Kaathe had been hiding and following the group in secret for a while, since any dark elf that wasn't a recognized watcher (and/or attempted to hop onto the ship from the sinking vessel) was canonically shown no remorse.

@OtomostheCrazyah fuck my bad man, I wanted us to move onto Dustorne so the ohers waiting could jump in. you could put that Kaathe was disovered but his identity was confirmed by Tyr so you don't have to hide the whole time. I tried to write the post in way that gave space for everyone to fill in their own charcter's recollection of events up to where we are now
