Wait, damn it, I forgot about staring Gallus and Peiter's scene. Just a sec.

Edit: There we go.

I can add a response to Gallus' and Peiter's scene if you like, but I think I'm running out of things to say with him. I need to head to class in a few minutes, so I'll have to add it later.

As for the pack and the rest of the warband, they'll probably be facing a lot of skirmishes as they head deeper into the ruin, but we can summarize those and focus on the important parts. Probably don't want to dwell too long in this part, since we have many more to get to.

Yeah, I'm on the last topic I really wanted to touch on between Peiter and Gallus. I'm about to head to sleep, so there's no rush in adding to your post.

I'm happy to summarise the skirmishes, too.

Man, I remember the first time I saw Blackreach. That was a great moment, it really blind-sided me.

Yeah, and if you're taking a more realistic interpretation of scale, the place is massive. It connects to ruins far apart across Winterhold and the Pale.

Jeez, you're right, it's a wonder that there aren't more sinkholes over those regions.

I think it's pretty deep underground. Maybe an ancient magma chamber? Or maybe the Dwemer just carved the whole thing out themselves. They did build their own Tower/machine god. It does have quite a few unique resources, though. I have some ideas of what they can do in the place, and if you think of anything, feel free to add it.

I think the sheer size of the warband would probably discourage most Falmer attacks, though they might have light skirmishes with automatons that don't know the meaning of the word "outnumbered." In any case, do you think a few hours would be reasonable for them to reach that large structure with the glowing orb in Blackreach?

Been really busy the last couple of days. I have work now, so if I don't make a post on the bus on the way, I'll put up a post tonight.

I feel it is about time for us to skip ahead. There would be quite a bit for them to do in Blackreach to make it livable, and there would be certain discoveries they would make once Meesei brought in the relevant scholars and experts. But, we can summarize most of it. I feel like I want to bring us to a scene where Meesei is holding a meeting with the other leaders to recap and present some of the scholars and other experts are working on. I also kind of want to have a chance to go into Saras' background. Perhaps have a conversation with him.

Then, there are other things we've had planned. Ahnasha and Fendros would have their wedding, maybe go to Cheydinhal. Meesei and probably Sabine would go to meet with Ariel. Kaleeth and Janius could piggy back onto that trip if we wanted to do a thing where Kaleeth re-visits her home. When do you think we should do these things, and in what order?

Okay. I think it would make sense to do the meeting with the leaders to recap things first. If that scene turns into discussions, the pack might speak with Saras in parallel while helping to clear rubble or fortify the defences.

I'm tossing up how much of the wedding really needs to be played out. It could just be summarised, as I don't think they would have an extravagant ceremony. Probably something low-key with friends. Maybe we could start with Ahnasha at the altar with everyone, dressed up nicely, Fendros coming in, they do the vows, and then have a short scene in the reception. I think that would be a good time for Gallus to have a chat with Ri'vashi about her social situation. Saras' background conversation could be put here as well.

Now, as for the road trip, we could knock over all three objectives with the one journey. The pack could head south and reach Black Marsh via Cheydinhal. Question is, would Gallus' pack be coming? The children wouldn't be much older, and Sabine and Peiter's relationship would still be rather tense unless Peiter's mental health improves.

The meeting would probably take place in a month's time, IC. I reason that would be enough to bring in the rest of the clan, clear away rubble, and secure enough of Blackreach for them to come and go safely. At the same time, Meesei would have brought in any scholars on the Dwemer from clans across Tamriel to study the place.

For Ahnasha and Fendros, if I'm remembering correctly, Ahnasha has been encouraging him to go to Cheydinhal to see his family. She might suggest to him to go to Cheydinhal, ostensibly to see his sister and allow her to be a part of the wedding.

As for the trip to Black Marsh, I don't think Meesei would find it necessary to enlist the help of another pack, since they are not undertaking a dangerous mission. Just a visit to Thorn, mostly. That said, she would have no objections if Sabine requested that Pieter come along. Pieter himself would be improving in terms of his mental condition, especially once he focuses on training magic. However, I think that "new love" feeling would start to wear off between them. Even in good mental health, Pieter does have some flaws.

Fair enough. We could do the journey before the wedding then. Would that mean that Llarasa would go to Skyrim to attend the wedding, or would they have the ceremony in Cheydinhal?

Also, yeah, either way, Sabine and Peiter's honeymoon phase is tapering closed. The thing is, if Peiter doesn't come with them, their relationship is definitely going to end. It might still end if he comes along, but not as likely. The thing is, Sabine still cares about him enough to want him to improve, so if he is enjoying training in magic with someone else, she would probably insist that he continues.

Edit: Oh! I completely forgot, Gallus is meant to go and find Yizan-Lei eventually. If he doesn't skive off before the end of the timeskip, he'd probably want to tag along with Meesei.

Ahnasha would likely tell Fendros that they could hold a small ceremony in Cheydinhal, or just outside of it. Perhaps find someone willing to perform Dunmer ceremonies between him and a Khajiit. Though, she may or may not have ulterior motives to try and get him to meet with the rest of the family.

I think Peiter and Sabine might start to see more of each others' flaws as things settle down. Peiter's mental state won't be as much of a factor, but he isn't always going to be so over-the-top affectionate as he was when things were fresh. If they are separated for a period of a few months, he might not want it to continue either. Being a part of Meesei's pack would take Sabine away from the clan rather frequently.

Sounds good.

I'm tempted to have Gallus run off during the timeskip to find Yizan-Lei. I don't know if I would play it or summarise it. If we do play it, it'll just be the scene where he finds the kid. Hell, he might be back as Meesei's pack is leaving.

Oh yeah, forgot about that. Well, Meesei's pack would be going to Black Marsh. If Peiter asked, she would be willing to allow him to accompany them, though she would not go all the way to Gideon.

Edit: Meant to say Gallus.

Yeah, may as well do it like that.

Anyway, I have to get back to study. I'll get a post up tonight, usual schedule.

I think I'm going to go with the usual interpretation that cities in the lore are physically bigger than portrayed in game, so the Silent City would probably have more buildings and rooms. It would give us a bit more freedom with using it.

Also, you could have Sabine take part in one or more of the research projects, if you wanted. I think Meesei would have been trying to help with them however she could. She knows very little about the Dwemer, but anything relating to enchanting she would have liked to be involved in. Ahnasha would be doing her own, private necromancy research away from the Silent City, as well as training with the Breton woman whose name currently escapes me. All of those skeletons probably would have been useful to her.

Fair enough. With how big we made the other cities, it only makes sense.

Sabine would probably focus on the soul tearing gas first and foremost, but she would still be drawn towards the soul gems in the caverns and how various Dwemer things work.

Unfortunately, the power is out for the entire state here. The biggest storm in about fourty years is rolling through and we think it might have taken out a main transmission tower. Even if I had enough battery to make a time skip post, the phone towers might not let me transmit it. They're getting pretty flakey with the weather. I'll post tomorrow if the power is back up by then.

For now, I think I'll read a book and wear a beanie to bed.
