Character Questionnaire
Silly questions to help fill out the more normal life bits.
1a: Best dream your character has had.I always smiled at the one dream where I was with Jason celebrating my gold medal at the Olympics. It had two of the loves of my life.
1b:Worst?Perhaps my reoccurring nightmare that replays one particular life event. I don’t really want to talk about that but you can look at my character sheet if you’d want to know more.
1c: Weirdest? To be honest, with my reoccurring nightmare that occurs on most nights, I don’t remember the better or weirder dreams, barring the best dream that was mentioned.
2: Sleep style?(Using these handy charts.)It initially starts off with the Runner, then migrates to the Fetal Punch or the classic fetal position if I had that nightmare.
3: Do they drool? Talk? Sleepwalk? Other weird habits? As far as I am aware, I haven’t done any of the above. Have screamed myself awake on multiple occasions.
4: Music? White noise? Something else?I do have an app on my phone that plays rain sounds. Quite soothing to listen to the rain.
5: How many times do they wake up to go pee?I rarely do this, perhaps once to twice a month.
1: Is there a routine? If so, what is it?Once I wake up, I’d go into the shared kitchen that I share with my long-time friend Mia and have breakfast. Once I’ve had breakfast, showered and get ready, I’d head into my personal office that Mia allows me to use (and where I currently conduct my vigilante stuff from) and shoot at least 150 arrows into a target to keep my archery going.
1a: Are there wounds getting patched up on the regular? So far, I haven’t had much of the need to patch myself up. However, I think that as I continue in this way of life, I will be needing to.
1b: Singing in the shower? No, can’t sing. I just stand there in silent reflection of myself and life… Just kidding, I may or may not. Just depends on mood on that morning.
2: What's for breakfast, typically?I’m still living my national athlete routine, so I have low-fat greek yoghurt with various fruit, flax seeds or oats and a tablespoon of honey.
2b: What if they're running late?As an archer, I never usually run late as I try to get enough sleep the night before. In the case I do, I have already prepared bacon to make a quick sandwich. Either that or a bowl of cereal.
3: What section of the newspaper holds the most interest? Why?I read the local news. It keeps me informed about current affairs in the city and helps with getting my information about the Penose to go on.
4: Coffee, tea, or water? Or something else?I generally drink unsweetened green tea, rarely adding a small amount of honey into it. More often than not I’d drink water.
5: Are they actually getting ready for work, or just slacking off until they have to leave? On days I have to go to work, I generally get ready for work before I do my daily 150-200 arrows.
6: Do they leave on time?If I don’t forget what day I’m on, I leave on time.
6b: Is it difficult to do so?No.
7: Is there actually a job? Or are they just heroing/villaining it up?A former full-time athlete at USA Archery, I still shoot for them and hopefully will get back into the level I was at pre-incident. In the meantime, I work as a mechanic and work on the custom electronics at Taylor’s Garage.
7b: If they do work for the weekend, do they like it or hate it?If they need me, I’ll work the hours. It might be hard work working at the weekends, but it pays well and means I don’t have to work in the evenings or night time.
8: Are their co-workers terrible at this, or nah?My co-workers have a specific role when working in the garage and they are good at their jobs. However, they can be flexible and work on other areas bar the electronics. I think my Electrical Engineering might have something to do with that.
9: How about the boss?Jeremy is a wonderful guy who does allow us, every once in a while, to customize a car to sell. He is ambitious in expanding his ‘empire’, but he has been a good father figure for me. Much better than my father ever could be.
1: Lunchtime! Are they going cheap? Grabbin' a beer? What's going on?I’d always be up for trying any of the restaurants in the area, the cost for lunch not mattering too much unless it’s a high-end, fine dining one. I wouldn’t be drinking alcohol as I don’t see why it’s any good for the middle of the day when there’s still work going on.
2: Slow to get back to the grind?Apart from getting more green tea, I’d be back to work rather quickly. Electronics is very time consuming and won’t get done under tight time schedules.
3: So how long does it take before they're counting down to clocking out?I’m usually absorbed in working with electronic components (the reason why I did Electrical Engineering in the first place) and more often than not go over the time that I should be clocking out.
4: Off of normal daily activities! Do they head off to relax, or is it straight to extraneous activities the government may or may not approve of?I’m usually off to either do more archery or going to my kickboxing mentor and putting in hours in to help build up my shoulder.
5: Avoiding the commute by taking...alternative methods of transport? Or slumming it up in the subways and buses?I’m usually slumming it down on the buses as my everyday motorbike is not fully fixed yet. I wouldn’t want to get caught out riding the one I use in my Fletch get-up.
6: Hobbies to take care of before things get rough in the darkness?Apart from archery and working on new arrow-types for Fletch, I’d just spend time watching anything on the television
7: Are we respecting the noise ordnance, blasting music, or somewhere in between?I’m keeping to the noise ordnance. The walls, floor and ceiling, although renovated and now looking modern, are relatively thin so noise can go through the easily.
1a: For heroes: Patrolling like the Golden Age guys, or investigating long term stuff?Ever since
the bus blew up and injured my friend’s boyfriend, I’ve been tracking down who caused it and give them the justice they deserve. One way or another.
1b: For villains: Got somewhere to be for general mayhem, or plotting for a big job?1c: For everyone: Or is it nap time?2: Dinner on the go, or eat before they leave? It’s often dinner on the go, though I have enough money to get things such as granola bars to top up. I don’t’ generally eat much in the evening.
3: Night owl, or retiring early?Generally a night owl, though I am somehow able to wake up early in the morning.
Quirks, traits, and other ridiculousness
1: Favourite music genre?Grew up listening to rock music and wouldn’t change it for anything else
1a: Blastin' it or quiet enjoyment?I listen to it at a reasonable level, but if I had to choose from the two, it’s more quiet enjoyment.
Least favourite song?Anything hip-hop. Not a big fan of the majority of the lyrics.
2: Sweet or savoury foods?I’m not big on the sweet foods, so savoury.
3: Alcohol, or nah?Generally no, but I will have one or two shandies when out celebrating. Don’t really like the taste or the buzz that comes with it.
4: Underwear style?I’ll keep that information to myself, thank you.
5: Guilty pleasure?Definitely eating cheap Mexican food and cherry ice cream while binge watching shows like Gossip Girl.
6: Most embarrassing childhood memory? Not saying a word. I do not want that used against me.
7: Dumbest common expression?A piece of cake. Nothing is easy.
8: Worst one-liner?Anything related to archery. I get them enough at the club I shoot at.
9: Best hat?Definitely my
sun visor from Easton.10: Animal they unreasonably hate the most?Geese. I’ll leave it at that.
10a: Unreasonably love the most?Sugar gliders. I mean,
look at them.11: Least favoureite colour to include in a plaid pattern? Not a big fan of pink or teal.
12: Do they watch sports? If so, which sport do they most like to see people injured in?Apart from watching archery and UFC, I’d generally watch anything that other people want to watch if I’m invited.
12A: Least?I’m just indifferent with other sports. I mean, I can see how people are interested in them, but I have my own interests.
