Yeah. Since they said that they were going to post something to progress that overall story, I don't think anyone wants to attempt making full-on interactions, because it could get cut off before it can develop.

@Zelosse Well, they aren't going to be as much of a fighter as the rest of the characters. More like a traveling entertainer. They won't be completely helpless, but they definitely won't be able to fight without anyone's help.

@OtomostheCrazy seems like he would be a detriment to the party given that he would need a babysitter.
Does his illusions benefit the teams combat/escape mechanics and thus make him a crucial member? Given that Kaathe can do better illusions it stands to ask why we would need a weaker version.

Sell the idea here mate. What's this guy excel at. How does he use his gifts?

I haven't decided on a gender yet, but their illusion magic is more focused on distracting and misdirecting enemies of all kinds with both flair and more down to earth illusions. Unlike Kaathe, his illusions don't make people go insane and rabid, but they certainly would handle a larger area of effect for longer, and can produce more illusions even when they're already sending them out. Aside from that, I'm thinking of making them more of an entertainer, so they'd know a few songs from here and there, and would have a bow and quiver of arrows at the ready.

@OtomostheCrazy I'll Be Honest It Just sounds like another Kaathe. Two IS better than one, but being unique is important.
I'm OK with it personally if it's a continuation of training from Kaathe to this newcomer. Like did they join the order to follow their mentor, and has rejoined him?
That'd be cool actually.

Following, and there's a few differences. Kaathe is an actual trained warrior, and uses his magic to fight. The character I'm thinking of only knows how to perform, and doesn't quite know how to do anything more than mislead, and wound.

Kaathe is a dark person that figures Fate only wants to ensure that everyone is thrown under the wagon. The student is more cheerful, and wants to see a world of joy and whatnot.

Aside from that, you're correct about the reason I'd probably have them arrive. To follow their mentor, and receive a better understanding of Illusory magic.

Maybe you can introduce him after? Our party is getting fairly big. Ultimately its TDT's decision though.
