Tim then started to cry and stopped the vehicle. "We tried to save as many people as we could, but noone would listen, then when it hit the chaos forced us out of the cities and back into our compounds" Tim said between tears "I stayed out on the surface with my squad trying to help people that were in trouble but everyone had turned into animals, killing and eating each other. Then BLAKE got bit, it only took an hour for him to turn. Then everyone else fell victem to that swarm that just hit us" I got bit too" said Tim showing an old bite mark on his side. "But I'm not affected by the virus. I was an early test subject for the Medicine and I became immune to the basic genetic structures of the pathogen so I'm OK. Other than that the world is shit"

"I assume thats what the government wanted everyone to think?" Jax laughed mirthlessly. "Dont worry Cap, the jig is up. When i was with my original group, we found out that no one knew what this was. Apparently, a gene that almost every human carried mutated. It killed everyone who carried it from the inside. Flesh-eating freaks was the result."

Oliver punched Tim. "Crying is not an option. You're supposed to be a soldier. Crying isn't allowed in this world." He says this in such a cold way, it scares you. "As for the bite mark, I'm still watching, and I will not hesitate to blow your brains out."

"But I got bit by one of those things about 6 months ago when I was scouting in the city" why am I not dead?"

Tim starts to smile" I got you guys!!! Holy shit that was fun!!! I was never bit its just a clear sticker. But everything else is true to the best of my knowledge. Well fun's over, Tim got the vehicle back on the road. And my squad said I wasent good at pulling a joke."he said laughing! Tim piked up the radio and turned it on,"Breaker,Breaker foxtrot, this is The Rifleman callingh in do you copy?"

"Wait, something's wrong. They aren't responding." He shoved the shiv back into his leather jacket's breast pocket. He gets his rifle ready. "As for the joke, if you ever do that again, I will blow your brains out." You can tell he isn't joking.

"Yeah good guess" said Tim changing the radio the the emrgancy frequency. "BREAKER, BREAKER FOXTROT, THIS IS THE RIFLEMAN CALLING IN DO YOU COPY?!" "WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON DOWN THERE!?!" yelled Tim into the radio mic. Tim hit the accelerators and the speed gauge jumped to 120 miles an hour.

He looked at Jax. He turned the safety off his rifle. "Don't think I'm not watching you too, Sunshine."

"FUCK!!" yelled Tim." This is not good I'm getting no signal" "something happened, BEN is always on the radio.

Jax elbowed Oliver in the nose. "Watch who you're talking to like that boy. At least until you know how to really handle yourself."

"Best I can tell, Ben's dead. It seems the base isn't as fortified as you think. As for you, Jax, I cried to keep him from killing me. I was hungry because I couldn't find any buildings to scavenge. And how do you think I lasted so long with limited ammo? Because I know how to handle myself."

"Well then" said tim "change of plans, to the harbour,I'll contact the fleet" Breaker,Breaker Gamma, this is The Rifleman calling in do you copy?" As he said this he spun turned the Humvee the the right at a crossroads and hit the gauge to 190 mph" buckle up" he said "this may take awhile"

"It'll take us almost 6 hours to get from Charlotte to the coast. Is your radio signal even that broad?" Jax asked, a little frustrated.

Oliver looked out the window. Should I stay with these people? They could be useful as distraction if things get too bad. They are strong, so I doubt this could happen.
