Vix -- Prepare for Trouble
Jaden sounded hesitant, nervous even. Such tension brought a slight smile to her lips. Concern not only for her, but also the peculiar duo that was approaching them. He was kind, perhaps to the point of naiveté, and she actually envied him a little for it.
He didn't have to grow up jaded, like her. Each perspective on this world would be entirely brand new to him!
Did you grow up in a castle or something? Sheesh.
She shook her head then, regaining focus as first the girl approached them, alongside her was her spook no less. Her nose twitched, this one reeked of steel and death. A steel-ghost type? Interesting to say the least. Yet what was more interesting was the grit of her teeth behind the smile, she was trying to he brave, but she certainly didn't look it.
A coy smirk grew steadily on her lips; with it, the inclination for mischief also followed. Yet still beyond it all, his insistence that they wait for a Pokémon Center to nearby spoke volumes to one thing. He was not only genuinely concerned about her; he was worried for the girl and her companion as well.
That, and then pleading look he gave her after introductions were finally given spoke to one simple thing: he wanted her to he nice. No mischief, no smart mouth, no tricks of any sort.
She had to bite her lip first to keep her mouth shut, with a tiny little fang digging down into her bottom lip. Making her wince just briefly before folding her arms into her sleeves and bowing deeply, as it were naturally a tradition of Kanto to do so.
"Vix's the name, melting lame steel-types into slag is the gam-...oh my heavens I'm sorry. That slipped my tongue, please, I apologize." She stammered towards the end, smiling sheepishly before bowing a second time, this instance being in apology for insulting the steely ghost in front of her.
At least I tried! One can only keep my tongue silenced for so long!
She glanced back to Jaden apologetically, before continuing to speak. "My trainer is right, it's probably wisest to wait until we have a Center nearby that can reforge a broken blad..sorry! So sorry again! I'll...um...just...be, just yeah. Shushed on those jokes for now."
She bowed then a third time, before turning back to the route. "SO, shall we get going, the three of us? Ghostsdon'tcountbecausethey'realreadydead. You know, I heard a great joke once. It started like this: A boy, a girl, and an overgrown railroad spike witharibbontiedtoitbecauseheneededtofeelpretty walk into a bar..."
