protect against an attack. She has to time it correctly for it to work, however, since she can't hold a Psiforce ability for more then a few seconds.

In addition to her Psinetic powers, her outfit gives her some moderate defense without sacrificing her mobility, and her learning speed and reaction time have been artificially enhanced by the experiment that created her. She is also able to converse fluently in English, Chinese, Japanese, and Klingon.

Weaknesses: Riley's biggest weakness is essentially the infinite amount of Psionic energy she can draw on turning her into a glass cannon. She can handle sustained use of her powers as long as it's controlled well, but if she pushes beyond her limits her body can start to break down from the intense amount of energy she is channeling, making her more vulnerable or even causing physical harm if she pushes her abilities too far.

Supporting Characters:
Jordan Fletcher: The newest member of the security staff at a Poseidon Laboratory in Pacific Point, a fiery Irishwoman with an aggressive personality who becomes the unwitting recipient of a half-alien superheroine thanks to her past employment at Darrow.
Dr. Alexander Martel: An aging but sharp-witted scientist employed by Poseidon who specializes in unusual energy sources. Despite his English origin and fondness for wry humor, he gets along famously well with the newest member of his security team.
'Zhanya': Unknown Darrow Engineering employee, believed to be the sender of BPE-45A.

Selfish and standoffish, Morton is a product of a rough life with all the scars to prove it. In his eyes, if something can be taken, it should, most especially if it's worth big bucks. Whether through force or deceit, he sees that the world is one big, fat oyster that only the strong get to enjoy. Of course, nicely paired with this is a strong streak of overconfidence and an ego that is dangerously in need of deflating.

On the personal level, Morton is quite obviously insufferable at times, but deep down he's not a true sadist, nor is he totally insane. While dismissive of things like morality, he has the capability to be a halfway personable friend, a fact only really known by those that grew up with him. In short, he's a a bad man, but not a complete monster.

Uniform/costume:

While in his normal attire, Morton is hardly anything special, typically sporting a shoddy blue, denim jacket, blue jeans, and whatever undershirt he happens to find first on the floor of his van.

However, when he dons the visage of Bonefist, he becomes something quite noticeable. Wearing a buttoned-up black denim jacket with crossbones painted on the back, a bulky bullet-proof vest underneath, and a balaclava (of course sporting a haphazardly painted skull over the cloth), Morton resembles some sort of street thug turned skeleton. What draws the attention most of all however is his large, mechanic gauntlet affixed to his right hand, its grey metal sporting a loose rendition of a skeletal hand, the centerpiece of his entire outfit, and one he takes the most pride in.

Origin Info/Details:

Born on the streets of New York City, Dirk Morton was quickly abandoned by his deadbeat parents, left to the state to raise. Bouncing from children's home to children's home, family to family, Morton grew up as a troubled youth, venting his frustration in the only means he felt he had - crime. Essentially a petty thug for the vast majority of his life, the only brief period where Morton opted to shape up was when he tried to become a police officer of all things, joining the police academy to turn his life around.

Fate would be an unkind mistress and Morton found himself expelled following a violent scuffle between himself and a peer. While not wholly at fault, the blame was levied solely on him because of his background as a "punk". Disillusioned, Morton redoubled his efforts to fight against "the Man" and society, and so it came to be that he entered the life of a minor gangster, an enforcer for a local clique that was small potatoes to real crime lords. This however would set him on the path to becoming Bonefist, as his crime sprees brought him to labs of one Doctor Spiegler.

Beginning as a standard robbery, Morton found himself looting the apartment of "some science nerd" named Spiegler, some aspiring inventor who probably had some good electronics to pawn. What Morton found however was the Spiegler Kinectic Energy Localizer (or SKELE), a fancy title for what was essentially a metal gauntlet that hit with a massive addition to punching power, a sort of power-fist. Seeing opportunity, Morton grabbed the device for himself, and with it, he saw great potential, a chance to even the playing field between himself and the world. Now he had the tools to be something better than a street rat - he could be rich, he could be famous, he could be a crime legend!

SKELE Power-Fist: While a normal man, the SKELE Power-Fist allows Morton to punch with an abnormal amount of power with little effort. When in an active state, the Power-Fist can punch through solid walls (or humans!), the number of times dependent on the material. While a typical household wall would take a single blow, Morton has found that things like pesky bank vaults require around five to nine smacks before they open up.

"Come on man, that looks ridiculous! What are you, a Halloween ad?"

Morton continued to ignore his friend. There was a reason they called him "Cheesy" Peake; he was a classic rat who didn't know anything. Slipping on his balaclava, he struggled to adjust it to where it looked just perfect while simultaneously trying to hide his efforts. Before Cheesy could get in another dig, a sharp knock rattled the flimsy apartment door.

"Who the-" began Morton, but Cheesy waved away his concerns.

"Just the pizza guy."

"Pizza guy!? Think maybe you should have gave me the heads-up so, y'know, he doesn't see who I am?

"As if anyone knows who you are." Cheesy laughed and went to the door, hesitating before he opened it. "Oh, and you're buying, I'm out of cash."

Morton snatched up his nearly-empty and chucked it at Cheesy, popping him in the head. First the rat whines and now asks for hand-outs. Mouthing a few expletives in response, Cheesy grabbed the wallet from the ground and moved to procure his pizza, emptying the wallet of its few, lonely dollars. Pressing himself back in the already cramped apartment, Morton continued gearing up, putting the final piece on, the magnum opus, his ticket out of the gutters - the SKELE Power-Fist.

Like a child opening a Christmas present, his face lit up as he took it from its hiding spot, stashed under a rickety cabinet. Although outwardly simple, Morton, through his own limited inspection, saw it as a wonder in his eyes, a design simplistic and sufficiently brutish. A giant fist, adorned with his own addition of a painted skeletal hand, perfect for making his mark. As he slid in on, its working swallowing his arm up nearly to the elbow, he flipped a switch location behind a tiny panel. With that came the hum of its activation, as gizmos and gadgets began to whir to life, a satisfying tune that would be interrupted by a heated discussion in the next room.

"Seriously man, you ALWAYS stiff me on the tip! Not even a dollar, ONE DOLLAR!" yelled an unknown voice, though it was apparent that it belonged to the pizza delivery man. Cheesy of course denied such claims, despite them being completely true, and the argument only escalated from there. This was a special time for Morton, and he had little patience at the moment for an annoying - not to mention attention-grabbing - dispute breaking out.

Adjusting his mask one last time, he stood and quickly entered the main room, in view of the front door. Glancing over, the delivery man, some thirty-something deadbeat by the looks of him, suddenly lost his train of thought, his round of screaming fading to a vague "uhhh?" Without breaking a stride, Morton marched up to the man and delivered a quick jab to his stomach, sending the man back, out of the room, into the hallway, and right into the thin wall directly opposite the door before falling unto the carpeted floor. Cheesy stood mouth agape until the man began to stir. Looking up, the delivery man was aghast and looking a bit nauseous, and without much pomp he ran. Had Morton not lowered the power levels on his Power-Fist, he may not have been alive enough to do even that. As the man neared the staircase and took one final look at his attackers, Morton decided to put the cherry on top.

"And keep the change!"
